HTTP 404 with softlink to custom top.

Has custom_tops LIKE $XXXIBE_TOP
-> echo $xxxIBE_TOP
/apps/cxldbt1/applmgr/apps/apps_st/appl/xxxibe/12.0.0
And here we keep the custom HTM files which are referred during APPS navigation.. Example is like below
cxlwebtst01 @ (/apps/cxldbt1/applmgr/apps/apps_st/appl/xxxibe/12.0.0/html)
-> ls -ltr *htm
-rwxr-xr-x 2 appcxlt1 cxloaa 29571 Jun 9 15:27 xxx_ibePrivacyPolicy_JP.htm
-rwxr-xr-x 2 appcxlt1 cxloaa 77551 Jun 9 15:27 xxx_ibePrivacyPolicy_KR.htm
-rwxr-xr-x 2 appcxlt1 cxloaa 22813 Jun 9 15:29 xxx_ibePrivacyPolicy_ZHS.htm
-rwxr-xr-x 2 appcxlt1 cxloaa 485940 Jun 10 13:27 xxx_ibeTermOfUseKO.htm
-rwxr-xr-x 2 appcxlt1 cxloaa 126583 Jun 10 13:41 xxx_ibeTermOfUseJA.htm
-rwxr-xr-x 2 appcxlt1 cxloaa 34421 Jun 10 13:46 xxx_ibeTermOfUse.htm
-rwxr-xr-x 2 appcxlt1 cxloaa 36241 Jun 10 14:03 xxx_ibePrivacyPolicyJA.htm
-rwxr-xr-x 2 appcxlt1 cxloaa 77683 Jun 10 14:04 xxx_ibePrivacyPolicyKO.htm
-rwxr-xr-x 2 appcxlt1 cxloaa 12441 Jun 10 14:05 xxx_ibePrivacyPolicy.htm
-rwxr-xr-x 2 appcxlt1 cxloaa 21508 Jun 10 14:05 xxx_ibePrivacyPolicyZHS.htm
-rwxr-xr-x 2 appcxlt1 cxloaa 104742 Jun 23 17:19 xxx_ibeTermOfUseZHS.htm
Now plans to create a softlink from OA_HTML
cxlwebtst01 @ (/apps/cxldbt1/applmgr/apps/apps_st/comn/webapps/oacore/html)
-> echo $OA_HTML
/apps/cxldbt1/applmgr/apps/apps_st/comn/webapps/oacore/html
to the HTM FILES in $xxxIBE_TOP/html/xxx_ibeTermOfUse.htm (for example)
Now in application when the url is like
https://cxltest.xxx.com/OA_HTML/xxx_ibeTermOfUse.htm  we are getting HTTP 404 errors..
Instead of softlink, if we keep the physical files in $OA_HTML it works(workaround) and displays the HTM page correctly.
Does any one encounter this with R12 custom tops ? any suggestions towards resolution is appreciated.

Here is the post:
To see the error log as you see in Apache, logon as SYSTEM via SQL*Plus and execute:
SQL> execute dbms_epg.set_global_attribute('log-level', 3)
The error log will go to the database trace file app/oracle/admin/XE/bdump/xe_s00?_????.trc. Please ignore the bogus error message "Embedded PL/SQL Gateway: Unknown attribute 3" in the error log.
BTW, here are the log levels:
0 - LOG_EMERG
1 - LOG_ALERT
2 - LOG_CRIT
3 - LOG_ERR
4 - LOG_WARNING
5 - LOG_NOTICE

  • Redirect HTTP 404, 401 errors to custom html pages ?

    Does anyone know how to set up Weblogic 6.1 to TRAP and REDIRECT http 404, 401 etc error messages to custom predefined friendly html pages on the server ?? Here, WL takes http requests directly and outputs the results directly back to the browsers (not going through a proxy server like IPlanet or other web servers).
    So how do I trap HTTP error messages in WL and redirects them to my own custom error pages ??
    Help!

