HTTP and T3 traffic/configuration question

I want to use WL as my server for everything but I want to set it up so
the HTTP traffic is on port 80 and the other non-HTTP stuff like
T3/JNDI/RMI is on another port - yet all use the same site name.
Is this possible?
Thanks
Tom

In order to do this, I think you will have to look into using multiple non-clustered WebLogic servers as you can only configure
two listen ports for each WLS (one standard and one secure). Clustered servers would have the same limitation since each
member of the cluster runs on the same port number of a different IP address.
Hope this helps,

  • Oracle hardware and storage solution configuration questions

    Hi all,
    I am configuring hardware and the storage solution for a project and am hoping to have some questions answered about using Oracle as the storage solution.
    The current setup will have 2 Dell NX3100 NAS gateways each with dual quad core processors, 24GB of RAM, 12x2TB data disks, and running Windows Storage Server 2008 64bit as the OS.
    Will also have direct attached storage of 2 Dell PowerVault MD1200 disk arrays, each disk array with 12 x 2Terabyte SAS disk drives giving a total of 36TB of storage space for each NAS Gateway.
    Based on this information, is there any problem with two Oracle Standard Edition installation (1 per NAS) holding up to 36TB of data (mostly high res images) in this hardware configuration?
    Does Oracle have a built in solution for replicating data between the 2 NAS heads and down to the disk arrays? Where the application sever will write to one of the NAS+disk arrays and then that data is written from the first NAS to the 2nd NAS+disk array? Currently I've used DoubleTake in other projects but am wondering if Oracle has something similar that is built in.
    Finally, will Backup Exec Oracle agent work with this configuration for backing up the data to a Dell PowerVault ML6020 Tape backup device?
    Thanks in advance for any insight.

  • WCCP Configuration HTTP and HTTPS

    Looking for anyone that might have a clue in on this, im attempting to configure a pair of routers to use WCCP to redirect HTTP and HTTPS traffic to two content keeper devices. The network im building is going to be used for a guest internet connection where defining proxies on end devices would be unusable.
    I'll drop the configs in below but for now what i have are 2 cisco 3925 routers configured for HSRP. 2 content keeps running squid for the cache engine. with my current configurations, I have wccp web-cache and wccp service 70 configured (all 4 devices are available/usable in both services). this is a layer 2 setup. HTTP traffic is picked up and redirected to the content keepers without issue. https traffic does not appear to be detected by the routers. I have chosen not to use ACLS for WCCP and use the redirect in because we want to capture http(s) traffic from all hosts.
    for HTTP, I see hits counters rise on the router under show ip wccp, i see hit counters for the content keepers increase, i see http traffic on the firewall from the content keepers and I get the web page on the device
    For HTTPS I do not see hit counters under wccp increase, I do not see any traffic on the content keepers bridge, and i see traffic on the firewall from the hosts orginal ip address.

    Hello Josh,
    1. Yes, port-specific ACL is not supported. But it is not a big problem. Usually on WCCP server you can configure very specific bypass (Cisco WSA supports that - do not know about Sophos). For bypassed traffic WCCP server will reinject that packet in GRE and send back to ASA which will decapsulate it and send as normal packets.
    It's a good design, because you can have very granural bypass policy on WCCP server.
    2. Yes, configuration is correct, although it's better to be more specific (not send all traffic to WCCP if there is no need for that).
    3. Yes, you can use deny in redirect-list to exclude traffic.
    4. WCCP keepalives are being send by WCCP server by default every 10 seconds. If ASA does not see that replies for some time it marks server as dead and uses other ones.

  • Configuring WCCP for http and https

    How do I configure wccp on a 6509 to redirect http and https trafic to a S650. I am using the following config and http is working fine:
    ip wccp version 2
    ip wccp web-cache redirect-list aclwccp
    interface Vlan23
    description Rede Firewall
    ip address 10.0.23.20 255.255.255.0
    ip access-group 172 out
    ip wccp web-cache redirect out
    mls rp vtp-domain coc_block1
    mls rp ip
    mls netflow sampling
    end
    Should I config an other service for the https protocol?

