HTML snippet not publishing correctly in iWeb

I am attempting to add phpicalendar to my website by using iFrames. After adding the correct code inside of the HTML snippet window, the Calendar shows up inside of iWeb correctly. I then publish the updated page. When I go to the website, the calendar does not show up on the page.
I know the phpicalendar is working correctly since I can redirect my browser to it on my site and it shows correctly... It just is not working on my page. Below is my website and the calendar page:
http://www.youbelongatlife.org/AthensLifeFellowship/Calendar.html
http://www.youbelongatlife.org/AthensLifeFellowship/php/month.php

The code I am using for the HTML snippet is as follows:
<iframe src=
"http://www.youbelongatlife.org/AthensLifeFellowship/php"
style="width:1015px; height:800px;
border-width:0px;
border-color:#990033;
border-style:solid;"
scrolling="auto" >
</iframe>

  • Iweb wont publish picture borders wont show and mp3 in html snippet wont publish.

    Hi all,
    I'm new to this forum,
    I'm following www.iweb for musicians.com website design, Roddy the man is ace.
    I'm trying to publish my site with borders and flection on my first page and also a HTML snip box with a code for a mp3.
    It all shows up and plays fine in my iweb program but when i publish to a folder then upload using a 3rd party ftp, these additions dont show up.
    It's kind of like its maybe not 'saving'  correctly in iweb and not publishing correctly?
    Any help greatly accepted.
    Thanks,
    Paul
    iWeb 3.0.4

    iWeb always publishes correctly.
    Since you paste the code in a HTML Snippet it is your responsibilty to make it work correctly.
    My guess is that you also need to upload the mp3 file. So check that first.
    Or wait for our resident technology ace.

  • Projects first created in Windows are now not publishing correctly from a Mac

    I've been using the Windows version of Captivate for months without issues, putting together a large number of HTML5 courses, non-responsive. Lots of custom javascript via the 'Execute JavaScript' action for smartshapes, etc.
    I just purchased a new Macbook Pro and then purchased a subscription license for Captivate. Now my cptx files that were working fine when opened and published from Windows Cp are very not publishing correctly - the javascript does not execute, etc. Everything *appears* fine within Captivate but I get issues upon preview/publish.
    Thank goodness I have the 30 days to cancel the subscription and get a refund...but before I do that - has anyone else tried switching to a Mac and run into problems with Captivate projects?
    Both machines have 8.01 installed. The only thing I can think of is, after installing 8.0 via the subscription download, I then did the 'Check for updates' and it went and downloaded and installed the 8.01 update. When I did this on Windows I followed the directions on a blog post somewhere (sorry - I forget the name!) that stressed deleting some directories on the machine first before running the update. I assumed the subscription files would be fixed/patched....

    After struggling with this last night I took a look again this morning and narrowed down and corrected the problem. Basically, this is what happened to cause the issue and how I resolved it. Hopefully it helps others in the future.
    Steps
    Create project in Windows version of Cp (I was using version 8.01).
    For my client's requirements, which are quite unique and complex compared to the typical Cp project, custom quiz questions/scoring had to be developed. Since these are HTML5 (non-responsive) courses, and Javascript is the fastest/most efficient way to do this, I used Javascript extensively for quizzes via the 'Execute Javascript' action. So for quiz questions, each answer is simply a smartshape (transparent, with answer text in it) that triggers the 'Execute Javascript' on click. In addition, on many of the quiz slides there are Edge Animate/HTML5 interactions embedded.
    Worked fine on windows upon publish. But when I opened on a new Mac and published, when a question answer was clicked nothing would happen.
    Turns out the problem seems to be with the text in the Javascript window. I think it somehow gets corrupted, though it looks fine. I had to literally delete the javascript, save it, and then copy it back in. Once I did that, it works.
    I've invested too much time in this project so far, so don't want to risk any more major issues popping up like this, so I switched back to Windows and canceled my subscription this morning. Fortunately I have a license from my employer for Windows and will just use that with Boot Camp.

  • IWeb HTML Snippet NOT WORKING.

    Hello!
    Whenever I open iWeb and try to insert HTML Snippet, the proper HTML rectangle that has < H T M L > and a map of the world in the background appears, just like that. No edit box has appeared. When I double click it, a blue outline appears, but still no edit box to insert the HTML code into.
    I've tried removing com.apple.iWeb.plist and also com.apple.iapp.plist or something along those lines, and also removing the iWeb folder from Caches, and nothing has worked.
    I'm using iWeb 2.0.4, obviously.

