  • Struts bean/html tag problem

    i am writing this url_element on screen
    <bean:write name="url_element"/>
    then i got a link
    <html:link action="urlDetail.do?url=???">aaa</html:link>
    how can i transfer the url_element into ??? do i need to write something like <%...%>?

    just found the solution:
    You can't use a <bean:write> tag inside an <html:link> tag. Struts doesn't support it.
    The easiest way to fix this is to abandon use of <html:link> and just use the plain old html tags <a></a>. Then you will have no problem substituting parameters with <bean:write> tags.
    The only advantage <html:link> has over the plain html tag is that it automatically does URL rewriting (Adding of the jsessionid to the URL so that sessions may be tracked even if the user has turned cookies off). If you're not using this function anyway, as most modern websites don't, you may as well use the html tag.
    If you still want to use <html:link>, use the struts-el version of the html tags and use EL expressions instead of <bean:write> tags.

  • HTML Tag Problem OnInputProcessing

    Hi!
    Hope anybody can help.
    I have a MVC application. In our views, we can´t use HTMLB controlls. So we must use standard HTML controlls.
    With ?onInputProcessing it is possible to come in the on_handle_event Method in my controller class.
    The HTML statement in the view works fine :
    <a href="?onInputProcessing(NAVIGATION_MAIN_FUNCTIONS|BACK)">
    But in the select HTML Tag the statement doesn´t work.
        <select onchang e="?onInputProcessing(NAVIGATION_MAIN_FUNCTIONS|BACK)">
        <option>1</option>
        <option>2</option>
        <option>3</option>
        <option>4</option>
        <option>5</option>
        <option>6</option>
        </select>
    What`s wrong in the select tag??
    Regards,

    Try below code, it will solve the issue
    < script t-ype="text/javascript">
    function triggerevent(event)
         document.getElementById("OnInputProcessing").value = event;
         document.getElementById("MYFORM").submit();  " Change the Form name here
    < / script >
        <select onchang e = "triggerevent_contact_dd('Your_event_name_here')">

    I am not able to figure this out. Can someone help?For HTML output you need to send it using the <tt>p_body_html</tt> parameter, not <tt>p_body</tt>.
    PLEASE NOTE: I have intentionally removed the starting tags (&lt;) of ul and li so that the post will not be formatted.Posting code wrapped in <tt>\...\</tt> tags eliminates the need to resort to these bizarre circumlocutions.

    I don't know about that, but I am using MyFaces and tomahawk with WLS8.1 sp5 jdk1.4.2_05 and it works fine.
    I do remember getting such an error when I moved from Sun RI to MyFaces and all I can recall is that it was a commons library mismatch problem or some classpath problem...

  • HTML tag problem when adding Google rich snippets in templates?

    The new Google plus Rich Snippets allow us to add a schema tag like this example:
    <html itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Article">
    I can do this on my .html pages but as soon as I make any changes to the .dwt template for the page it reverts all of the tags back to <html>
    How do I stop this happening?
    I have tried:
    Changing preferences in Dreamweaver's default code rewrite settings to "'Never Rewrite Code' for HTML document type " but this does not appear to fix things.
    Very frustrating as I have lost days of work.
    Any help would be appreciated
    many thanks
    Craig

    I've done what you have said (I think) however something is not quite right. I am asssuming that I need to add the schema below the <BODY> tag if I make the changes to the template as you have suggested.
    This is my practice page which is in a template:
    http://www.psychics.co.uk/lovepsychic/index.html
    Following the Adobe instruction on the forum: High at the top of the header section we get this code:
    <!-- InstanceParam name="GRS" type="text" value="itemscope itemtype=&quot;http://schema.org/Product"" -->
    For the customised body tag we get this:
    <body itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Product">
    Then on the left column of the page and below the navigation and below the <body> I have added this:
    <!-- Start Google snippet -->
    <h1 itemprop="name" content="Love Psychics Readings">Love Psychics - Psychic Love Predictions Online</h1>
    <img itemprop="image" content="http://www.psychics.co.uk/images/schema/love.jpg" src="/images/stars.gif" width="160" height="76" alt="Psychics and Mediums Network"></img>
    <p itemprop="description" content="Getting a reading with love psychics to find out about relationships, love, romance, marriage and family. Article about our Love psychics readings onlineservices.">Copyright Psychics &amp; Mediums Network - QKE Ltd.</p>
      <!-- End Google snippet -->
    I must be getting close but it just shows the normal Google plus stuff.
    I need to get your microdata markup into the body of the document somewhere - otherwise Google will use the something like <title> and <meta description>  tags and guess at an image.
    Any idea where I am going wrong or is it a quirk in Dreamweaver?

