Html link attributes

Would you please help me with the html code to create a link
that will open the new browser window without menu bars/navigation.
I can't find how this is done in Dreamweaver nor straight coding.
Thanks so much for your help!

I wouldn't recommend it as if I went to your site, I would
leave after such
browser manipulation, but...
If you haven't already, you would be well served searching

  • Passing values to action form in struts using html:link tag in struts

    hi
    As we can post values to action form bean in struts using a <html:text> tag in side a form.
    Can the same be achieved by using a html:link attribute.
    If not then how can this be achieved (i.e. posting a form on click of a link and populating action form bean property for the same).
    thanx in advance.

  • Struts - HTML:link tag with dynamic page attribute?

    I am trying to use the html:link but the page value is dynamic (resulting from the bean within the iterate tag). The code below doesn't work - error. Is there a way to use all Struts tags and make this happen. Any ideas?
            <logic:iterate id="myMenuForm" property="menuItem" scope="session" name="menuForm" >          <html:link page="<bean:write name="myMenuForm" property="menuDisplayName"/>">                  <bean:write name="myMenuForm" property="menuDisplayName"/>          </html:link>        </logic:iterate> Thanks,
    mlv

    Thanks for all your help. Based on all you your comments, it is now working
    and I thought I would provide some details about how I got it working.
    There are not that many examples within the Struts documentation.
    id = unique name for the object that can be referenced within the iterate
    tag.
    name = is the Bean, in this case it's the ActionForm, that contains the List
    object that will be iterated. In my case, I have a ActionForm that contains
    a List property that contains all the menu item rows from the databse.
    property = is the property name within the ActionForm that is the List
    object. Links to the getter method
    Within the <bean:write> tag you use the id name to get a handle on the final
    object from the iterate tag and the property is one of the property values
    within the bean that is contained within the List.
    So in this case I have a ActionForm bean that contains a List property that
    contains a collection of beans.
    FormAction - bean
    property menuItems of type List contains:
    - row 1 = bean (with a property of menuDisplayName)
    - row 2 = bean (with a property of menuDisplayName)
    - row 3 = bean (with a property of menuDisplayName)
    Here's the JSP code for the tag.
            <logic:iterate id="myMenuForm" name="menuForm" property="menuItem" >
              <html:link page="www.yahoo.com"/>
                      <bean:write name="myMenuForm" property="menuDisplayName"/>
              </html:link>
            </logic:iterate>Now I would like to make the <html:link> page attribute value dynamic from
    the iterate bean. Therefore, you can make the url for the link dynamic If
    you know how to do that, please feel free to provide some help.

  • Html:link not working in struts project driving me mad, please help...

    Afternoon all,
    Can anyone help me with an issue I'm having with my first struts project, I'm learning as I go.
    Anyway, I'm trying to create a bog standard hypertext link which passes a value back to a specified struts action. The flow of the application
    is as follows:
    1) search.jsp
    User enters a name and postcode to search on, then click submit
    2) searchAction
    Struts action 'search' is called and does the search in a back-end db.
    Each result found from search is created as a javabean (named resultsBean), and added to a list object. The list object is set as a request
    attribute named 'SearchResults'.
    The action is then forwarded on to another jsp page named results.jsp
    3) results.jsp
    The results.jsp page retrieves the list object from the 'SearchResults' attribute and loops through each entry
    in the list and converts each entry to the 'resultsBean' javabean object.
    Each resultsBean object has a getVirtualID method which stores a string value. This value is retrieved and a hypertext link is created which
    passes this value on to another struts action named 'select'.
    When this link is clicked on, the select struts action is called and the value passed as a parameter is retrieved.
    This is the part I can't get to work, I can't get the link to render properly. When I click the link the select action retrieves
    & lt;%= resultsBean.getVirtualID() & gt; as the value of the parameter 'vid' instead of the value stored in the getVirtualID method of the resultsBean.
    Listed below is the code from my results.jsp page. If anyone can help me get this to work I would be very grateful.
    Thanks in advance,
    Alex