    Did you purchase iLife 09 in your attempt to upgrade to iWeb 3? If not that's why you couldn't run any of the iWeb 3 updaters. You have to have iWeb 3.0 installed from the iLife disk installed.
    What was unsuccessful about trying to reinstall iWeb 2? Did you delete all receipts with iWeb in the file name located in the HD/Library/Receipts folder before reinstalling iWeb? If no, delete them and the application and reinstall.

  • IWeb HTML Snippet not working!Help!

    I am new to building a website but understand where to copy and paste the HTML code to and from. However, everything I have tried will not work in the HTML Snippet.  I have spent 6 hours trying to find a way to get it to work. Suggestions???

    Anything from Youtube, Vimeo and other sites. Below is one of the Youtube embedded codes.
    <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/kCZqyWw2--M?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
    This is the "old" code for the below video.
    <object width="420" height="315"><param name="movie" value="//www.youtube.com/v/kCZqyWw2--M?version=3&amp;hl=en_US&amp;rel=0"></para m><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="//www.youtube.com/v/kCZqyWw2--M?version=3&amp;hl=en_US&amp;rel=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="420" height="315" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>
    Neither of these will work. The "old" code will make my html box turn white but nothing else happens.
    Any suggestions?

  • IWeb HTML Snippets not working in Explorer

    I made some HTML snippets to show a web page inside my own similar the way frames, which works great. But they don't work when brought up in Internet Explorer on a PC. Anyone know what the problem might be.

    Same problem. They work fine with Safari and Firefox.
    I am still trying to solve it.

  • Html snippet not displaying live info

    Hi, this is my first post. I hope someone can help me? I've inserted a html snippet on a page which has an <IFRAME SRC = > code pointing to a .html file on my server. I know the destination it's pointing to displays correctly as I can load this up in a separate window and it displays exactly the way it should, exactly the way it's written and the images inside it. However in iWeb I can't see the live view inside the html smippet. I've tried re-inserting the html snippet, but I can't get iWeb to show me exactly what my page will look like. However when I publish my site, either via MobileMe or to my server, it displays fine. Why isn't iWeb displaying the correct live info? Thanks for helping.

    Why isn't iWeb displaying the correct live info? Thanks for helping.
    Sometimes you simply have to imagine what it will look like in a browser.
    It's called webdesign. Create a lot of page to get the hang of it and you will get used to it.

  • Album Page not publishing correctly

    I've been using iWeb09 for about a year now for a small gallery. I've never had any problems until I recently tried to create an album page. Setting up the page was easy but I can't get it to publish correctly. Only 2 of the 8 albums appear on my website. I've tried re-building the page from scratch, I tried downsizing the file size of the images, I tried uploading the images through fetch instead directly uploading through iWeb's FTP, nothing has worked. You can find the offending page here:
    http://www.homeskooledgallery.com/HomeskooledGallery/Photo_Albums/PhotoAlbums.html
    Since the page doesn't work I have been Publishing the site without this page on the navigation bar so the only way to find it is by copying and pasting the address directly. I appreciate any and all help!
    Thanks!

    your pictures file names contain space , iweb albums/photos page use picture file names to create sub folder (inside Media folder), here is your media folder:
    http://www.homeskooledgallery.com/HomeskooledGallery/Photo_Albums/Pages/Clean-Up_Your_Own_Messfiles/Media/
    most if not all servers do not allow special characters in directory/file path, so no directories were created. hence missing thumbnails, ie:
    http://www.homeskooledgallery.com/HomeskooledGallery/Photo_Albums/Pages/Clean-Up_Your_Own_Messfiles/Media/Clean-Up%20Your%20Own%20Mess%204/mip.jpg
    notice the %20 in the url? they are spaces, you need to remove spaces and special characters from your pictures file names and re-do all your albums/photos pages.

  • Html snippets don't work in iWeb 09.

