Html tags not parsing in spry dataset

Hello you all,
I have a liitle master detail page setup which works perfectly except that the data that is pulled from a database and parsed by a spry dataset is not parsing the html tags. I am seeing things like <p></p><br/> etc. on the page. Can any one help with this.

Set the columtype to HTML on the affecting row:

Slimbox not working with Spry Dataset

Hi there,
I'm trying to populate a page with Spry Dataset and use Slimbox2 to show a set of 4 images when a thumbnail is clicked.
The original webpage WITHOUT Spry Dataset is here:

Currently it works with just slimbox, but as soon as I add a Spry Dataset, the large images won't load anymore. When a thumbnail is clicked on, it opens the 1st large image of the set in a new page, completely removing the lightbox effect.
I've scouted the internet for solutions; it's been suggested that slimbox doesn't work because spry doesn't have time to load the content first. But I'm not savvy with javascript at all, so have no idea how to work around it....
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You are not re-initializing the lightbox library code after Spry have generated the markup.
You can use the Spry region observer onPostUpdate to get notified of region re-generation and recall the initialization code of the lightbox.

Html tag in XML and spry

Hi,
I have HTML-element in XML doc, but i do not know how to get it out as HTML-element in PHP or in HTML.
I have this kind of XML tag
<logo><![CDATA[><a href="http://www.someadress.com"><img src="images/logos/companylogo.jpg" alt="Some Company"/></a>]]></logo>
I use it in PHP page like this: <td>{logo}</td>
I get it output in Browser as a String <a href="http://www.someadress.com"><img src="images/logos/companylogo.jpg" alt="Some Company"/></a>.. However I need it print out as an HTML-element not just a string
Anybody knows how to solve this?

Define HTML Tag for Parser - Help?

Hi all,
I'm trying to write a program which downloads a HTML script, parses it, extracts the links and checks to see which of these links are broken. While the parser is picking up tags that are well-formed, such as:

The snippet of code I'm using to try and get these malformed tags is as follows:

Remove HTML Tags and parse the text out of it

Hi All -
I had a text file with all the HTML Tags on it. I want to parse text out of it. Is there any package available to remove all the HTML Tags from the text.
For example
<HTML><BODY bgColor=#ffffff> This is the text i want to parse.</BODY></HTML>
The result would be: This is the text I want to parse.
The text can be very long and can have many different HTML Tags. I cannot use REPLACE becuase tags can me lot more then I thought.

If I have :TEMPORARY_APPLICATION_ITEM as 'Vikas' it gets displayed properly but if I have '<b>Vikas<b>' it shows null. if it has any HTML tags function l_Opt_Xml.firstChild.nodeValue is not working properly .Please tell me what modiifcation can I use in function l_Opt_Xml.firstChild.nodeValue to get Values with HTML tags also to get displayed.

HTML Tags not moved in PDF

Hello,
I would like to print a report as a PDF and use the BI Publisher.
This functions so far also quite well, only I have the problem
I pass a HTML formatted text from a field CLob
and with the PDF output the HTML tags are not moved.
In the PDF document the HTML tags stands instead of a formatted heading,
e.g.
<*h1> This is the heading <*/h1> (without stars)
What I must set / make with it I also a formatted one
Heading agrees?
Somebody an idea?

True - a PDF isn't going to support HTML encoding. HTML will just be seen as more text, and displayed that way.
You can strip out HTML tags fairly easily with a regular expression in your query SQL - this simply looks for text between < and > characters, and removes it. That should work for basic HTML formatting tags, but it isn't 100% (it won't handle <script> blocks correctly, for instance).
select regexp_replace(myHTML, '<[^>]*>', '') as myText
from myTable... Implementing a method to convert the HTML formatting into RTF formatting is also possible, but not a trivial task - you'd effectively have to replace each HTML tag with an RTF equivalent -- eg, replace <H1> with the RTF code to make a larger font, replace </H1> with RTF code to return the font to normal... etc...

HTML tags not displayed when using Data Template

Hi All...
I'm developing a BI Publisher report in which one of the columns is a clob data type. I'm using an xsl stylesheet to format the data present in the clob column.
I've developed the report using data template as the data set. The problem is the clob column which has the HTML tags where not displayed properly...for example
the tag starting with
<
is replaced with
& lt;
I did a couple of searches in this forum and in tim's blog but couldn't find a proper solution...

I came to know that data template cannot generate proper HTML tags for release 10.1.3.2. Is there any work around way to get the proper HTML tags when data template is used as a data set?

Issue could be with the data that is selected in the other environment. It generally happens that the ALV will not give the same results as in the DEV in the other systems.
Possible errors could be the control break statements in the loop...endloop block. validate the correctness of the control break stmts if any.

HTML TAG ISSUES WHEN LOADING SPRY

hello. i'm having some issues when loading spry pages, the
<a href> tags within the fragments of html pages that i'm
loading with spry are deactivating themselves

the artist pages when adding more html text the back buttons
created stop working. all the pages work when loaded by itself but
not as spry fragments.

The links aren't deactivated, what's happening is that your
nav bar at the bottom (apDiv2) is absolutely positioned. When you
load the zine page, the container you load it into is stretching to
accomodate the zine content, and goes *underneath* your nav bar.
Now when you click on what looks like a link, your nav bar is
actually intercepting the click event.
You can see what I mean by giving your nav bar a background
color.

HELP - why is form bean tag not parsing?

In my struts-config.xml file, I have the tag:

I have a form, called PoolListForm.
However, when I start weblogic, I get an error with the form bean (error goes away if I delete the form bean tag from struts-config.xml file. (error log is below).

Remove HTML tags from a text area

Hi, here is my problem:
I have a form with a text area item; this item is “Display as Editor HTML standard”. So it is possible to enter formatted text with tags HTML. Then I save the text in a table. In the column the text maintain the HTML tags. Afterwards I can put the text in a report, and I can see the formatted text with the tags HTML interpreted.
But I need also to use that text for other aims, (i.e. sending it in a mail) with the html tags removed.
Is there any way to remove HTML tags from a text item?

Yes - declare a variabel to contain the desired value. Then
output into both
the title and h1 tags.

then later on...

Textarea escapes html tags

I am using a textarea to display text information. The text information contains HTML tags such as < B> and < font> etc. The textarea however displays the tags as text and does not translate them into HTML formatting!! how can we use a text area to display the HTML formatting?? (ie want the functionality of the textarea with editor but with out the editor toolbars)
is this possible??

Is there anyway of formatting a Display as Text item type so that you can fix the width and height and have a scrollbar. (Ie is there anyway of making the displayas Text item type look like a textarea??)
we want to have the item displaying the text a fixed size as it is based on a clob and we want the user to be able to scroll up and down to view all of the text. We are using ctx_doc.markup to highlight search criteria so require the ability to show HTML to display the highlighted text; hence the original problem of HTML tags not being translated into commands but displayed as normal text
