Html default portal themes

Hello everyone.
First, thanks for read this questions, which is very short and clear.
I have a hmtl page in KM, and I adopting an specific portal theme, with this code:
<link href="http://enapbwqas:50100/irj/portalapps/com.sap.portal.design.urdesigndata/themes/portal /Intranet_MVC /ur/ur_7.0_ie6.css?7.0.15.1.0" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">
But now I need to adopting the "default" portal theme, so this html page would change with differents themes... with something like this:
href="http://enapbwqas:50100/irj/portalapps/com.sap.portal.design.urdesigndata/themes/portal/ <% default theme %> /ur/ur_7.0_ie6.css?7.0.15.1.0"
anyone knows what is the correct code of " <% default theme %> " ?? so the html style would change  dynamically...
Thanks for your help !!!
Tony.

Hi,
I am suprised that you need to include the link to the CSS file at all - since I thought that perhaps the link is generally included in the portal by default and should be available to your KM resource. My first suggestion would be to remove the CSS link and see what happens (e.g. if you can still reference the CSS classes).
Remember also that a KM document is just a KM document and not a dynamic resource with scripting capabilities - so you cannot use <%=theme%> placeholder that get populated at runtime. You could write a KM resource filter that parsed the KM document content and replaced the placeholder at runtime -but that is a bit messy in my opinion.
Hope that helps,
Simon

  • How to set Portal Theme for WDA iView different from user's Theme

    Hi Experts!
I have dual-stack system: ABAP server + Java. I have WDA application in ABAP server and I deployed it to NW Portal via iView (using template).
    There are two themes customized:
1:  Standard - to be used for all iviews except WDA iviews. This theme is set as default for user.
2.: WDA theme - to be used for some WDA iviews IRRESPECTIVELY what them is set in personalization settings of the user.
    So my question is:
Can I somehow set the Portal Theme to be used for specific iView no matter what Theme user has selected in his personalization?
Or if its not possible, can I set some specific Theme for WDA application?
So taks is to overcome settings for default portal theme for user and replace it with different theme. Is this possible?
    Thanks in advance.

Are you using an LDAP as your UME, or are the user records from from R/3 ?
Apparently  (Ive never done it) you used to be able to force a default language by editing this file (back in the EP5 days):
    <J2EE root>\WEB-INF\portal\system\properties\prtDefault.properties
Look at the following lines :
This is the default language to be used when none is specified
    request.defaultlanguage=en
    request.defaultcountry=us
If you prefer to have the same language for all users no matter their user locale, change the lines to this :
This is the default language to be used when none is specified
    request.mandatorylanguage=en
    request.mandatorycountry=us
I hope this works out for you

Also if the property If sap.useWebDynproStylesheet = True &#1048774; Portal uses this theme in a WebDynpro iView. Otherwise it will take the default portal theme for WebDynpro iViews.
    For your reference
    1. Go to visual administrator and server>services> Configuration Adapter> WebDynpro>sap.com> tcwddispwda> Property Sheet Default.
    2.Open it in edit mode.
3.Select the property sap.theme.default and set the following custom value.

I'm currently developing a web program which is based on html.
I want to adapt the portal theme that has been used in the rest of the portal.

When i change the Isolation Method to "URL", all my styles disappear and i just view plain html.
Does anybody know how I can import the portal theme in such an IView ?

    Hi,
You can check the actual users desktop by checking the Portal Display Rules:

  • Portal themes for SAP GUI for HTML

    Dear SDNs,
We have a portal theme designed with good and look and feel, but most of our applications are SAP Transaction iViews for HTML GUI. can we apply the same theme to HTML GUI applications? or at least can we change the background color and windows color of HTML GUI applications?
I have tried with ITS Theme generator, but it is just showing the tabs and others as image we need to change. Please provide inputs if any of you having the related information.
Can we also change the GUI for WIndows colors for multiple users? i know to change for one user's local layout, but how can we make one cusotm color for all the users.
    Your inputs will be appreciated,
    Thanks in advance,
    Lakshmi.

    Hi
I think we cannot apply Portal themes for SAP Transaction Iviews. However, there is a property called Stylesheet for each iview. Play with that property and let me know. The success rate is 50:50.
But I would recommend to migrate them to webdynpro ABAP. Do not still recide in 1995. Come and enjoy the 2010 Web2.0 look and feel and enhanced usability of Webdynpro.

    Chiranjeevi.

  • Web Dynpro application does not apply portal theme

    Hi Guys,
We created a new portal theme and assigned it to our users. The portal desktop gets assigned succesfully and portal applications also show the new theme colors. But all web dynpro pages still show in the blue SAP theme. This issue only occurs on our development portal, when we import the same theme on our test portal is all works fine.
I also tried to assign the WebDynpro parameters "sap.useWebDynproStyleSheet" and "sap.theme.default" and then the web dynpro applications are indeed forced into the portal theme. However, that is no soluition since all web dynpro applications then use the theme including SAP applications like the NetWeaver Administrator.
We looked at OSS note '1446099 - Web Dynpro application not displayed
in customer theme' but the stylesheets are not different.
    sap portal sytlesheet: UR=7.31.0.14.1
Web Dynpro Style sheet: UR Version=7.31.0.14.0
The portals in which the theme does work have the same stylesheet versions as mentioned above.
We also created an OSS message for this so if we solve it that way I will update this message. But if there is anyone on this forum that might have an idea that it would be highly appreciated. If the problem takes too long to solve we will perform a refresh from a portal that works but I hope that we will be able to find the reason of this behavior.
    Kind Regards,
    Nico van der Linden...