    Cecato,
    The WSA can be configured to send 80 and 443 traffic, in the WCCP settings area (5.2.0+). There are some things you will need to be aware of before doing this though:
    1. If you are on 5.2.0-x, you will not be able to inspect HTTPS traffic. Only version 5.5.0+ has the ability to decrypt HTTPS traffic. Because of this, it is not recommended to redirect port 443 on WSA version 5.2.
    2. You will most likely need to specify a service ID other then web-cache. On most Cisco devices, web-cache is reserved for port 80 traffic only and cannot be changed. Any other service ID will work as you want it to.

  • HTTPS Configuration question

    I've just been handed an iWS6.1 server and need to setup HTTPS. That's easy, not much different than ldap, messaging server and Portal.
    But my question is "How should I provide the HTTPS service?" From a quick read of the docs, I could do 1 of 2 things.
    1. Add a https listener to the current virtual web server: www.xyz.com
    2. Define a new virtual server and call it wwws.xyz.com
    The https service would be used to authenticate users and present pages under www.xyz.com. The big advantage I see to using wwws.xyz.com is that it would force developers to put all their https dependant code in one spot, but I could be mistaken on that assumption.
    Thanks,
    Roger S.

    First of all, there is nothing wrong with letting Outlook connect via HTTP internally as well. This is actually the direction Exchange is going (in fact, in Exchange 2013 all Outlook connectivity takes place via Outlook Anywhere).
    Second, it's a fallback mechanism and all that the option does is either attempt to connect first via RPC and then HTTP or first HTTP and then RPC.
    Third, your Internet connection speed is also irrelevant in this case since it is your network adapter speed which counts and that is most likely your local LAN speed and even higher than that.
    Anyway, to answer your question; Yes, what Outlook considers slow is configurable via the Registry.
    However, since the full answer is a bit more complex, it is a bit hard to explain it here so I turned it into a blog post:

  • When converting over to HTTPS and PKI for clients, not all actions are available in configuration manager cpl

    I'm not exactly sure which forum heading this should go under so if this isn't correct please let me know or move it on my behalf.
    So I am trying to setup Internet Based Client Management in SCCM 2012 R2 and have come across a few articles on how to do so.   I think I have mostly gotten it to work but I seem to be having a client issue when deploying new machines.  My already
    deployed servers seem to have picked up the PKI setting no problem.  In the past when I would deploy a new windows client everything would be fine.  When i converted over to PKI in my test environment I am now having issues when I go to deploy a
    new windows client. I don't get all of the Actions listed in the Configuration Manager control panel.  All I have are Discovery Data Collection, Machine Policy Retrieval and Eval, User Policy Retrieval and Eval, and Windows Installer Source list Update
    Cycles, before all of them would populate no problem.  I have let this machine sit here for several hours and nothing has changed yet.  It does say PKI for client certificate.  Sometimes when I would deploy new machines it would say NONE for
    Client certificate.  In my production environment it says self-signed.  I have found if i uninstall the client and re-install the client it does populate all of the cycles but I don't understand why it is not working on deployment.
    Ok so maybe not all the time that when i reinstall the client it fixes it.  I just did an uninstall and reinstall on a test client and all it has under actions are machine and user policy cycles.
    Does anyone have any ideas?

    Hi,
    I think SCCM client installed before the GPO applied, so you don't a certificate available when it is required.
    You can export and import the certificate by using MDT integration, try this blog for PKI part:
    How To: Build and Capture in Configuration Manager 2012 using HTTPS
    And in addition, you can upload the log to your onedrive so you can share with us.

