Hi Amit,
If you want to make your HTML Page as iView then after creating the HTML page place it in the KM(KM Content-Here you can even your own folder also).
Select the Folder context menu ->New ->Upload ->select your HTMl file -> Upload->Done.
Now create KM Document IView. After creating the iView give the Property
<b>path</b> of your HTML document.
For example:
/documents/welcome.html

Image not displaying properly for SAP GUI for HTML transaction iview

Hi,
We have a sap gui for HTML iview for transaction REORRR in portal. After giving enough inputs this leads to Business Document Navigator screen(part of Document management) where i need to display a document(.jpg image in this scenario). When i double click on the image it is opening on the right side of the screen but in a compressed format where in we need to scroll down to see the image. But i would require the image to display with out scroll bar or in a new window.
When i change the format of the iview as SAP GUI for Windows the image is opening in a new window.
I would like to know whether there is any configaration settings either in portal or in Document management side. or is this any limitation of the SAP GUI for HTML scenario.

You can open this iview in a new window make the setting in the iview properties that will allow the iview to be opend in a new window.

Using .xsl in javascript for portal .html (document iview)

Hi,
I prepared .html document has javascript code in it.
Javascript code uses activex object to process .xsl for xml operation.
I used html document in document iview but problem occured.
I think activex object cause the problem or i gave wrong address for xsl document.
If i place xsl document in same folder with html document, how can it be addressed (xsl path)?
Is there sample html document using javascript code that uses xsl and activex object in it?
And is it tested as document iview with no problem?

I just completed designing a website for my restaurant using Dreamweaver 8. I included my menu as part of the website and now wanted to print it for customer use in the restaurant. The document is in html format.
You can only print your source code from Dreamweaver. I don't have DW8 installed anymore, but i think it's: File > Print (or Print Code).
If you want to print how it looks with the HTML rendered, then print it from a browser.

You can create a JSP dynpage in portal application object, Which along with it creates JSP and dynpage. You can copy the html page and have it in JSP page. To make it display, include a statement in JSP dynpage as

Also you can use URL iview for displaying the same. just give the URL link in the iview which is created from the template available in the portal

How can I create an iView without visual components in VC

Hello:
I'm trying to create an iView with on ly a call to a data service inside: start point, call, end pont. But VC it's giving me errors when I compile it.
If I add a visual component to the iView: form, table, html. Iview compiles and works OK.
theer is any wat ti create non visual iViews in VC?.

I'm getting an error when I'm deploting the iView. That error is only when I deploy as Flex.
If I deploye as Webdynpro or Flex2, there are no deployments errors.
The error text is not ver specific it says that I need to check the flex log.
Do you know wher I can chech that deployment flex log?. I'm not sure if I'm checking the correct log.

ESS Bus. Pkg EP 6.0 SP19 to R/3 4.7 ext.2 - IAC iView Problem

Given the above components, I've deployed the ESS business package to the Portal. All components deployed successfully... no errors. I'm creating a new Role (custom, not from BP) and I'd like to use one of the iViews from the Business package in this role. I'm using the "Enrollments" iView which seems to be an IAC iView calling PZ14.
Now the problem... when I access this iView via the Portal, ITS is called and the iView loads but only shows me the Easy Access Menu (SMEN). PZ14 never loads. I can enter PZ14 in the transaction field and it will load but it doesn't come up on its own. I also created a SAP GUI for HTML transaction iView to test PZ14 and that one works fine. To meet the customer's requirements though it must look "pretty" ... like the IAC iView does.
The only thing I changed on the iView was the system alias. Changed it from SAP_R3_HumanResources to SAP_R3 (this is the proper name of the system I'm using to test).
Any ideas?

This has been resolved. Oddly enough, I inadvertantly added /webgui/! to the end of the ITS Path definition in the system object. This was causing the afore mentioned behavior. Once removed, the iView behaved as expected.

Support the URL is http://<server>:<port/jniindex12/Test.html
The iView is ready to use but I see some strange behaviour here......
While creating the URL iView, when I fill in the URL field with the above URL string and click on Browse, I get a 503 error but when I preview the iView, it works.
Why this strange behaviour...?
Also when I run the above URL directly from browser, it runs.
So any idea as to why the error when I click on Browse.

How to show an iview based on browser or portal language

Is it possible to make an iview, page or workset visible for the user depending on the language he has logged on with? If he logs on with English an HTML document iview should be displayed, but if he logs on with the French language another iview should be showned and the English one should not be visible.
Any ideas how this could be done?