    <html:link forward="/searchpage">Return to search page</html:link>

    If you have part of an attribute dynamic, you need to make the entire attribute an expression.
    ie instead of
    page="/select.do?vid='<%= resultsBean.getVirtualId() %>'"
    it has to be
    page="<%= "/select.do?vid=" + resultsBean.getVirtualID() %>"
    However for my approach, I would aim for zero scriptlets, and use the struts tags even more. For instance instead of an iterator, use the struts logic:iterate tag (or the JSTL c:forEach>
    Also instead of div tags, I would use html table tags - <table> <tr><td> etc etc. Thats what its for right?
    Here is at least some of it rewritten with struts tags.
    I left out the div tags so I could focus on the "important" stuff.
    <logic:iterate id="resultsBean" name="SearchResults">
      <html:link styleClass="results"  page="/select.do" paramId="vid" paramName = "resultsBean" paramProperty="virtualId">
        <bean:write name="resultsBean" property="fullName"/>
      </html:link>
      <bean:write name="resultsBean" property="fullAddress"/>
    <%= resultsBean.getReferenceIcons(portletResponse) %>
    <input id="<%= resultsBean.getVirtualId() %>" name="ckbox" type="checkbox" value="" title="tick to select for merging" style="border: 0px solid #ffffff;">
    </logic:iterate>I'm not entirely certain what you are doing with that checkbox at the end. They all have the same name, but no value. You couldn't identify at the server end which one was clicked.
    Hope this helps some,

  • How to include HTML link in BI Publisher Report?

    Hi,
    I am trying to include an HTML link in a BI Publisher report. But I get the HTML Code, not the link.
    I have put this in the Data Set SQL Query:
    select id_constancia, rfc, apellido_paterno, apellido_materno, nombre, e_mail_empleado,
    'a href="http://dbxserver.dbxprts.com:7778/pls/apex/f?p=134:1:::NO::P1_ID_CONSTANCIA:'||ID_CONSTANCIA||'">CITA</a ' as liga_cita
    from geiq_constancias
    where entregada = '0' and sust_rh = '0'
    And I have included the field LIGA_CITA in the rtf template,
    But I get this in the HTML output:
    =======
    Please clic on the link below to log into the system:
    a href="http://dbxserver.dbxprts.com:7778/pls/apex/f?p=134:1:::NO::P1_ID_CONSTANCIA:1183">CITA</a
    =========
    (I removed the beginning and ending '<''>' to prevent the text to be shown as a link)
    I have put the property "Make HTML output accessible" to TRUE in the report configuration, but nothing changes.
    Does anyone know how to make this work?
    Thanks.
    Francisco

    Hi Francisco,
    Note:
    your xml should only have
    <URL>http://dbxserver.dbxprts.com:7778/pls/apex/f?p=134:1:::NO::P1_ID_CONSTANCIA:1183</URL>
    Show me your sample XML , i can help you.
    What is your expected output ? PDF or HTML ?
    here it is.
    option1:
    If the XML data includes an element that contains a hyperlink , then you can use that element to create dynamic hyperlinks at runtime.
    a. insert hyperlink from word menu
    b. In the Type the file or Web page name field of the Insert Hyperlink dialog box, enter the following syntax:
    c. {ELEMENT_NAME_WHICH_HAS_URL_LINK}
    where ELEMENT_NAME_WHICH_HAS_URL_LINK is the xml data element name
    option2:
    create a form field, you can add it
    <fo:basic-link external-destination="http://www.google..com">
    <fo:inline text-decoration="underline">google Link</fo:inline>
    </fo:basic-link>
    or
    <fo:basic-link external-destination="{ELEMENT_NAME}">
    <fo:inline text-decoration="underline">google Link</fo:inline>
    </fo:basic-link>
    or
    <fo:basic-link>
    <xsl:attribute name="external-destination"><xsl:value-of select="ELEMENT_URL"/>
    </xsl:attribute>
           <xsl:value-of select="LINK_NAME"/>
    </fo:basic-link>

  • How to restore the "Linked" attribute of a picture to "false"?

    Just after importing a picture, the "linked" attribute of the
    picture member is "false". When distributed, the data of picture is
    packed in the DCR file.
    If some lingo code changed the "filename" of the member,
    like follow:
    member("MyPicMember").filename = ".\NewPicture.jpg"
    The content of the picture would be changed. And as a
    result, the "linked" attribute of the member would be changed to
    "true" at the same time. A triangle appears on top right conner of
    the icon of the picture member. If distributed again at this time,
    the data of picture is not packed in DCR file. Picture file must
    exist beside the DCR.
    Now I want to restore the "linked" to "false" (because I
    want to write new projects based on the old, I want to let the
    picture data in the DCR again). I found it is difficult to restore
    it. The "linked" attribute can not be modified, whether in Property
    Inspector or in code. I found the only method is delete the member
    and import again, manually, one by one. But there are many pictures
    in my program, so it makes me tired.
    Anyone tell me a good method to restore them? I hope it can
    use code to do it.