  • SAP-JEE, SAP_BUILDT, and SAP_JTECHS and Dev Configuration questions

    Hi experts,
    I am configuring NWDI for our environment and have a few questions that I'm trying to get my arms around.
    I've read we need to check-in SAP-JEE, SAP_BUILDT, and SAP_JTECHS as required components, but I'm confused on the whole check-in vs. import thing.
    I placed the 3 files in the correct OS directory and checked them in via the check-in tab on CMS.   Next, the files show up in the import queue for the DEV tab.  My questions are what do I do next?
    1.  Do I import them into DEV?  If so, what is this actually doing?  Is it importing into the actual runtime system (i.e. DEV checkbox and parameters as defined in the landscape configurator for this track)? Or is just importing the file into the DEV buildspace of NWDI system?
    2.  Same question goes for the Consolidation tab.    Do I import them in here as well?
    3.  Do I need to import them into the QA and Prod systems too?  Or do I remove them from the queue?
    Development Configuration questions ***
    4. When I download the development configuration, I can select DEV or CON workspace.  What is the difference?  Does DEV point to the sandbox (or central development) runtime system and CONS points to the configuration runtime system as defined in the landscape configurator?  Or is this the DEV an CON workspace/buildspace of the NWDI sytem.
    5.  Does the selection here dictate the starting point for the development?  What is an example scenarios when I would choose DEV vs. CON?
    6.  I have heard about the concept of a maintenance track and a development track.  What is the difference and how do they differ from a setup perspective?   When would a Developer pick one over the over?
    Thanks for any advice
    -Dave

    Hi David,
    "Check-In" makes SCA known to CMS, "import" will import the content of the SCAs into CBS/DTR.
    1. Yes. For these three SCAs specifically (they only contain buildarchives, no sources, no deployarchives) the build archives are imported into the dev buildspace on CBS. If the SCAs contain deployarchives and you have a runtime system configured for the dev system then those deployarchives should get deployed onto the runtime system.
    2. Have you seen /people/marion.schlotte/blog/2006/03/30/best-practices-for-nwdi-track-design-for-ongoing-development ? Sooner or later you will want to.
    3. Should be answered indirectly.
    4. Dev/Cons correspond to the Dev/Consolidation system in CMS. For each developed SC you have 2 systems with 2 workspaces in DTR for each (inactive/active)
    5. You should use dev. I would only use cons for corrections if they can't be done in dev and transported. Note that you will get conflicts in DTR if you do parallel changes in dev and cons.
    6. See link in No.2 ?

  • How configure rewriter proxy to allow both http and https

    Hi,
    We are attempting to proxy a web application with the portal rewriter however the web application starts off as https and then switches to http, and even back to https as you click through hyperlinks. By default the portal rewriter doesn't seem to tolerate this URL/protocol switching. Since we have no control over the application to force it one way or the other, we need a way so that the portal rewriter will tolerate this situation.
    Currently we have it configured this way:
    psconsole -> secure remote access -> profile: default -> deployment -> proxies for domains and subdomains -> domains:
    Domain/Subdomain: HostWeAreProxying.domain.com Proxy: <blank>
    Rewriter settings are all default.
    SJS Portal Server 7.1
    Any help is appreciated.
    Kevin

    When opening up the administrative console
    (http://localhost:8080/console?func=frameset) and looking at the source
    it shows the following:
    <HTML>
    <HEAD>
    <TITLE>iPlanet Portal Server 3.0 Administration Console</TITLE>
    </HEAD>
    <FRAMESET FRAMEBORDER="no" COLS="*" ROWS="110,*" BORDER=0>
    <FRAME BORDER=0 SCROLLING="no" MARGINHEIGHT=10 SRC="/admin/top.html">
         <FRAMESET COLS="250,*" BORDER=0>
         <FRAME SRC="/console?func=directNav" NAME="navigatorFrame">
         <FRAME SRC="/console?func=frameAdmin" NAME="adminFrame">
         </FRAMESET>
    </FRAMESET>
    </HTML>
    Where are the html files located that the console servlet is including?
    The problem that I am encountering is this:
    I need to set the "Primary Document Directory" in the iPlanet webserver
    to something other than - <ipsbase>/public_html which seems to be the
    default configuration. When I switched the doc root to /foo/bar/ I
    noticed no problems with the portal server until I tried to enter the
    admin console. My browser reported back file not found errors for each
    of the frame pages that are included in the HTML snippet above. I
    understand that by changing the document root that the servlet no longer
    has a context of /admin/top.html but does anyone have thoughts as to
    what is going on and how to resolve this?
    thanks

