HTTP Adapter for ESB/BPEL

hi,
i need to know if there is any adapter available to call a HTTP service or any other alternative to call a HTTP web service.
Please reply as soon as possible.
Thanks
Kiran

Hello Antony,
I am trying to invoke a simple mediation and routing service using HTTP Post request/resposnse rather than SOAP/WSDL. How Can I achieve that. An example can be StockQuote example where I can pass stock name and stock exchange name (Nasdaq/DowJones). Based on stock exchange parameter I will invoke an external HTTP Service via HTTP request/response type further reponds back the result to the Consumer. Do you have any simple example/ step by step by guide to achieve this.

  • What should be configured as channel in Oracle CEP HTTP adapter for remote publishing?

    Hi,
    Below is the adapter configuration that I have for Oracle CEP HTTP adapter for remote publishing. What exactly should be configured in <channel> here? In the oracle documentation example, it only says /channel2 as an example.
    Below is the HTTP adapter configuration file that I have created.
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <wlevs:config xmlns:wlevs="http://www.bea.com/ns/wlevs/config/application">
        <http-pub-sub-adapter>
            <name>HttpPostAdapter</name>
            <server-url>http://localhost:8080/RESTfulWS/rest/UserInfoService/post/jsonstream</server-url>
            <channel>/RESTfulWS</channel>
            <event-type>com.wipro.event.ResultEvent1</event-type>
        </http-pub-sub-adapter>
    </wlevs:config>
    '/RESTfulWS' in my above configuration is the context-root of my rest service.But this is not working so I would like someone to help me understand this configuration.
    Many thanks.
    Regards
    Sowmya

    Hi, Sowmya,
    From your configuration
    Is the http://localhost:8080/RESTfulWS/rest/UserInfoService/post/jsonstream httppubsub server? I don't think the oep http pub adapter can publish event to rest service.
    For http pub adapter, you can take a look at fx sample, it publishes events to a embedded http pub/sub server of oep.
    Thanks,

  • SOAP/HTTP adapter for ABAP proxy

    Hi,
    Is it possible to send data to a SAP system using an inbound proxy and  SOAP/ HTTP adapter.
    As per my knowledge , XI adapter is generally used for Proxy communication.
    If SOAP/HTTP can be used then what should be the message protocol.
    There are 2 protocols allowed by SOAP adapter : SOAP 1.1 and XI3.0.
    Can XI 3.0 be used here?

    1. you will increase the burdon of message to include header and body with SOAP/HTTP
    Use following link to decide which adapter should be used - http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/index?rid=/webcontent/uuid/70d8e250-e892-2b10-ab8a-d04433cf158b [original link is broken]

  • Configure plain http adapter for receiving message from an external system

    Hi,
    we use Pi/700.
    Now I have an external system and I have to use HTTP (plain) to send messages to XI (via plain http adapter).
    I have no experiences with HTTP!
    In the external system I can only configure "URL, Username, Password" for sending messages - that's all!
    What do I have to configure in XI (communication channel, abap-stack, java-stack,...)?
    I don't know the URL of my XI-system. Is there an transaction code to get this information?
    Why do I need a Username/Pasword?
    For testing I can use a "http-post test tool" I found here in this forum.
    Thank you all for any help!

    Hi Hummel,
    In Exteranl System u have to use these values
    name="myhost"      value="xiserver"
    name="myport"      value="8000"
    name="mysystem"    value="XY_BSservice"
    name="myinterface" value="Order_out"

    name="mypass"      value="xiuser"
    Here My system is the Business service created in Integration directory of XI, Interface is the one created in Integration Repository (This is Outbaound from external sys to XI)
    In XI U have to create
    Data Types : 1) Source Structure data type(from extenal sys)
                 2) Target structure (where u want to send from XI)
    Message Types : 2 with above DT's
    Message Interface: 1) Outbound, Async (Order_out)
                       2) Inbound , Async (for the target sys)
    Then Message mapping and Interface mapping as usual..
    And in ID u have to create 2 services one is XY_BSservice for sending system and the other is for receiving system...
    For sending system no communication channel required...
    Hope u will get idea from the above..