In theory, these versions should work correctly.
You can compare the patch levels applied on your dev portal and test portal - specifically compare the version/patch for the component EPPSERV*.SCA - and see if you have any differences there.
    Thanks,
    Shanti

  • How to make KM document iView use portal theme / styles

    Hi,
We're in the process of upgrading our NetWeaver Portal to 7.4 and trying to improve it wherever possible.
We have numerous home pages which appear as the first landing page when a menu item if selected.
These pages are stored as HTML files in KM and rendered as KM Document iViews.
Is there an easy way of making these pages use the portal theme?
Currently we link to our own CSS file which means there can be differences in appearance and if a user selected a different theme (e.g. high contrast), these pages would not change.
I don't see any iView properties that could help.
I did wonder whether we could use Web Page Composer but from a quick test this needs some work to set it up before I can evaluate further.
    Any help greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Alan

Is HTML Filter for Portal Stylesheets used for the repository where you are storing the HTML documents? Can you view the source of a document rendered by the KM Document iView? It should have a reference to the portal style sheet.

  • Moving custom default portal from 1.1 to 1.2

Is there a way to capture or backup the html & image files from a custom default portal in ISE 1.1 to be able to move it to a fresh install of ISE 1.2.  Would it be in the backup somewhere?

Cisco ISE allows you to make global customizations that that affects the look, feel and behavior of the web pages users see in the Guest, Sponsor, and My Devices portals:
You can check the below link for step by step configuration:

  • Using Portal Theme for a Web Dynpro ABAP Application

    Hello everyone,
I've created a web-dynpro abap application that I display on one of my portal pages using a Web-dynpro iView.
Somehow, the WDA app never reads the portal theme properties and has the default SAP roadshow theme colors. I've tried almost everything including passing the theme as an application parameter using WDTHEMEROOT and WDFORCEEXTERNALSTYLESHEET params.
Documentation states that the application should automatically read the portal's theme, but it never does.
Interestingly, I have one more web-dynpro java application that works fine and uses the portal theme correctly.
Am I missing anything? Are there special considerations for WDA apps to adapt to the current portal theme?
Any ideas, suggestions, solutions would be greatly appreciated.

    >Am I missing anything? Are there special considerations for WDA apps to adapt to the current portal theme?
What are the release and support package levels of both your ABAP system and your portal?  If the ABAP AS has a later release or SP level than the portal, the Web Dynpro framework will always fall back to using the theme of the backend ABAP system.  This is to protect the application rendering.  Running with a theme (CSS and JavaScript) from an older release or support package level could cause the application to render incorrectly.

    Hi Bharath,
here is the online documentation regarding portal themes...

    For themes import it says:
    1.      Choose System Administration ® Portal Display ® Theme Archive in the delivered administrator role.
    2.      The current versions of your themes are offered as a zip file for downloading under Export Theme.
Note: The zip files are automatically created when you select Theme Archive.

    Hi Bharath,
You can import your portal themes through System Administration->Portal Display->Theme Archive.
After the theme import your theme will be visible in the list of themes in theme editor.
Theme Archive is an iView which should be in the "System Admin" role (pcd:portal_content/administrator/system_admin/system_admin_role)
(so Portal Content -> Portal Administrators -> System Administrators -> System Admin)
It's integrated in this role via a delta-link of the workset "System Admin" (pcd:portal_content/com.sap.pct/administrator/system_admin/worksets/com.sap.portal.system_admin_ws)
(so Portal Content -> Content Provided by SAP -> Admin Content -> System Administrators -> Worksets -> System Administration).
<b>So if you are not able to view Theme Archive</b> check in PCD and assign yourself a role that integrates the iView.
    Hope this helps.
    Regards,
    Pooja.

  • Portal Theme Error

    Hi,
I've copied the standart "sap tradeshow" theme to TEST and set is as default for everyone by changing the default main rule settings. But someting looks wrong and when i call portal URL, it appears but when i logged in it displays an empty page.
How can I change this setting to "sap tradeshow" again?

If you want to make sap tradeshow as the default theme these are the following steps
1.go to system administration>>Portal display>>choose desktop and display rules.
    2.browse portal contents>>Portal users>>Standard Portal Users>> Default Portal Desktop.
3.open it, you can see radio buttons for themes.
    4. select the theme you need and set it as default(using the button at the bottom of the table).
    5. Save it and close
    6. refresh the page
This is how you set themes as default for every one