  • Configuration SAP EP systems in HTTPS and SSL

    Hi,
    Can anyone tell me the regarding the configuration SAP EP systems in HTTPS and SSL.
    The scenario is  Client -->Application gateway( Web Dispatcher) -->EP6
    Regards,
    Moulinath Ray

    Hi,
    I am giving to you the steps we do for our securization (EP 7.0):
    Prerequisites:
    -Download SAP Cryptographic ToolKit at http://service.sap.com/ swdc and -> SAP Crypto-graphic Software -> SAP JAVA CryptoToolkit (J2EE Engine as of Release 6.30)
    -Unzip it with SAPCAR
    Logon in SDM and deploy the file
    Check in Visual Admin -> Dispatcher/Server -> Libraries -> core_libs iaik_jce.jar is included
    Loof for SSL Service in Config Tool in Server and Dispatcher, it should be "always"
    Steps:
    -Asking for a certificate
    Visual Admin -> Cluster -> Server (central instance ) -> Services -> Key storage -> Service_ssl -> Create
    Fill in all the data, and be careful with the common name:
    -It shouldn´t have "http" or "https" on it
    -It shouldn´t have port number on it
    For example: "https
    www.myportal.domain:port", the common name should be "www.myportal.domain"
    Visual Admin -> Key Storage -> service_ssl -> Select your certificate and u201CGenerate CSR Requestu201D
    Send the file to a CA
    -Importing the validated certificate:
    Visual Admin -> Key Storage -> Import CSR Response
    In each Server, under SSL Provider, assign the certificate to port 50001, in each Dispatcher
    Now, the portal is secure, and you can check it now.
    A last step would be export the certificate and send it to your Network Team, so they can export it in the load balancing server, reverse proxy, etc.

  • Https and http configuration

    Hello All
    Can anyone tell me how to configure a website which contain both https and http pages? I mean for example, if you go to your online banking website, all the pages before you reach the Login page are in http. But once you have login, all the pages are under https.
    For my own project, I have also installed the SSL onto my Tomcat, it works fine. However, all the pages are under https, even the index.html page. Below is my server.xml, hope it may give you more information.
    Many thanks

    True for my version of TOMCAT
    I think that if you check http://localhost:8080
    you will find that you can access your pages
    with out using http also.
    You are applying ssl to the server not the individual
    war files. So you can access the files using both
    https and http.
    What you need todo is set the security parameters of the
    war file that you want to access using https to only allow
    connection using https.
    So now you can access the web pages using http or https
    but you can only access the file with the security settings
    using https.
    Note if you are using sessions becareful you don't jump between
    http & https and leave the session id exposed.

  • Configuration Question on  local-scheme and high-units

    I run my Tangosol cluster with 12 nodes on 3 machines(each machine with 4 cache server nodes). I have 2 important configuration questions. Appreciate if you can answer them ASAP.
    - My requirement is that I need only 10000 objects to be in cluster so that the resources can be freed upon when other caches are loaded. I configured the <high-units> to be 10000 but I am not sure if this is per node or for the whole cluster. I see that the total number of objects in the cluster goes till 15800 objects even when I configured for the 10K as high-units (there is some free memory on servers in this case). Can you please explain this?
    - Is there an easy way to know the memory stats of the cluster? The memory command on the cluster doesn't seem to be giving me the correct stats. Is there any other utility that I can use?

  • E3000 questions. Cisco Connect with https and turn off wireless?

    My old router died this weekend after 10 years and I have been wanting to get a faster router for a while anyways.
    I picked up a E3000 and set it up yesterday.
    The firmware is 1.0.03
    I have two main questions
    I changed the router settings so you can only browser manage the router through https and turned off http access to the router.
    Cisco Connect now doesn't work. Will Cisco Connect work with HTTPS? Do I have to do something to get it to work?
    I also didn't see a version number on Cisco Connect am I just not noticing it?
    I'd really like to shut off wireless on most days when I'm not home. I want the router to still be working since my desktop computers are directly connected to the router and I remote into them. Is there an easy way to shutoff the wireless and then easily turn it back on when I get home?
    thanks
    mike

    Mine works the same. It's probably designed that way for the manual way of logging into the setup page of the router.
    No, it seems no updates yet or see the need to have one.
    No, it doesn't have that option unfortunately.

