Http link to activity or opportunity in the workflow email message

Hello All,
I created a custom checkbox in task screen. When new task is created and checkbox is checked send email to the user.
in email body I would like to include the http link so that when user click on the link directly goto Activity/Task or atleast opportunity.

I'm not sure about an Opty link as you are on the Task record for the trigger but try this:
This is a link to an Opty record on the DSA pod:

To reuse this for any other record type or another system do the following:
Open a record that you want to link to i.e. SR for DSA Demo and you get this URL at the top
https://secure-ausomxdsa.crmondemand.com/OnDemand/user/ServiceRequestDetail?ServiceRequestDetailForm.Id=HU15-NT8Q&OMTGT=ServiceRequestDetailForm&OMTHD=ServiceRequestDetailNav&OMRET0=ServiceRequestHomepage&OCTYPE=Other&ocTitleField=Abstract&ocTitle=Send+copy+of+Annual+Report&ocEdit=Y
As you can see the URL starts the same except it references ServiceRequestDetail instead of Opty detail.
From the OnDemand screen copy everything from http:// to ServiceRequestDetail? ServiceRequestDetailFormID= and paste it into your workflow email.
Click the Fx button and add the Row ID.
Voila you now have a link in an email that will open the record that triggered the workflow.

  • Formatting the mail content in the workflow email

    Hi,
    In a workflow i am displaying a currency value.I want to format the currency value in the output. For eg: currently in the workflow email a value is displayed as 20000.0000 but i want it to display as 20,000.00 .
            I have written the code in the method of the business object where i fetch this value such that the value is changed to the required format and is placed in the container element. The value of this container element is then displyed in the mail body.
    I checked and the value does change to the required format and it is placed in the container element also in the required format(i.e 20,000.00)  But only in the email output the formatting is lost and  it is displayed in the original format(i.e 20000.0000).
    Is there any other way to format the output of the currency field. I tried changing the data type to a character string but then the comma does not appear on the output.

    Hi,
    amount = 20000.0000
    mail_amount is the variable that you'll use in mail body
    p_curr is the  currency you'll use.
    WRITE amount TO mail_amount CURRENCY p_curr RIGHT-JUSTIFIED.

  • Sending the same email message several times to contacts.  Turned off iCloud, but still sending message.

    Sending the same email message several times to contacts.  Turned off iCloud, but still sending message. 
    A user had synced all of his contacts from his computer and iPhone to his iCloud.  Today, his iCloud sent out the same message 20 times to all recipients.  We were able to transfer all calendar items and contacts back to his pc and then disable iCloud.  However, it still sent out the messages.  Any ideas?

    It's a carrier issue. I have AT&T and had this issue with my friend (who had an Android) and my mother (who had a feature phone). Both of them have Verizon for service and I'm thinking the issue was on Verizon's end. They both just dealt with it as we tried all sorts of things to get this sorted out (other than contacting Verizon directly) and had no luck.
    They've both switched to iPhones so it's a moot point for us now, at least.

    Can anyone tell me how I inset my signature automatically into the new email message?  I have put in signatures to my preferences as told to, but they are not apprearing in my pop up signature in the new message.

    If you're sure you have added the signature to the account in the Signatures tab of the Mail preferences window, quit and relaunch Mail.

  • Add 'soft link' of a shared file in the body of message.

    I want to know if there is a way to hyperlink a shared file which is on a server and add it in the body of message rather than sending that whole file as an attachment. So that when the recipeint receives the e-mail, he/she can just click on the link and that particular file will open.
    I hope my question is clear enough. I need your expert opinion in this matter. Is this do-able or am I crazy?

    I tried doing the same thing. I guess I am doing something wrong.
    I have a webserver and folder named projects under webserver. I want to access a file from the projects folder. Hence my absolute file path looks something like this:
    \\Web_Server\web_server\projects\bci.doc . How can I make this path as URL? I understand that if I have any internet website or any ip address, I can hyperlink it. But I am not sure, how can I hyperlink a file path such as this.
    I have tried the following code in the javamail:
    String tempFileName ="Web_server/WEB_SERVER/Projects/BCI.doc";
    </font>";
    This did not help me.

  • I keep getting repeated downloads of the same email messages

    I keep getting repeated download of the same emails sometimes within seconds of each other. I have to switch off my email to stop it. Has anyone a solution? It only happens on my Apple devices and not on my PC.

    They would say that, wouldn't they.   How do they know yours isn't the first of many?  Are you with Yahoo; they tend to have these problems.

  • Blackberry 8520 keeps repeatedly downloading the same email messages and facebook notifications

    My Blackberry 8520 has all of a sudden started downloading the same email addresses and facebook notifications, that I have already read, I tried deleting them totally and also deleted from my computer inbox, but it just downloaded the next lot in my inbox repeatedly instead.  Sometimes it says I have 50 unread messages, which is the same 7 or 8 messages over and over again, showing as unread. 
    I have rebooted device several times and don't know what else to do now, can anyone help please?