    Hi Aswin,
    Vintela libraries changed in SP3. Usually a 404 error means:
    - Typo in any of the xml tags (you can check opening it in IE)
    - Typo in the SPN (cannot be found). However, you mention seeing in stdout.log "credentials obtained" so it looks that's fine
    - If you are using keytab, comment those lines in web.xml and use the password in Tomcat > Java
    If nothing mentioned above solve the issue, I will suggest you to enable debug in Tomcat and post here the stdout.log

  • HTTP 404 Error on submit

    I am generating an APEX application page 'region' as a PL/SQL anonymous block using the
    htp.p function. The PL/SQL htp.p dynamically creates radio groups, text links, and buttons from
    database data. It appears that if the generated page is too big (too many items) when one of
    the buttons is pressed to submit the page and refresh it with different data the following error
    is generated:
    'The webpage cannot be found HTTP 404'
    with browser URL: http://sys3:7777/pls/Apex/wwv_flow.accept
    The button executes a javascript function which calls: document.wwv_flow.submit();
    If I remove one radio group item - everything works fine.
    Oracle DB 10g
    Application Express 3.2.0.00.27
    Does anyone have any ideas about this problem?
    Is there a page size limit, or item limit when using htp.p?
    Thanks for any help you can give me.

    Hi,
    have a look at the following blog posting http://www.inside-oracle-apex.com/oracle-apex-got-404-not-found-2/ to get instructions how to get the cause of the 404 error. I think that will help you to solve your problem.

  • Problem with WCF-Custom adapter (WS HTTP Binding with reliable messaaging) - Error event logged, even though transaction completed Sucessfully

    Hi All
    I am using WCF-Custom (WS HTTP Binding) with Message security as Windows and using Reliable messaging in the send port. Its a static Port.
    Every thing works fine as expected for the interface. ie the transaction is success. After a min of the transaction completion. I am getting the following error
    01. I have not checked Propagate Fault message (as a solution provided in another blog)
    02. Its a static Port
    03. I am using reliable messaging
    The below error events are logged in the event viewer
    The Message Engine Encountered an error while suspending one or more Messages ( ID 5677)
    Event  ID : 5796
    The transport proxy method MoveToNextTransport() failed for adapter WCF-Custom: Reason: “Messaging engine has no record of delivering the message to the adapter. This could happen if MoveToNextTransport() is called multiple times for the same message by
    the adapter or if it is called for a message which was never delivered to the adapter by the messaging engine”. Contact the adapter vendor
    Should I have log this issue with Microsoft through Service request ? or is there any work around is there. Unfortunate is I cannot remove the reliable messaging from the service.
    Arun

    Hi,
    Is there any solution to this problem?
    I am getting the same issue "The transport proxy method MoveToNextTransport() failed for adapter WCF-NetTcp: Reason: "Messaging engine has no record of delivering the message to the adapter.
    This could happen if MoveToNextTransport() is called multiple times for the same message by the adapter or if it is called for a message which was never delivered to the adapter by the messaging engine". Contact the adapter vendor"
    I checked this link http://rajwebjunky.blogspot.be/2011/09/biztalk-dynamic-request-response-port.html, but
    in my case i am not using dynamic port.
    In my scenario, i have a number of dehydrated orchestrations that become active every Monday 6:00 AM UTC and make to calls to a WCF service, to spread out the load I have implemented a load distribution logic where orchestrations send request to service
    in every 1 minute (not at the same time). but still i get this error sometime.
    I have opened a ticket with MS support but thought that someone might have already found the root cause.
    Let me know if there is one.
    Thanks,
    Rahul

  • HTTP 404 - File not found with frames

    Hi,
    I am using a frameset that has 3 frames. The frameset happened to be my home page. The problem is this frameset comes up with HTTP 404 - File not found in place of all the other three frames. Below is a code snippet from my jsp. What should I do? Urgent help appreciated.
    <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Frameset//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/frameset.dtd">

    </frameset>
    </frameset>
    <noframes><body>
    </body></noframes>
    </html>

    What is the url you use to access the frameset?
    Are the logo.jsp navBar.jsp and home.jsp in the same folder as the frameset?
    Do you use any server side forwards to change the URL?
    Because you are using relative urls to load the pages, it will look for those pages in the folder that you requested in your initial URL. It will not take into account any serverside forwarding (the browser knows nothing of these)

  • PHP using FastCGI on WebServer 7, Windows XP, not working, get http 404 err

    I got PHP to work with Web Server 7 on Windows XP, but for some reason that I dont know, the server became unresponsive after processing a page with a WordPress forum, so I wanted to use FastCGI instead so PHP wont cause a crash of the server, but I cant get it to work.
    The problem is that when trying to show a simple webpage "phpinfo.php", I get a http 404 error, saying could not find the file. In the "Fastcgistub.log" log I see the following:
    Fastcgistub.exe - version (1)
    created child - 4460
    After trying again, the following is displayed:
    E:/Dev/WebServer7/plugins/php/php-cgi.exe bound to \\.\pipe\FastCGI\gfxeditor.com is already running
    I followed the instructions... I dont know what else to do... Do you have any ideas why it cannot display the page?