  • Best way to pass IPv4 and IPv6 traffic over a GRE Tunnel

    Hello,
    We have two 3825 routers with Advanced Enterprise IOS 12.4.9(T). Each of them serves many IPv4 (private and public) and IPv6 networks on their respective site.
    We have created a wireless link between the two, using 4 wireless devices, with IP Addresses 10.10.2.2, 3, 4, 5 respectively (1 and 6 are the two end Ethernet interfaces on the routers).
    Then we created a GRE tunnel over this link using addresses 172.16.1.1 and 2 (for the two ends) to route traffic over this link.
    Now we want to route IPv6 traffic over the same link. However, we found that simply routing the IPv6 traffic over the above GRE / IP tunnel did not work.
    Questions:
    Is there a way we can use the same (GRE / IP) tunnel to transport both IPv4 and IPv6 traffic?
    If not, can we setup two GRE tunnels over the same wireless link, that is, one GRE / IP for IPv4 traffic and a second one GRE / IPv6 for IPv6 traffic?
    In brief, what is the suggested way to transport IPv4 and IPv6 traffic over the aforementioned (wireless) link?
    I have read http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/ios/12_4/interface/configuration/guide/inb_tun.html#wp1061361 and other Internet material, however I am still confused.
    Please help.
    Thanks in advance,
    Nick

    We have set up two tunnels over the same link, one GRE / IP for the IPv4 traffic and one IPv6 / IP ("manual") for the IPv6 traffic. This setup seems to be working OK.
    If there are other suggestions, please advise.
    Thanks,
    Nick

  • WAAS wccp tcp-promiscuous service-pair configuration question

    I have a WAE 512 that I upgraded to 4.5.1, the WCCP configuration was automatically changed in the configuration to the following:
    wccp router-list 1 192.168.20.1
    wccp tcp-promiscuous service-pair 61 62 failure-detection 30
    wccp tcp-promiscuous service-pair 61 62 router-list-num 1
    wccp version 2
    I have a WAVE-674 that I am going to replace this 512 with and I installed 5.0.1 on the 674.  I went through the automatic setup process and the wccp configuration came up like this:
    wccp router-list 7 192.168.20.1
    wccp tcp-promiscuous service-pair 1 2
    router-list-num 7
    exit
    And it informed me that I needed to put the wccp redirects for 61 in on LAN and 62 in on WAN, standard on the router and wccp 2, which I already have done.
    My question is, should my 5.0.1 configuration look the same as my 4.5.1 configuration, or does it matter?  I only found one document on the internet that had this "wccp tcp-promiscuous service-pair 1 2" in a Cisco PDF document where they were removing it to put some GRE specific configurations.

    hi Beau,
    something went wrong with the new WAVE 674 wccp configuration,  if the wccp router is the same (192.168.20.1) make sure it looks the same as in 4.5.1 version.
    Also for devices with WAAS version 5.0, you must explicitly configure the egress method.
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/app_ntwk_services/waas/waas/v501/configuration/guide/traffic.html#wp1275623
    if you need assistance choosing the right egress method I suggest to open a TAC case.
    hope that helps!

  • HTTP receiver adapter: dynamic configuration

    I was told that if I have a URL and some parameters, I can use a sync HTTP receiver adapter to call a site.
    I know this can be done using some kind of dynamic configuration, but I am not familiar with this adapter.
    The most important question here is that I need to know if this can be done throw PI, so my question is:
    Is there a parameter limit in the HTTP adapter? If so, what is the quantity of parameters that I can give to the adapter?

    for the ASMA parameters you can use for the HTTP receiver adapter check