    put the following handler in a movie script:
    on mUnlinkBitmaps
    cl = the activecastlib
    sel = the selection of castlib cl
    anz = sel.count
    repeat with n = 1 to anz
    repeat with m = sel[n][1] to sel[n][2]
    memref = member(m, cl)
    if memref.type = #bitmap then
    fname = memref.filename
    if fname.length then
    memref.importfileinto(fname, [#trimwhitespace:0])
    put "imported:"&&memref
    end if
    end if
    end repeat
    end repeat
    end
    select the members you want to import (or "select all" to
    import all linked bitmaps) and type
    mUnlinkBitmaps
    into the message window and press return.
    you can also take a look at my handlermenu tool:
    http://www.farbflash.de/cgi-bin/blosxom.cgi/Dokumente/Director/Tools/handlermenu.html
    which has this among other authoring utilities in the
    utilities menu.

  • HTML Link -AS2 fine, AS3 weird behaviour

    Hi Guys, I'm working on a project at the moment, and am
    seeing weird behaviour with the way my swf handles html links
    inside dynamic textboxes. When rendered as a AS2 file, the link
    works on a release as expected. When its inside a AS3 file the link
    will only work if the user right click and chooses 'open in new
    window' was there a change in behaviour how AS3 handles these
    links, or is there now an declaration needed to be made to allow
    these link to have the old behaviour?
    The project calls for xml data and embedded in that is a html
    link. Originally I thought it might have been the way I'd formed
    the xml so I tried with a hardcoded version instead (dynamic
    textbox, add text -> highlight -> add link through properties
    tab). But I still see the same behaviour between the as2 and as3
    versions.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Cheers.

    Actually, the ''href'' attribute is supposed to direct the browser to a new URL, etc., not run a script. Instead, use the ''onclick'' event attribute:
    ''<a onclick = “$('.div-feedback').fadeIn();”></a>''.
    Happy coding!

  • Html:link and javascript

    Maybe I'm asking the wrong question, how do you execute JavaScript within a <html:link> tag in Struts. I simply want to execute a collapse / expand divs with an onclick attribute in the <html:link> tag.
    Can this be done with some other tag?

    and why didnt u try putting the onlick tag ?

  • HTML link in column ... Need Help!!!!!

    I need to use a column in my viewobject to create an html link to an external resource on another server, a simple webpage. I've used the RowImpl for my view object to build the HREF but when the rows are rendered the link is fully escaped and isn't a working link. I need to have this link enabled by 2pm today and I'm totally "stuck on stupid" trying to get it to work. Any help, and fast, would be hugely appreciated!
    Thanks!!
    scott

    Is your RowImpl building just an URL, or is it building
    the full bit of HTML, like "<a href='....'>some text</a>"?
    If it's just building just an URL, you want to use
    something like:
      <link text="Whatever text you need">
        <boundAttribute name="destination">
          <bc4j:attrValue name="hrefAttr"/>
        </boundAttribute>
      </link>If your VO is building the whole bit of HTML, then
    go with <formattedText>:
      <formattedText>
        <boundAttribute name="text">
          <bc4j:attrValue name="hrefAttr"/>
        </boundAttribute>
      </formattedText>If your HTML is really funky (or you're using JDev
    9.0.2), you may need to substitute <rawText>
    for <formattedText>.
    In both of these cases, the snippet of code belongs
    inside the right <bc4j:viewObjectScope>, and the
    "name" on that <bc4j:attrValue> is the attribute in
    your row that contains the href you're generating.

  • html:link .... Struts

    I want a Link as action
    MyJsp.jsp
    <html:link action="/MyAction?myParam=true">MyText</html:link>
    MyAction.java
    in der Methode execute (...........)
    String Str = request.getParameter("MyParam");
    the pProblem I becom the Str null whay ????
    thanks

    You can't map the action directly to an Action class.
    You have to map it via the struts-config.xml with an action like:
    <action path="/myAction" type="MyAction"/>
    And call this action from the jsp by f.ex.
    <% pageContext.setAttribute("MyParam", "Hello"); %>  <!--just adding a parameter -->
    <html:link action="/myAction" name="MyParam"/>The name attribute specifies the query string parameter(s).
    You should be able to access the parameter now in MyAction with your original execute method.

