HTML5 development in Eclipse

Hi all,
I'm developing HCP HTML5 applications based on UI5.
While the RDE looks really great, I'd still like to use the good old Eclipse to launch my project locally.
To do so, I've created an HTML5 application from the cockpit, generated a sample UI5 project from RDE and pushed all sources to Git repo.
I tested the applications and it works perfectly when executed from RDE.
In addition, I've cloned the Git repo in Eclipse and now I'd like to run my application from there, as you might do when creating an Eclipse UI5 project.
However I'm not sure how to do that. I've added the SAPUI5 facet to the local Eclipse project and tried to launch
<project> -> run as -> Web App Preview
However a browser error page shows up with an odd url and HTTP400 message.
I'd be grateful if anyone could explain how/whether this could be achieved.

I have no experience of HCP server,as far as I know,there are two ways to develop UI5 application:Local Eclipse or Online RDE.If you are developing apps in Eclipse, you must assure that the UI5 develop add-on(UI Development Toolkit for HTML5 ) is installed correctly so that you can take use of the local UI5 core library resource,the following link may help you:Download Evaluation Package for UI Development Toolkit for HTML5 ;If you are using RDE, please refer to http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-55466 .

SAP Cloud SDK : Cloud For Customer HTML5 Development

Hi Experts,
I have Some questions about the Upgrade to Silverlight -> HTML5.
1) When the Cloud For Customer release the C4C in HTML5 mode with all the available work-center "Application and User Management" and all ?
2) What is the Development software/environment to create custom business objects or enhance the standard business objects using "SAP Cloud Application Studio 14XX" or "Eclipse" software?
3) After Upgrade the C4C into HTML5 what is the language use in development environment?

Hello Mithun,
1) You can use the work center "Administration" which takes the role of the "Application and User Management" with a hopeful better representation of the business user needs.#
2) At the moment there are no plans to replace the "SAP Cloud Applications Studio" by something else.
3) As long as there are no migration plans, there are also no plans for a "new" langauge

Flex 3 and Java - Integrated Development on Eclipse

I am new to flex as well as to eclipse. I have downloaded
Adobe Flex Builder 3.0 and installed it. I want to use java at the
back-end, but I don't have Java perspective option in eclipse.
Therefore, I am currently using 2 IDE(s), one is
flex-builder, and other is Eclipse for Web tool platform
(eclipse-jee-europa-winter-win32.zip).
Is there anyway that I can benefit integrated development of
Flex and java using same IDE?

I wouldn't try it really... it's not worth the issues you'd
probably run into and the work of getting it setup, if it's even
possible. I just run Eclipse and FB separate. If you have a gig of
ram you should be fine doing this I think.
If you *really* want to get rid of one, you can use the Flex
plugin for Eclipse, but I've heard people complain about it not
playing nice with Java.

Don't know if you can trust Barry on this issue as he's part of the sqldev development team ;)
But anyway, everyone has different visions on what an editor should be. You should try them both yourself to know which one suits you.

There is no online connection between Eclipse and SAP. I myself would never like to program without forward navigation:
- no pattern for function module calls
- no interface description after double-click
- no dictionary view after double-click on tables
- no extended syntax checks
Of course it's even possible, to use notepad as editor for programs - but without strong links to SAP I don't see the benefits.
When you read ( /people/thomas.jung3/blog/2005/08/09/speak-your-voice-new-abap-editor-for-older-releases ) a little about the estimate effort / problems in back-porting the new abap editor to older releases (like 640, sic!), then Eclipse will be a long time not an option.

Quesiton about jme development with eclipse

I am using eclipse for jme development with sun's wirless toolkit 2.5 .
the jad file MIDP version field is MIDP 2.1 due to which i am unable to install this file on Nokia phone (E70). I unable to find how to solve this problem .
I can install the demo applications from sun on this phone.
Can someone tell how I can change this or some other way to solve this problem.