    I've not added an html snippet to my site for a while, but they've worked in the past. Now they look fine when I'm working in iWeb, but when I go to the site after uploading, there's nothing visible. If I select all, I can see the box that should be holding the stuff of the snippet. I've tried reinstalling the preferences file and that didn't do anything.
    Here's one page:
    http://virtualfieldwork.org/ReaLBlog.html
    And another (this one you need to scroll down):
    http://virtualfieldwork.org/2011_PD_Application.html
    The formatting at the top doesn't match what I did either -- I made a cross through of the May 10 deadline and the updated information in red. So, there's more quirky than the snippets.
    I recently upgraded to a brand new MacBook Pro and transfered everything via Firewire from my old MacBook Pro. The same problem was going on on the old computer.
    Thanks,
    Don

    The application page (http://virtualfieldwork.org/2011_PD_Application.html) has this:

    The ReaLBlog page (http://virtualfieldwork.org/ReaLBlog.html) has this:
    <iframe src=http://realearthsystemscience.blogspot.com/
    style="width:1000px; height:1500px;
    border-width:0px;
    border-color:#990033;
    border-style:solid;"
    scrolling="auto" >
    </iframe>
    There are also Facebook and Stumble Upon buttons that aren't working/appearing.
    After perusing the related posts, I was hoping Old Toad would reply.

  • Html snippet not working; created from Taco html edit Component Library

    Ok, I've searched for days on the discussion board for the answer to this one..... hopefully someone can give me a couple of pointers....
    I have a component created from Taco html edit Component Library that I cannot get to work as an inserted snippet into iWeb 3.0.2.
    Why can't I get this to work? I've seen first hand that they work on someone else's website that she constructs in html directly, not using iWeb. Any help greatly appreciated.
    Taco created three files. They are:
    TSWAccordion.css
    TSWDomUtils.js
    TSWAccordion.js
    Here is the code:
    <html>
    <head>
    <title></title>
    <script type="text/javascript" src="Scripts/TSWAccordion.js"></script>
    <script type="text/javascript" src="Scripts/TSWDomUtils.js"></script>
    <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="Scripts/TSWAccordion.css" />
    <!-- BEGIN COMPONENT Accordion - Taco HTML Edit -->
    <style type="text/css">
    #myAccordion.tswAccordion
    width: 200px;
    height: 400px;
    background-color: #f0f0f0;
    #myAccordion .tswAccordionActiveSection, #myAccordion .tswAccordionInactiveSection
    background-color: #f0f0f0;
    width: 100%;
    height: 400px;
    #myAccordion .tswAccordionHeader
    text-align: center;
    padding: 2px;
    font-family: Verdana;
    font-size: 16.0px;
    #myAccordion .tswAccordionActiveSection .tswAccordionHeader
    background-color: #7086aa;
    color: #ffffff;
    border: 1px solid #cccccc;
    #myAccordion .tswAccordionInactiveSection .tswAccordionHeader
    background-color: #f0f0f0;
    color: #000000;
    border: 1px solid #cccccc;
    #myAccordion .tswAccordionHeader
    #myAccordion .tswAccordionBody
    padding: 5px;
    </style>
    <!-- END COMPONENT Accordion - Taco HTML Edit -->
    </head>
    <body>
    <!-- BEGIN COMPONENT Accordion - Taco HTML Edit -->
    Title 1
    <!--Content for section 1-->
    Title 2
    <!--Content for section 2-->
    Title 3
    <!--Content for section 3-->
    <script type="text/javascript">
    var accordion = tswAccordionGetForId('myAccordion');
    </script>
    <!-- END COMPONENT Accordion - Taco HTML Edit -->
    </body>
    </html>

    You need to upload these three files in a folder to the root folder on your server:
    TSWAccordion.css
    TSWDomUtils.js
    TSWAccordion.js
    The folder cannot be named "Scripts" as shown in your code as you already have one of that name.
    Say it is named "Accordion". You then need to give the absolute URL to these files rather than the relative one shown in the code....
    http://www.yourdomainname.com/Accordion/TSWAccordion.css
    http://www.yourdomainname.com/Accordion/TSWDomUtils.js
    http://www.yourdomainname.com/Accordion/TSWAccordion.js

  • HTML snippet not working

    I have multiple sites that I've created with iWeb and have used the program for years. However, in an attempt to update one of my sites I encountered a road block. I was trying to embed html from my Vimeo site using the html snippet function but the regular html snippet window was not present, (i.e. no gray window to place code, no apply button. Just a blank white box). When I do copy the code it just sits on the page like text.
    I've re-installed iWeb but the same scenario is occurring.
    Thank you,
    C

    Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Try the following:
    1 - close iWeb.
    2 - delete the iWeb preference file, com.apple.iWeb.plist, that resides in your Home/Library/Preferences folder.
    3 - go to your Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.iWeb folder and delete the contents.
    4 - reboot.
    5 - launch iWeb and try again.

