    Use netstat to see what's listening on port 80. Perhaps a web server or something?
    It looks like you're trying to start a server that's partially running already, so you will want to check what processes are running, too

  • Lync mobility and HTTP authentication test failed. Is reverse proxy required?

    I currently have the following setup.
    1 x 2013 edge server lync1.local.com
    has 3 dmz ips for external names
    has 1 internal ip
    2 x 2013 std front end servers lync2 & lync3.local.com
    Ive read that in 2013 the mobility service is installed automatically on the front end servers and i do see it running on both.
    All my clients can connect from the windows and mac clients(internally and externally) but not from phone or windows app store client (internally or externally)
    running the exchangeconnectivity test on the website i get the following error
    Testing HTTP authentication methods for URL https://lyncdiscover.external.com/Autodiscover/AutodiscoverService.svc/root/user.
      HTTP authentication test failed.
    Additional Details
    A Web exception occurred because an HTTP 404 - NotFound response was received from Unknown.
    HTTP Response Headers:
    X-MS-Server-Fqdn: lync1.local.com
    Connection: close
    Content-Length: 64
    Content-Type: text/plain

    Elapsed Time: 427 ms.
    After some reading I notice that many people refer to a reverse proxy when dealing with mobility.
    I do not have a reverse proxy server installed. Is this required for the mobility to work correctly? I cant just use the edge server?
    Thanks in advance for any help.

  • Cisco ACE Mod 30 - HTTPS probes are failing after hardware replacement.

    We recently had a hardware failure on ACE Mod30. The replacement went in relatively painless (except for having to import about 100 SSL Certificates and Private Keys).
    However, on the new ACE, the HTTPS probes are failing for all contexts using them. We can work around this by using TCP-443 probe, but the customer prefers that we actually request a logon page to ensure that the application is running properly.
    Here are the probe stats for one context (THIS ONE IS ACTIVE)
    BRTDCSCRTR2/INTRA-DEV-TST# sho stats probe type https

    Everything else appears to be working properly, except for the HTTPS probes.

    Hi,
    For HTTS Probes to be successful, you don't need to have SSL Certs/Private keys on ACE, unless servers are doing client authentication. When ACE sends HTTS Probes to servers, it acts as a client.
    Here are few things that can be tried:
    - Test HTTS probe with only one server. Reload the server to clear any SSL cache on it.
    - check SSL probe detail to verify the error code received
    - Take captures between ACE and that server to find at what stage of the probe packet exchange flow is failing.
    Here is a good link to troubleshoot HTTPS probe issues:

  • Is pulseaudio broken? (main.c: daemon startup failed)

    Hi everyone, i just followed the wiki, and didn't manage to get pulse working.
    Just wondering, is it broken?
    I can't get it to work in rc script, i get ' E: main.c: daemon startup failed.',
    tried to comment the out .failed, in /etc/pulse/default.pa as suggested on the wiki, but it didn't help.
    I ignored the messege as someone said on the fourm it works anyway, and didn't see it on gnome's mixer.
    I tried to use abs, but it seems to be broken too.
    So, how did you get your pulseaudio working?
    Thanks in advance.

    Ok, i just built it from abs and got an error, then, i realized i had double values for the same config in pulseaudio conf.
    Anyways, i'm not sure if that was because a broken package, or it was wrong configured from the first place.
    Now it works good anyway..

  • SOAP Adapter XI 3.0 - HTTP 200 response fails

    We have a scenario where a request message is sent successfully to a URL by the SOAP Adapter.
    However, the response message has an HTTP response of 200 (meaning ok) which is not handled correctly by the
    SOAP Adapter.
    The error text shown in SXMB_MONI is:
    com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.DeliveryException: Failed to call the endpoint HTTP 200 OK
    Is there something I am missing in the configuration to allow HTTP responses in the SOAP Adapter ? It is very odd that the SOAP Request works fine, but the SOAP Response does not.
    Any ideas anyone ?