  • Configuring JMS adapter for a BPEL process which puts a msg in a Q of MQ

    Hi,
    I am trying to develop a BPEL process which picks up a message from a Q in Websphere MQ and puts that message in another Q of MQ after processing that.
    I have updated the oc4j-ra.xml with the following inputs:
    <connector-factory location="eis/MQSeries/Queue" connector-name="Jms Adapter">
              <config-property name="connectionFactoryLocation" value="com.ibm.mq.jms.MQQueueConnectionFactory"/>

              <config-property name="acknowledgeMode" value="AUTO_ACKNOWLEDGE"/>
              <config-property name="isTopic" value="false"/>
              <config-property name="isTransacted" value="true"/>
              <config-property name="username" value="admin"/>
              <config-property name="password" value="welcome"/>

  • Convert XML payload to HTML form data in Receiver HTTP Adapter

    Hi,
    I want to make a HTTP request ( Receiver HTTP Adapter ) to a servlet where I need to send the payload in HTML form format ( name=value ). As per the help document:
    A typical HTML form comprises named fields. When transferring a completed form to the server or a CGI program, the data must be transferred in such a way that the CGI script can recognize the fields that make up the form, and which data was entered in which field.
    The plain HTTP adapter constructs this format using a prolog and an epilog
    Has anyone done this before? I looked through all help documents and forums but in vain. I can resort to Java Mapping to do this but I do not want to re-invent the wheel if I can do it easily using HTTP Adapter Configuration. Please help.

    The parameters available in HTTP adapter for message header are:
    HeaderFieldFive     http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/HTTP
    HeaderFieldFour     http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/HTTP
    HeaderFieldOne     http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/HTTP

  • HTTP Adapter and DUNS scheme - possible bug ?

    Hi Folks,
    I am using the HTTP adapter for posting an XML message which is then redirected towards IDOC adapter ... nothing special here ...
    I am using the scheme 'DUNS' and agency '016' to pass along the partner identification when calling the HTTP adapter ...
    The HTTP adapter tries to match the given partner information and finds the proper XI Party ... BUT ... it overwrites the DUNS number value with the XI Party but leaves the agency and scheme pointing to DUNS ...
    An example
    Going IN:
    Party = 12345789, Agency = 016, Scheme = DUNS
    After conversion
    Party = MyPartner, Agency = 016, Scheme = DUNS
    So the receiver determination works fine and then we go to the IDOC adapter when stuff goes into error as it cannot convert the given sender information into a proper IDOC partner ...
    The whole thing works fine when I am passing along
    Party = MyPartner, Agency = http://sap.com ..., Scheme = XIParty
    then the IDOC is created and send towards SAP ...
    I am thinking that the Sender determination in the HTTP adapter goes wrong as the combination
    Party = MyPartner, Agency = 016, Scheme = DUNS
    is clearly wrong ...  Furthermore I have lost my original DUNS number ( so it cannot be used for example in mappings, etc ... )
    Anyone had similar issues or problems with this ?
    Regards,
    Steven

    Apply note 954645. This should solve the issue.

    The DUNS must be provided in the message payload as well.
    Usually the party normalization is done by the adapters in a very specific way. So the RNIF adapter takes the DUNS out of the message payload of the RosettaNet message and does the party normalization with that DUNS.
    In the HTTP adapter there is no need for a party normalization as you provide a URL for the HTTP client where you can add the party in the query string.