  • Html:link submit and passing parameters

    I need to submit the form when the <html:link ..... > is clicked/pressed and also need to pass parameters.
    <jsp:useBean id="mapParams" class="java.util.HashMap"/>
    <c:set target="${mapParams}" property="theKey" value="${theValue}"/>
    <c:set target="${mapParams}" property="theKey1" value="${theValue1}"/>
    <html:link href="javascript:document.myform.submit()" name="mapParams" >
    <c:out value="${custItr.empName}"/>
    </html:link>
    When i click on the link getting javascript error which says "syntax error". when I remove the "name" attribute in <html:link> there is no error but I need to have the name attribute to pass the parameters.
    How to do both the submit and passing of parameters using <html:link>? Your help is appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Parameters can only be passed like that to an actual URL. eg http://localhost:8080/myApp/showEmployee?id=123&dept=Sales
    In this case, you are using the link tag to invoke javascript - not a url. URL Parameters don't apply to this string
    If you are indeed submitting a form, I would suggest that you instead go with putting hidden fields on the form to submit the value.
    Use <html:hidden>

  • Breadcrumb Link Attributes

    Hello All,
    I'm trying to modify breadcrumb link appearance. On 'Edit Breadcrumb Template' page I fill 'Link Attributes' field with style="text-decoration:none;" This doesn't work and the target source html page has no changes.
    Question: should I directly modify the theme's css file ? Is there a smarter workaround?
    Thanks

    Hello,
    Just override the breadcrumb class in your page or your page template. You usually don't want to edit the shipped css's unless you know exactly what you are doing because it will effect every application using that theme.

  • Re: bug in html:link code completion

    You are right, code completion does not work in this case. But, the
    html:link Smart Editor (in the Link Parameter group) allows you to select a
    bean name/property for the paramName/paramProperty attributes.

    Hi thereI have a form containing an object eg
    StudentForm
    Student student;
    public Student getStudent();
    public void setStudent();
    In the JSP page, I type in
    html:link action="/editStudent" paramName="" paramProperty=""
    Edit
    /html:link
    Nitrox does not display any thing when I "Cntrl-Space" on paramName=""
    neither on paramProperty=""
    Hoepe this bug can be fixed in 2.0.
    Regards

    Please send a test case. I'm unable to reproduce this in a simple project in 9.0.3.1 or 9.0.3.2.
    Is there entity inheritance involved?
    Do your entity XML files mention _superAttr anywhere in them? If so, you might be hitting a known issue with 9.0.3 relating to entity inheritance at design time and the accessor attributes.

  • HTML links in Vibe Feed and digest e-mails do not work on GW 8.0.3client

    I have GroupWise 8.0.3hp1 on NetWare 6.5.8 and a Vibe 3.3 install on
    SUSE 11 (the downloadable Vibe demo virtual machine from Novell's site).
    I have recently started upgrading GroupWise clients on Windows 7 PCs
    (64bit), and have been testing Vibe. I have run into a problem with
    HTML links in GW clients not working on PCs where the GW client has been
    upgraded.
    This problem occurs using the GroupWise 8.0.3hp2 and 8.0.3hp3 clients,
    but does not occur on a 8.0.2hp2 client, so it appears to be GroupWise
    client related. I haven't tested any other client versions.
    1. When using the GW 8.0.3 client, if I select any of the "Novell Vibe
    OnPrem", "Favorites", or "My Teams" folders, I can see the Vibe Feed
    display showing entries for sites I'm following. But clicking on the
    links in these entries does nothing, so I cannot use the Vibe Feed to go
    directly to files, profiles, etc. The same Vibe Feed links from the
    Vibe web browser interface or from a GW8.0.2hp2 client works fine.
    2. If I have e-mail digest notifications setup to let me know when
    changes are made to a folder or file in Vibe, the e-mails are delivered
    to me just fine. But once again, none of the links in the e-mails work
    when using the GW8.0.3 client. Clicking on them does nothing. If I
    look at the e-mail message source, I can copy-and-paste the URLs
    directly into a browser and they work fine, so the URLs themselves are
    correct. Again, these links work fine if I use the GroupWise WebAccess
    or a GW8.0.2hp2 client.
    Is the GW 8.0.3 client is blocking these HTML links? I receive no
    notification from the client asking whether to "unblock" any
    links/scripts/images when viewing messages with these Vibe links.
    Any suggestions for getting these to work on GW 8.0.3 client?
    Thanks,
    -Greg
