HTTP Crash in iMS5.2

Hi,
Can someone help in this question: We are using iMS 5.2 with NDS 4.16. Everything was working fine, until the last two months, when suddenly the HTTP service started to crash at least once or twice a week without any visible reason.
The OS is Solaris 9 running on E-250.
any comments are wellcome
Best Regards
Azim Lakha

This occurs because it is a piece of crap, but hey, you get what you pay for. So, instead of applying another crappy hotfix which will break something else, run something like this from cron every five minutes or so (if you are getting a core file which i think is the case).
#!/bin/ksh
CRAP=/u01/iplanet/server5/msg-mail/core
if
[ -f $CRAP ] ;
then
mv $CRAP /u01/iplanet/server5/msg-mail/core.$$
cd /u01/iplanet/server5/msg-mail
./start-msg http

  • Firefiox 7.0.1 crashes everytime I try to open. It immediately goes to a crash box for me to either restart or quit Firefox.

When I select restart it send a report and takes me back t the crash dialog box. As such I have no way to get into Firefox. I have reloaded Firefox 7.0.1 from fresh downloads twice and still have the same issue. I've unsuccessfully looked for earlier version of Firefox to reinstall but have not been able to locate any on the web.

I have Tor button... 1.3.3. alpha. Everything worked great since this morning. It happen to me few times this month. I deleted Yahoo State Plugin. Still doesn't work.
Yesterday I deleted Microsoft .NET Framework Assistant ...I heard it could possibly crash Firefox. But I think it wasn't about it... cause my browser still crashes. Also I have Java Console 6.0.26. and Java Quick Starter 1.0 but these plugins are always disabled when Tor in use.
    Thanks for you help.

I believe I've solved this issue by carrying out the following action:-
First cancel all “send and receive” operations in OutLook. Next remove all emails from your "Outbox" (by either deleting them or moving them to the “Draft” folder). Next shutdown OutLook and then click on the “Start” button on the lower left-hand side of the Window’s taskbar, then click on “Run” now type in “regsvr32.exe inetcomm.dll” without the quotation marks, so it looks like this:
    regsvr32.exe inetcomm.dll
Note the space between .exe and inetcomm.dll and hit “Enter” on the keyboard.
The computer will execute the command. If all goes well in a few moments a dialog box will appear and state “dll registered successful
I have not had it hand since ... cross fingers ;)

  • Firefox crashing when closing tab -- no Norton

I've got an old version of Firefox, as it's the only version that works in tandem with Greasemonkey for a script I need for work. I've never had any problems with it, and I've been using it for years.
All of a sudden, the last few days, Firefox crashes whenever I close the tab that my Greasemonkey script opens. This tab is just a simple local file, a flash alert beep that opens. When I close it, Firefox crashes. It's never done this before. I've had this version of Firefox on my computer for years, as I said, and it's only recently that this has started to happen.
I don't have Norton antivirus. I have Avast. I have disabled Avast's Web Reputation Plugin, in case it was that, but that didn't help.
Firefox 3.0.19 (Yes, it's an old build, but, again, as I said, I have had no problems with it.)

Hi, ideato. Thanks. I have tried updating before, but unfortunately any FF version beyond 3.x.x breaks my Greasemonkey script. And I know what you're saying, that my version is old, but the point is, it's been working perfectly on my machine for years. This problem has suddenly just appeared recently. So it isn't some old, unsupported bug, but a recent issue on my machine that I can't figure out.
If I could just know from the crash report if there's some conflict or the like that's causing this, then I could uninstall the offending program/process/add-on.

  • Why is there no 'safe mode' in my folder and how do i stop Firefox from unexpectedly crashing without it?

Firefox crashes anywhere from startup to shutdown and everywhere in between. Idling, surfing, downloading.. none of these appear specific to my crash. Crash data isn't yet in Canadian English, so i'm not much help there. Far as i can tell, it's apps or memory usage, but without 'safe mode' there is little i can do to get Firefox back to the great browser it once was.

  • Adobe flash player 11.8.800.94 crashes quite often, is there a solution?

The adobe flash player has always crashed for me on occasion, I attributed this simply to be a necessary evil.
However I recently upgraded to the new 11.8.800.94 and have noticed quite a few new quirks that are becoming quite irritating as time goes on and I was wondering if anyone has experienced these as well or know of any potential fixes.
I frequently have youtube videos open on one of my monitors and on the other a webcam chatting service, omegle and the like.
Here is where the issues begin, I will occasionally get a very noticable audio feedback in my headset. It does not happen every time I switch to speaking with someone else but it is often enough that I find it quite irritating.
The second issue I have is far more irritating however, what used to be a crash maybe once a day has become 20+ times a day.
I use Firefox and currently have ver. 22.0 of that browser, now I have not tested it on chrome or internet explorer because neither of those have the ad block capacity that I enjoy and I would prefer not to use another browser.
Has anyone else been experiencing similar problems?