    If I were to guess I'd say that the order of the directives in the obj.conf if wrong. Try moving the Service stanza for FastCGI to be below the send-file Service:
    Service method="(GET|HEAD|POST)" type="~magnus-internal/" fn="send-file"
    Service type="magnus-internal/php"
       fn="responder-fastcgi"
       app-path="E:/Dev/WebServer7/plugins/php/php-cgi.exe"
       bind-path="https-www.gfxeditor.com--php_cgi"
       app-env="PHPRC=E:/Dev/WebServer7/plugins/php"
       app-env="PHP_FCGI_CHILDREN=2"
       app-env="PHP_FCGI_MAX_REQUEST=200"
    Service method="TRACE" fn="service-trace"
    Error fn="error-j2ee"
    ...For example, in my obj.conf (which uses FastCGI and work just fine with PathInfo paths) I have this (note also that my stanza is wrapped in some If syntax to further restrict the execution of PHP):
    Service method=(GET|HEAD) type=*~magnus-internal/* fn=send-file bucket="static-bucket"
    #Sun FastCGI config
    <If $urlhost =~ "($VSids)"
        and $urlhost =~ '(.*\..*)$'>
          Service fn=responder-fastcgi
            app-path="/export/WS7/third-party/php/php_fcgi"
            bind-path="$(lc($1))"
            req-retry=5
            type="*magnus-internal/fastcgi*"
            app-env="PHPRC=/export/WS7/https-www/config"
            app-env="PHP_FCGI_CHILDREN=2"
            app-env="PHP_FCGI_MAX_REQUEST=1000"
            min-procs=1
            restart-interval=10
            bucket="php-bucket"
            rlimit_cpu=60
    </If>
    ...Sriram, it's indicated above that PHP 5.3 is currently in use. I'll assume that this is the pre-compiled PHP binary from php.net, or that this is a custom binary. I'm also using PHP 5.3 (though on Linux, not Windows) and see no reason why that would cause a particular problem.

  • Invalid content type for SOAP: TEXT/HTML; HTTP 404 Not Found

    Hi,
    I have mentioned some issues that I am facing in SOAP receiver adapter:
    [XIAdapter/HTTP/ADAPTER.HTTP_EXCEPTION - HTTP 404 Not Found;
    Apart from that I am trying with unchecking 'Do Not Use SOAP envelope' and by using MessageTransformBean, for which I am getting the following error:
    Message processing failed. Cause: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: invalid content type for SOAP: TEXT/HTML; HTTP 404 Not Found: java.io.IOException: invalid content type for SOAP: TEXT/HTML; HTTP 404 Not Found
    Need your help in resolving  this.
    Regards,
    Vishal

    I have some ideas which will help you out. Check the below option one by one:
    1. Check receiver server is accessable from XI/PI system through IP address in command prompt.
    2. Check whether any PORT is enabled for this server. ex: http://ipaddress:portno/XXX/XXX.asmx
    3. You can download webservice tool(SOAP UI and etc..)to check your webservice(WSDL) file able to connect the server by importing webservice file in this tool.
    4. Sometime customer may updated in their application(coding and etc) and not given the updated webservice file to us. so make sure you got updated one.

    a) Can I copy the custom top folder from current production to the new 12 ?Yes, and add the CUSTOM_TOP to the application context file, custom<CONTEXT_NAME>.env file and to the default.env file.
    b) Register the custom top ?You do not have to since this is stored in the database and will be there after the upgrade.

  • Http: 404 when starting 'manage user data' in EBP/SRM for the firs time.