    Hi and welcome to the forums!
    Have you changed the settings for messages on your account on the providers website?
    (Gmail, Yahoo, etc.)
    If that's not it try the following:
    Go to options advanced options, Host Routing Tables, click to enter. DO NOT click on any listing.
    Press menu key, and select register now.
    You will get a verification message. Then go to email settings and send service books.
    I would suggest  logging into the carriers BIS site via PC if you can.
    You will get an email per account. Repeat the battery pull and see if the problem is
    resolved.

  • How do I print the complete email message that contains a conversation?

    When printing an email that has a thread or conversation only the most recent of the threads is printed.
    When I select the email to print, I click the "see more from" to preview the full conversation.
    I have downloaded the Mail app update just released. I am printing to an HP Officejet Pro 8500 printer.
    This problem occurs on both my MBA mid 2011 and iMac late 2012, runing Mavericks.
    I have also noted that if I use the export to pdf, from the Mail, File menu it creates the same type of output. that is only the most recent email is in the pdf.
    This was not a problem with earlier versions of OS X

    Just discovered that if you uncheck the "Orginize by Conversation" in the view menu, the most recent message will show the complete conversation. Which you can then print or export to pdf.
    This is not a global setting, as each folder seems to retain its unique setting.
    This behavior is completely different than previous versions of OS X's Mac Mail.

  • Extra header appearing in the Workflow emails sent

    We are getting some extra header message in the email notifications which are sent by the workflow mailer.
    This extra header message is only visible in the email notification which is sent to the concerned person via internet.
    When we try to see this same message from the workflow screens, Then this extra header information is absent.
    We are confused about this irregular behaviour .

    I tried removing that response message from the message template.. Now it is giving an error, no messages are being sent..
    Is is possible that I can attach the FYI template for the response template, i.e. change the default message template associated with that process.
    The reason being that we dont want the user to respond from the message but from the screen, hence we want to remove that response part from the message.. so can we use the FYI template for a response message?

    Hi,
    I'd rather not have the message "Russ Conte has invited you to ..." as the message that is sent out for each invitation. Is there a way to change that without having to go in and change every single time it is used? Is there a preference for the text that is used, so I can edit it to be what I want?
    I'm using iCal 2.0.5
    Mac OS X 10.4.11
    MacBook Pro 2.33 GHZ, 2 MB RAM
    Any help or advice is most appreciated.

    At your own risk ...
    Ctrl-click on the iCal.app file in Applications and select Show Package Contents. Locate the English.lproj folder in the Resources folder of the Contents. Find file ITIP.strings and make a duplicate (so we can restore if things go badly). Open ITIP.strings with a text editor (BBEdit, TextEdit or whatever you use yourself). Scroll down to find

    The text that is used (and that you can change) is the text to the right of the "=". You may need to restart iCal after saving any changes. It is quite possible that your changes, if they work, will not survive software updates.

  • I downloaded Yahoo mail and have had nothing but trouble. If i reply to an email, the original email message goes away and I need it, it is my business.

    If I reply to an email instead of composing a new one, the original message is gone. It is my business. Yahoo mail then will not just the original message, it has all the conversations between me and my customer.
    Further, yahoo made itself my default browser. My default has been mozilla firefox for many years but i cannot even pull up firefox anymore.
    I am about to quit yahoo and go through the inconvenience of having all my customers change my name again. I have a mac, did the preferences to identify firefox as default but yahoo is still there
    I HATE YAHOO--I was just going to use their email for my business because I started receiving so much spam on my Mac mail.

    You should be able to switch your Firefox settings to your preferred home page and search engine. For example, this extension will restore Google as your search engine, the built-in home page as your home page, and the normal "new tab" page: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/searchreset/
    But you also need to check for any Yahoo-specific add-ons that could keep driving your settings back to Yahoo. You can do that on the Add-ons page. Either:
    * Command+Shift+a
    * "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
    In the left column, click Extensions. Then review that list for anything Yahoo-related, unrecognized, or nonessential and disable those.

    I got a requirement. I've created a SharePoint Designer 2010 workflow which will trigger an email. The sender of that email is default. I need to change the sender of email to some user's email address like [email protected]
    Can this be possible using SPD 2010. Please suggest.

    not out-of-the-box.
    you would need to find a third party add-on to send the email. The SPDActivities codeplex project includes some email options that include specifying a sender, but focus on attachments... not sure what would happen if there was no attachment.

  • Create filter from the actual email-message?

    Hello everyone! I keep gettnig LOADS of spam from different user emails different subjects etc.
    I would like to create a filter that searches the actual message for a word. I thought "body" did that but appearently it doest.
    For example, i want to filter out all the emails mentioning "free" and "Casino" INSIDE the message.
    Or russian letters. Any ideas?

    From the main menu bar: Message - Create Filter from Message<br>
    In the windows which opens enter a name for your new filter.<br>
    Select 'Body' from the top left drop down-menu.<br>
    Select 'Contains' from the drop-down menu right next to it.<br>
    Enter the search word into the text box.<br>
    Choose an action from the bottom left drop-down menu.<br>
    Save the filter and activate it.

    The pop up you are telling about is the persona verification so just type your email id in the blank space provided and click the link next to that your id will get verified.