I also have this sudden problem with Flash 11.8 that is crashes sometimes every some minutes on flash cam chat sites.
You should go to about:crashes in your browser and click the latest crashes and look, if you come to this kind of bug:

It's a top crasher for flash in FF22.
Right now while writing this, I have such flash chat crash.
Going back to Flash 11.7 from the archives helped me.
But I did this mistake to update again hoping for a fix.

I filed a bug for this crash as it has been reported on Mac machines and all of the comments are either printing a webpage or printing a print button.
If I may ask are you using File > Print or is there also a print icon?
Another question for investigation is do you have print_printer?
In order to change your Firefox Configuration please do the following steps :
    # In the [[Location bar autocomplete|Location bar]], type '''about:config''' and press '''Enter'''. The about:config "''This might void your warranty!''" warning page may appear.
    # Click '''I'll be careful, I promise!''' to continue to the about:config page.
#right click new > string and enter name : print_printer and for value : enter the name of your printer with without the quotes, then OK.
Please post back with the results. Thank you!

  • Firefox crashes on Windows 7 when printing to a Windows 7 network printer.

On Windows 7 running Firefox 3.6.10, I cannot print to a Windows 7 network printer. Firefox crashes every time as soon as I hit print.
However, the situation is very specific. I can print from Windows XP using Firefox 3.6.10 to a Windows 7 network printer. I can also print from Windows 7 using Firefox 3.6.10 to a Windows XP network printer. The only situation that doesn't work is using Firefox and printing from Windows 7 machine to Windows 7 machine.
Firefox is also the only program that does not print. I can print using Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, MS Word, MS Excel, and every other application just fine. Firefox is exclusive in that it is the only program that crashes and refuses to print. The drivers that are being used a PostScript drivers.
I have tried multiple versions of Firefox from older ones to the Firefox 4 beta and the program crashes every time.
Again, the only time it crashes is printing from a Windows 7 client computer to a Windows 7 network printer. Printing from XP to Windows 7 and from Windows 7 to XP works.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. The only program I've noticed the problem with is Firefox, so I'm assuming it's a problem at the application level.

  • I have updated everything there is to update on my computer (firefox and adobe) but yet I'm still getting a plugin crash report. What should I do now?

When I try to watch any TV episode (the one I am currently trying is ABC's Modern Family) on my computer it starts and within 5 seconds the screen shows up that says "Adobe Flash Plugin Has Crashed". I then send the crash report and reload the page only for the same thing to happen. I have gone to your Mozilla Plugin Check page and updated all the plugins. I also updated Firefox. I have updated everything that there is to update on my computer but yet I am still getting the crash page. The odd thing is that when I got to sites such as ABC the video in the upper corner plays with no problem. It is when I click on the episode that it says it has crashed.

  • Can't open Firefox 8.0. It crashes immediately.

I couldn't open Firefox. It would instantly crash - a window would flash and then I would see the Mozilla Crash Reporter . I restarted my computer. It continued to instantly crash.
I went online and downloaded the most recent version of Firefox. Just as it finished installing a window popped up with some kind of an error, I closed out of it and did not see the Mozilla Crash Reporter.
I un-installed Firefox. Went back to the website and downloaded and installed the latest version of Firefox again. This time it installed without problem, but still crashed instantly when I clicked to open it.
I couldn't test Firefox in safe mode because I couldn't access the top of the Firefox window, seeing how no window came up. Then I saw that you can start Firefox in safe mode by pressing shift and did that. The Firefox Safe Mode window popped up and I checked all the options ("Disable all add-ons", "Reset toolbars and controls", etc.) and clicked "Make Changes and Restart". The window closed and the Mozilla Crash Reporter popped up. I started Firefox in safe mode again and clicked "Continue in Safe Mode". Finally, the Firefox window came up!
Now if I could just get it to work outside of safe mode...

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.
If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.

  • Can someone please help with constant crashes ?

I've had a tremendous issue with crashes for the last 2 to 3 weeks. I tried'' all of the suggested steps'' with no change. I send the report every single time and no response. Is there anywhere else I can send some of the report id's to and have someone look at them to see if they can narrow down my issue. Usually it happens if I leave the browser open and step away for 5 minutes, when I come back it crashed. Usually Facebook is open, Words With Friends, Pogo...But it doesn't have to be these 3 that I have noticed. This morning it wouldn't even open at all, went straight to crash. It will also crash randomly when I'm using it as well. I have well over 50 crash reports dating from 1-5-2012 which is when it started to become frequent. Anyone that can, please advise ?????????

The Crash IDs as text are preferable to a screenshot.
It appears you are on the Beta channel but are still on version 10. The ordinary release channel itself is now on 10.0.2. Version 10 was crashing and had security issues that was why releases10.0.1 and 10.0.2 were released. I suggest you update to the latest release version from

  • Firefox keeps crashing, giving me an error report.

    Firefox used to never really crash on me, aside from the time when it would totally freeze my computer. This is the error I've been getting ;

Doesn't seem to matter what page i'm on, just decides to crash, and it does it several times in one day. Why does something always happen when you guys decide to do an update to make the browser "better"?

There is a bug report attached to your crash report that has been fixed in the current Nightly build (27.0a1).