  • HTTP Adapter Interconnect 10.1.2 problem

    Hello,
    Can someone explain me how to use Interconnect for sending xml-messages from a database to a webservice, and processing the answer?
    We tried the following:
    Install a database adapter
    Install a (sync) http adapter
    The common view is a procedure basd on a DTD
    The database application has an invoke procedure
    The http application has the implemented procedure.
    The application view of the http application is a copy of the common view.
    This works for sending the message. Also, the http-response succeeds:
    In the http log we can see the content of the reply (in XML). However, after this, there's a complaint in the logging:
    Bridge successfully sent message from OAI to external system
    You must have data for KentekenAanvraag_reqKentekenAanvraag_OUT_OAI_V1_T:OAI/V1.VRTG-PER-VERZ.ALG-GEG.WACHT-WOORD-ACT in your XML according to the DTD which was imported in iStudio.
    Agent: ** Error ** Bridge had an error processing the received message.
    Indeed, there is no data sent back for this entry. Does this mean that the application view defines exactly what is expected? Are optional fields not permitted?
    Also, on the database-side, we get this error:
    OAI.Agent.syncRequest : ORA-20000: ORU-10023: error 3 on lock request
    I hope someone can give us a clue!
    Thanks,
    Monique

    hi,
    I am new to Interconnect stuff .We are trying use http adapter for Request and Reply.Could you please let me know how to approach ?Waht are the steps I have read the documentation but it's doesn't have a case study as the other adapters.
    Any help will be gratly appreciated.

  • Plain HTTP adapter fort HTTPs

    Hi guys,
    I use receiver plain HTTP adapter for sending SOAP request. Followinf parameters have tu be entred:
    Addressing Type: URL Address
    Target Host: <host>
    Service Number: <port>
    Path Prefix: <path>
    Then final address is generated:
    http://<host>:<port>/<path>
    It's working fine if I use http protocol.
    Now I need to send SOAP request to address https://<host>/<path>. I don't know number of port where SSL communication's running.
    Is it possible to enforce using of https protocol instead of http? Is it possible to enter empty port number? Or do you have any other idea how to pass around this problem?
    Thank you in advance for every advice!
    Regards
    Zbynek

    >>Is it possible to enforce using of https protocol instead of http?
    Instead of using URL Addressing option, you need to start using HTTP Destination option. An RFC destination type G should then be created where the similar details of hostname and path should be provided.
    >Is it possible to enter empty port number?
    Yes it could be empty, but you need to confirm it from the receiver party that would they be able to receive https request or not if no port is provided. This would depend upon the type of implementation they have at their end.

  • HTTP Adapter VS XI Adapter

    Hi,
    XI and HTTP adapter almost have the same parameters. In which circumstance we will use XI adapter instead of HTTP adapter and what is the advantage of using XI adapter over HTTP adapter?
    regards
    chaks

    For proxy we will use Xi adapter.  This uses SAP's native XI protocol for communication.
    For HTTP communication such as posting a request to a web application we will use HTTP adapter. Also we can use HTTP adapter for Webservices.
    Both XI and HTTP adapter in all versions except 7.3, available in Integration Engine. In SAP 7.1 EHP and latest versions, even SOAP adapter can use XI as message protocol for Proxy communications.

  • Certificate in HTTP adapter

    Dear Friends,
    I am working on scenario in which I have to pick file from a folder and send to partner on the link provided by them, and as a security measure i have to use certificate.
    I am going to use HTTP adapter for sending message.
    I had done all configuration but I am not getting where I am going to do the settings of certificate in HTTP adapter.
    I mean, if I use BC adapter for communication there is place on bc adapter where I can give keystore entry and keystore view.
    Please let me know where i have to do setting for certificate in HTTP adapter
    Thanks,
    Brijesh Soni

    Another option you cna try is to configure the SOAP adapter in the receiver and use the Do not use SOAP envelop. The message will then be treated as a HTTP request.
    the SOAP adapter has the option of specifying the keystore etc

  • SSL in HTTP adapter

    Hi All,
    Would I be able to use an HTTP adapter for HTTPS connection. As currently i am unable to see any SSL feature in HTTP adapter in Comm Channel.
    Please guide me with info and links as to how would I be able to enable it. I am using PI7.1

    Hi,
    you could define the SSL settings in the RFC connection that is referenced from the Adapter (select HTTP Destination
    as Addressing Type).