    We are customizing SRM 3.0 EBP 4.0 with SAPKU40005.
    When we tried to create the first users we started to receive the following error 'http: 404 Page not Found' when starting 'manage user data'. (URL: http://[server]/sap/bc/bsp/bbpusermaint/!?client=400&language=EN&~logingroup=SPACE&addSession=1&parentBbpSession=SRP:[server]:0000.0005.d5ffd7b2.d87e
    I've created the ADMIN user in the SU01 transaction. When logon in mySRM browser with this or any administrator user and try to 'manage user data' i get this error.
    I've looked in the '(...)inetpub\wwwroot\sap' directory and didn't found any 'bc/bsp/...' directory.
    Can someone please give me an hint ....
    Tanks

    Hello Carlos,
    the BSP Framework you are now in has nothing to do with the ITS stuff like inetpub or wwwroot.
    Get the docu for Web AS 6.20 and have a look into transaction SICF. There you can activate your application: follow the path sap/bc/bsp/bbpusermaint, right mouse click on the "node" and say activate.
    This maybe solves your problem. But read a little bit of the doco on Internet Communication Framework (TX SICF) first.
    Regards, Bernd

  • IPlanet HTTP 404 not shown , Page never loads

    Hello,
    We have one of the Iplanet Web Server 6.0 SP2 running on Solaris.
    Whenever a http request is made to the web server for a non existing file, the Browser (web Server) does not responds with a default HTTP 404 Error page. The Browser page never completes the loading.
    Ideally following things should happen:
    1) web server should respond with a HTTP 404 error page.
    2) There should be an entry in access logs for this request
    3) There should be an entry in error logs for this request.
    All the above things do not happen at all.
    May be due to this a connection remains open for every such request.
    After a period of @ 2-3 hours the server hangs.
    Other instances are running fine and also respond with a 404 page for such request.
    Any idea where can I check whether the server has its default http 404 page intact, or the default page itself is not there?
    Any solution for this problem?
    Thanks.

    No actually not the log files but the error responses files. But if you changed them you would know about them ;-)
    I would find out with truss -wall -rall -eaf -p <pid of the webserver> so see why he keeps on putting an error. (for the pid you need to check all the process i don't which one you need).
    To enable a customized error response, follow these steps:
    1. From the Class Manager, click the Content Management tab.
    2. Click Error Responses.
    3. Choose Entire Server from the resource picker to apply your >change to the whole class, or navigate to the document root for a >specific virtual server, or to a specific directory or within a specific >virtual server.
    4. For each error code you want to change, specify theabsolute
    path to the file or CGI that contains the error response.
    5. Click OK.

  • Switching theme gives WWV_FLOW_DISP_PAGE_PLUGS HTTP 404 error ORA6502

    I have a default theme of Blue and had customised one template for the Reports theme and named it 'Customised Theme'. I had created 2 themes Sand and Business. After I switched theme to sand I get an error in the pages that I created the customized template.
    [Mon Feb 27 10:20:22 2006] [error] [client ] [ecid: ] mod_plsql: /pet/f HTTP-404 ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character string buffer too small

    ORA-06512: at "FLOWS_020000.F", line 236
    ORA-06512: at line 10
    I changed the template from 'Customised Theme' back to 'Reports region', tried switching it back again. Still the same error. I no longer use the 'Customised Theme', but still it gives me an error in the same page.
    It gives this error in both the Sand and Business Theme. I deleted the themes and recreated the themes and still get the same error.
    I created a new theme Theme 10, and switched it to this theme. There is no error and it gets displayed correctly.
    How can I switch theme to Sand now and what is that error?
    Thanks

    Whenever you make any changes affecting the behaviour of the page, the page gives a HTTP 404.
    For example, I just changed the authentication to use my customised authentication, then I get the error. If I change it to database, then it works.
    But again, after that if I change it back to customized authentication, AND change it to enable security, then it works.
    In my local when I removed the Security it worked, but now when I add one more parameter to the URL Redirect for example add P30_EDIT_FLAG with a value of Y, it starts giving an Error.
    If you want to simulate this behaviour in HTMLDB, just keep toggling between the SSP and Authentication, then you can get the 404 error. For example, first time if it works, then make any change - for example the SSP or Authentication, then it fails, if it fails, Make one more change (again either SSP or authentication - anything) then it succeeds.

    Hello. I'm getting an Http 404 The webpage cannot be found" error when trying to export any APEX application's query results into Excel (Application Express 3.2.1.00.10). This was working fine before. Nothing changed with our APEX application. I've been always using I.E. Version 7.0.5730.11 with no problems. I've reset the I.E. defaults and still the problem exists. I've downloaded Mozilla Firefox and the problem does not happen. However, I would like to know why my I.E. still gets this error? Any feedback or suggestions would greatly be appreciated. Thanks for your time.