Calling SAP GUI for HTML

Dear Gurus!
we are facing a peculiar issue. I have created 2 'GUI for HTML' transaction iviews one connecting to 'copy of dev ': ECC:system number x, and the other connecting to 'copy of quality': ECC, System number y.
Both these ECC systems have same hostname but different system numbers and different system ID's ofcourse.
When I create GUI for Windows Transaction iview, correct system is opened say transaction 'SMEN'. However when I create GUI for HTML, the Dev ECC system is called nevertheless in both the iviews.
the behavior is the same even if I test with direct transaction using System Administrator--> support link.
We are on 7.4 portal with backend ECC 6.

Yes the system objects are fine. there is just one similar entry for both ie the hostname, other wise everything is diff like system num, sys Id, gateway host etc.
I am still perplexed why on testing, 'GUI HTML' goes to dev only in both cases, while "GUI windows", works fine and goes respectively to dev and qa.

i am getting an error namely ITS_CANNOT_LOAD_INCLUDE when i am trying to call the SAP Transaction iView as an HTML Version iView.
can anyone plz help me on this.

From what I see, look up one line:

My requirement is to Display a Custom Report in Portal. This Report is developed in Abap. Since I am new to this portal thing I can think of only 1 idea to display these reports in Portal by creating transactional iViews . But In HTML transactional iViews I noticed that everytime I scroll through the Report the page is getting refreshed. I am worried about the performance of the portal since I have to display around 5-10 HR Reports in Portal. Also I am not able to hide the System Details that appear at the bottom of the SAP Screen.
Please help me out how can I hide those details. Also I need to provide Print Option for these reports. How can I acheive that ?

Server Side Caching of pdf files

Hi all,
I've run into a rather odd problem that I can't find a way around. I've created some URL iViews to display some html files and some pdf files. I've adjusted the Load parameters for these iviews to the following:
Allow Client-Side caching: Yes
Cache Level: Shared
Cache Validity Period: 12 hrs
Fetch Mode: Server-Side
I've found that the html URL iViews work fine like this, but the pdf URL iViews do not. The pdf ones seem to just hang.
I've noticed that if I change the Fetch Mode to client-side for the pdf files, the iview then begins to work. However, I don't believe that this is the way that I want to configure my URL iviews. I believe that I want them all to be server-side cached.
I've followed the instructions on 'setting up system properties for proxy server' (System Administration -> System Configuration -> Service Configuration -> Applications -> com.sap.portal.ivs.httpservice -> Services -> Proxy). After making these configuration changes, I've stopped/restarted portal services. The problem still occurs.
Does anyone have any idea as to what may be causing this problem and how do I fix it?

I have the same problem. When I tried open a pdf file with fecth = server-side, I waitting for 500 seconds... But if I tried open with Fetcf = clien-side I only wait 2 seconds.

Help with VC Model Timing

Hi, I have a model that presents an HTML View or an Error Dialog. The HTML View should appear if an URL is returned from the Web Service. If no URL is returned then the Error Dialog should appear instead.
     The problem is that when a valid URL is returned from the Web Service the error dialog appears for just a second before the HTML View is presented . I think it has to do with timing of the the link between layers and the returning values from the web service.
     I have a guard condition and a display condition on the HTML View of NOT ISNULL(@url). The error dialog (form) has a display condition of ISNULL(@url).
I've included a link to the Story Board Layout. Can someone tell me what I would have to do to prevent the Error Dialog from appearing just before the HTML View?

Not sure if I understood your question correctly, maybe if you could explain your requirement we could address what would be the best way to implement.
As far as your model goes, why do you need a condition on the submit event from layer 1 to layer 2? you definitely need an event frm layer 1 to layer 2. This is requried to navigate from the iView in layer 1 to layer 2. Try removing the submit transition line from layer 1 to 2 and see what happens..

File associations within ITS / WAS ... jpg, gif, etc.

Hello ... I'm finding is that when you click on a jpg attachment in the portal, it does NOT use the local windows file associations to determine what program to open the file with. However, once you select a program to open the file, the portal will continue to use that program, regardless of what the Windows defaults are. In this case I'm using a SAP GUI for HTML transaction Iview (QA33) in NW 2007s SP12 and IE 6.0. Although this is SAP GUI for HTML, it does fire off a Java applet when I display attachments (using classes Download.class and Execute.class among others). Where is this file association information stored? In the portal? Browser? JVM? Java stack? I know it is a client specific setting somewhere because different programs launch on different workstations. I'd like to be able to modify and/or set defaults for this association ... any help greatly appreciated!!