And if you would've bothered to read his question for 10 seconds then you would've found out that that wasn't what he was asking. Well now, as for an answer;
Eclipse indeed automatically sets J2ME applications to MIDP 2.1 because this is what the J2ME emulator is emulating. 'Tis a nasty habit. It's possible to set your J2ME jad file to MIDP 2.0, but I don't know if this requires plugins of sorts. If it does, then I assume we'll hear soon enough.. ;)
In Eclipse, go to your project in the Package Explorer and open the drop down menu. Now double click on he Jad file belonging to your project. (It should be at the bottom of that specific project in the Package Explorer.) In the new window (that opens in the Editor screen) set the Microedition profile to MIDP 2.0 instead of 2.1. That should basically be it!
In this same JAD edit window you can also set other things (such as a icon logo for your application, it's name and its main class that should be run when opening the package). Very neat for customizing your stuff.. ;)

How to publish an application developed under eclipse in Web-to-go

I developed a program under surround eclipse. as my wtgpack does not function I am obliged of create a .jar gravel bank and script SQL how then if it is possible I can publish it under Web-to-go

Step 1. You can use free hosting Oracle Apex on http://apex.oracle.com (first you have to register)
Step 2. You have to export database objects from development environment and import to apex.oracle.com.
Step 3. You have to export Application from development environment and import to apex.oracle.com. (if you created app with Supported object option, you don't need step 2)
If you talking about non APEX application you have to install Oracle on server with Public IP and import logical backup there (use exp and imp tools)

Developing an Eclipse RCP Plugin Project with CE and NWDI

Hallo,
I want to know what's the best way to create an Eclipse RCP application and have the sources managed by the NWDI.
My problem is that development components within a software component can only be plain java projects and not plugin projects. Now I can convert a plugin project to a development component but when I try to build this dc it fails because the needed libraries for this origin plugin project (Plug-In Dependencies) are not available because is it now just a plain java project.
However I could create another dc with the needed libraries and add this dc as a required dc but then it is not the same as a standard plugin project and I don't know if that could create problems then.
In case anybody knows how to solve this problems, please give me a hint.

I fixed the java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError problem in the Eclipse 3.1 Plug-in: in the Run > Environment, set the CLASSPATH variable to the directory containing the target program's package hierarchy. Now the Trace program runs ok when invoked from the plug-in.
However, when I repeated the same configuration in Eclipse 3.0.2, I got the following runtime error.
Unhandled event loop exception
Reason:
com/sun/jdi/connect/VMStartException
Isn't Eclipse 3.0.2 supposed to behave in the same way? Any help will be much appreciated!

Oracle OSB - Tutorial for development using Eclipse Plugin

1. I need a tutorial to develop a simple application using file adapter. For example it was very easier in Oracle ESB 10.3 version where I can drag and drop adapters and configure. What should I do if I have to create similar adapters in OSB. Can you provide documentation. For Oracle ESB(old version) there was ESB Quick Start guide and it was very useful. Do we have some thing similar for OSB?
2. Most of the tutorials that are in Oracle website points to using JDeveloper. When I download the JDeveloper I no longer get those option. When I browsed I found that we should use Eclipse Plugin for OSB development. Is it true.

Oracle service bus installer comes with a eclipse plugin which can be used to develope OSB applications using Eclipse. Refer installation guide to know more.

Adobe Livecycle Developer Toolbox - Eclipse Integration

Heyo,
I was hoping to find a forum Adobe LiveCycle Developer Toolbox or Sandbox, if this is the wrong forum for my question let me know.
I need to deploy some code to a server running LiveCycle. I've downloaded and installed the Developer Toolbox but Eclipse doesn't want to accept the version of JBOSS destributed with it as a valid server.
Eclipse - Add Server - JBOSS (only options are 3.2.3 and 4.0) 3.2.3
Missing classpath entry C:\Adobe\LiveCycle\jboss\server\default\lib\javax.servlet.jar
Any tips on getting eclipse and this jboss talking?

Can you check if Adobelifecycle designer's dll has been installed
properly in the system, . You should be able to see it installed in
programs menu of windows.
Can you try to call LiveCycle Designer standalone?
C:\program files\Adobe\Designer X.X\FormDesigner.exe
Just double click this exe file.
When it is started, it should be registered again (if it is not yet
done).

HTML5 development using FP CC(2014) vs CS6 FP

If my understanding is right, createJS is what dose all the conversion from flash to html5 apart from html5 canvas support which is provided in flash professional cc(2014). we can download the latest createJS and use with CS6 version of flash professional and create HTML5 application. If you want my question clearly here is it, Can we develop basic HTML5 application and conversion of flash app to HTML5 using CS6 flash professional along with createJS Toolkit. Thanks in advance

Basically, if you want to write Javascript in the Flash IDE for an HTML 5 Canvas document, you need to use Flash CC.
If you just want to use a Flash document as a starting point and export it out so you can add all your own code to the Flash objects on the stage some other way, then yes, you can get by with CS6 and CreateJS.