  • HTML Snippets not showing on online site.

    Hi, I really hope someone can help me. Basically my Html snippets/widgets are not appearing on my online website. They are there when i publish to my desktop but as soon as i publish it online they disappear?..I can however see them in the public html content file but they seem to be in a widget html file of their own and not part of the main html page source file.
    Is this why i can't see them?..Do i need to move the html widget file to view it as part of the page.
    All suggestions welcome..MAny thanks.
    Ali

    Thanks, I did need to do what you suggested and it has me half way there. The only thing is now the graphics of the html button i created are not showing only the 'text of the paypal link' where the button should be, the link works, it's just the buttons not there..
    Anymore suggests please.
    Thanks,
    Ali

  • Adding my google map via HTML snippet not working

    I have made my own site where I added a google map. It has worked for some time (oddly enough only for people who use browsers other than explorer), but recently is not functioning right.
    I can embed my google map using the HTML snippet function and it seems to work fine. But when I go to the site I see a picture of the google map, but it is not interective and all the info I have added is not there.
    I have to say that iweb is really querkey. I had to tell it at least 7 times to connect to a different file and each time it connects to an old file. in the end the entire page had to be rebilt before it understood what I was asking it to do.
    It would be nice if it just worked the way it is advertised to work.

    IT seems to work now. I just had to let it think for half a day.
    Thanks anyway.

  • Internal Links in HTML Document Not Working Correctly in PDF

    I have an HTML document that contains internal links (basically a Table of Contents). When the document is displayed in a browser, the internal links work correctly. However, when I use Acrobat 8 Professional to create a PDF version from the HTML source, the links don't go to the correct place when clicked. It almost appears that they are off by one, e.g., link 7 goes to anchor 8. I can send the source document for you to look at if you email me at eharris -at- synnovation.com. I am not expert in HTML and perhaps the links/anchors are not done correctly when I create the HTML document. Does anyone have any ideas on this?

    This one has the same problem. For instance, "Anchor1" as <a name="Anchor1"> appears 13 times. I am sure that your problem is that Acrobat is going to the last occurance that is just before the first one. As I scan through the file I find similar results for all of the anchors. When I used Tidy, it reduces about 1350 errors to about 474, but that is still not too good. The validator is flagging a lot of identical IDs as well as unrecognized attributes (like ONSELECTSTART). The attributes correctly accepted by body are
    Attribute Specifications
    * BACKGROUND=URI (background image for document)
    * BGCOLOR=Color (background color for document)
    * TEXT=Color (text color for document)
    * LINK=Color (link color for document)
    * VLINK=Color (visited link color for document)
    * ALINK=Color (active link color for document)
    * ONLOAD=Script (document has been loaded)
    * ONUNLOAD=Script (document has been exited)
    as listed on htmlhelp.com for HTML 4. There may be some new ones in HTML 5, but I did not check.
    I am not looking at all of your HTML in detail, but there appears to be a lot of unneeded things based on the error messages from the validator. Many browsers will let you display the stuff (even Acrobat), but there may be errors that crop in when you do not expect it or on some other browsers that the one you check. Thus again, you should use a validator. If you are only off a few tags that might be fine, but when it is in the 1000s, there is an issue. It would also be good to break your page up into parts. It is good practice on web pages for each page to be not much more than one screen. That is often exceeded, but 59 screens of info (on my screen) is a bit much. The TOC is definitely needed in that case, but just was well go to a sub page just as well and make the info easier to track. A PDF (as you are trying to get) could be made of the entire system for those that want it all in one bit. Bill

  • HTML Content not displayed correctly in UWL

    Hi all,
    I have setup UWL to connect to SRM 5.0 system. I have no problem retrieving alerts from the backend. However, alerts with HTML content are not displayed correctly in the UWL. Instead of parsing the HTML content, the html tags are displayed instead.
    Am I missing some configurations here?
    Thanks in advance.