    Hi,
    Have the credentials been set for the web service? Or are you trying to pass the credentials of the user accessing the webpart? In the second case, the user must have permissions in project server
    It would be useful if you can share the part of the code that fails

    You appear to have empty catch blocks. Which means you don't get the error message that would tell you what is failing.
    Put in code that logs the exception and the stack trace of the exception. If you can't figure out the error message, post it here.
    You should be closing streams in finally statements. Otherwise they might not get closed when there is an error -> you leak descriptors -> you run out of descriptors -> every stream open will fail -> more errors -> more descriptors get leaked -> etc -> everything stops working. Always do it like this:
        WhateverStream out = null;
        try {
            out = ...;
            ...use out...;
        } finally {
            try {
                if (out != null) out.close();
           } catch (IOException e) { ...log it... }
        }

  • HTTP Receive location failing to in BizTalk

    Hi All,
    BizTalk application receives request from external vendor using HTTP Receive location which uses HTTPReceive.dll
    2 servers A and B in the production performing well, but it fails from yesterday. Could see request coming through the IIS in the IIS log, but it is not reaching to biztalk application.
    I have tried these steps in both A and B machines
    1. restart the biztalk app
    2. restart the application pool of the website that connects this app
    3. reset iis in the machines
    How a request from IIS is routed to machines, I can't understand which machine handles the request, currently it reaches machine B, I could see previous IIS log where it processed successfully in machine A IIS log.
    I could see error 500 in machine B IIS log for each request that comes in but cannot make it to BizTalk app
    No error log in the event viewer of A and B BizTalk servers.
    Can anyone guide me how to resolve it?
    Regards
    Vivek

    Hi Vivek,
    If you get HTTP-500 error you will have eventlog entries, not just in IIS logs.
    "How a request from IIS is routed to machines, I can't understand which machine handles the request, currently it
    reaches machine B, I could see previous IIS log where it processed successfully in machine A IIS log." -
    IIS would route to BizTalk machines, only if you have separate servers as webserver(IIS) and BizTalk. If IIS is host in the same servers as BizTalk, then when the IIS receive the message,
    it would route to its standalone internal BizTalk server. The routing to different machines is due to the loadbalancer. Your statement is bit contradictory. I assume your IIS is local to the BizTalk servers. So when the client send the message to HTTPReceive.dll,
    the url is bound to loadbalacer, which based on its load balancer logic route the message to anyone of the BizTalk server's IIS (machine A and machine B) hence you see two different IIS logs in machine A and machine B.
    Many Load-balancers, I have seen work with a unique logic where they send the requests primary to one server always and only if that primary server is busy (or not available) then it would
    send it to other server. May be load-balancer have been sending its request to mahicne-A until recently and may be due to some reasons its sending the request to machine-B now. The reason machine-B may not be working now, could be because it was never configured
    properly before and when machine-B start to receive the message, it gives error(as load-balancer request are always handled by machine-A before). To prove this, stop IIS in machine-B and see machine-A receive the message.
    For this HTTP-500 error, check the HTTPReceive.dll is configured correctly. Check the following articles for configuration:

  • HTTP trigger - Calling failed - 9.0.2.10000-71

    Hi,
    I have created a HTTP trigger in Premium licensed UCCX server (9.0.2.10000-71). When I try to call the URL from java application I am getting HTTP error code as “404”. However HTTP trigger calling is working fine in the servers with the version of 8.5.1.11004-25 and 9.0.2.11001-24.
    Do I need to run any patch for the fix?  Please provide suggestion to fix it.
    Thanks
    Rammipriya

    Hi,
    there are multiple issues with this whole setup:
    1. You are getting a 404 status because this script does not return anything. Not a single byte of information. You should probably use a Send HTTP Response step with at least a plain text message.
    2. You cannot use anything from the sun.* packages. There is no exception from this rule. If you were in my team, for writing such code you would be thrown out without any questions asked.
    3. Although I see the point of this application (collect all files from the local file directory referenced by sysprop "uccx.customer.dir" I would not choose a slow and cumbersome protocol like FTP. I mean, if it's already a HTTP application, it would be a lot easier to get the files from the directory, zip them up (remember, both java.util.zip.GZIPOutputStream and java.util.zip.ZipOutputStream are available in JRE at least since 5.0) and send the zipped files over the already established HTTP connection. Fast and easy.