  • HTML Tags escape while exporting to PDF

    Hi friends,
    I have two columns in my BI report like
    Business Group(BG) and OU
    Since in the BG column under the edit formula i used the html tags to show each and every BG column value in bold like below
    '<b>' || "D1.Company"."Business Group Full Name" || '</b>'
    Now the report is appearing fine in answers and dashboard but when i export the same report to PDF i can see the html tags in each and every name of the BG group.
    Is there anything to be done to escape these html tags in PDF while exporting.
    And also if we give the tooltip for the numeric columns like below under the column properties-->Data format-->Custom like
    [html]<p title=\""Employee Count" \">#
    And after that if i tried to escape the same report with the tooltip on the numeric column to pdf means, the number values are missing for the entire column in the PDF, but this case is not appearing while exporting the report to pdf if i set the tooltip to the text column, as the values is missing only for the tooltip of the numeric column. What could be the fix for this problem.
    Thanks
    Regards,
    Saro

    Hi svee,
    Thanks for the reply.
    For an example i tried with the bold option in the edit formula inorder to portray the html tags problem while exporting it to the pdf inspite of using the default bold option within the column properites like u said.
    Suppose if i used html tags like
    <br>, </br>
    in the edit formula section or if i used any other html tags which is not present as a default option in bi like bold. At that time while exporting the report to pdf i can face the issue.
    And also i need ur suggestion regarding with the values disappearing for the numeric column if a tooltip is used in it while exporting it to the pdf.

    We are migrating a report to 10Gr2 (10.1.2.0.2) from reports 9i (9.0.2.03); This report has to route to a different web page. For this we have a formula column with meta tag call to refresh;its Contains HTM property set to Yes. But when run, the view source of HTML shows as if the tag is truncated and put in <tt> tag around it.

  • HTML tags not displayed when using Data Template

    Hi All...
    I'm developing a BI Publisher report in which one of the columns is a clob data type. I'm using an xsl stylesheet to format the data present in the clob column.
    I've developed the report using data template as the data set. The problem is the clob column which has the HTML tags where not displayed properly...for example

    I came to know that data template cannot generate proper HTML tags for release 10.1.3.2. Is there any work around way to get the proper HTML tags when data template is used as a data set?

    Issue could be with the data that is selected in the other environment. It generally happens that the ALV will not give the same results as in the DEV in the other systems.
    Possible errors could be the control break statements in the loop...endloop block. validate the correctness of the control break stmts if any.

    Thank you for your answer.
    Where is the DW validation for me?
    My files are in my computer so I don’t have an external URL.
    File > validation > as xml = closes DW... Maybe because it is not a correct command for HTML,
    And
    Window > results > validation = gives a partial mistakes (e.g. shows an open tag without closing tag, but doesn’t show a closing tag without an open tag).
    Thank you.

  • Problem removing html tags from the text retrived

    Hi there,
    I am using jdbc to connect the database and retriving the data. In one of the columns along with the description there are some html tags in few of the recors of that column. is there a way to retrive the text only ignoring the html tags in between. Or can i retrive and then strip off the html code in the text to display only normal text.
    example of the data retrived which are pipe seperated and one of the columns has html tags in it:

    <LI>The most complete collection of folk and folk-rock songs ever put together -- 132 classics!
    <LI>Original hits by the original artists!
    Now i need to remove the tags before displaying this on the output. Is there a simple way to do this.
    Thanks...

    Did you read the documentation of the trim() method,
    where it describes which whitespace it removes?I believe his problem is that
    "Some text here
    <blah>
    More text"becomes
    "Some text here
    More text"... and he wants ...
    "Some text here
    More text"So, your problem is that your regex isn't matching whitespace as well.
    See the "Trimming Whitespace" section:

  • Storing HTML TAG content in StringBuffer Problem..

    respected sir...
    currently i am working with one project in that i want to put whole table content in StringBuffer that goes for image creation .....and finally image is created for whole table
    how can i put the HTML tags in imageBuffer.... i have tried with this...
    StringBuffer ImageContent=new StringBuffer();
    ImageContent.append(out.print("<table>"));
    ImageContent.append(out.print("</table>"));
    ImageContent.append(out.print("<tr>"));
    ImageContent.append(out.print("</tr>"));
    but not working is there any way to build table using StringBuffer that has whole Table Content With Data....
    thanks in advance......regards.....

    Hi.
    Some remarks (no offence though...):
    1) StringBuffer is synchronized. In case your object instance will not be used by other threads concurrently, you should use StringBuilder class instead (which offers the same methods)
    2) when posting code samples, formatting them as code makes them easier for others to read
    3) variable names are written with a lower case first letter by convention
    4) shouldn't the "tr"s be between the opening and the closing "table"-tags?
    5) it would be helpful to have an indication on what type "out" is and why you are using it...
    For your problem: why do you pass your Strings to "out.print()"? StringBuffer directly takes Strings as arguments (among others).
    Without having tried your sample, I would suggest you try somthing like the following:
    StringBuffer imageContent=new StringBuffer();
    imageContent.append("<table>");
    imageContent.append("<tr>");
    imageContent.append("</tr>");
    imageContent.append("</table>");Bye.
