HTTP mail using MSN.  How do you send?

When logged into my MSN mail on the 3G using Safari I can read my mail but I can't seem to be able to find wher on the page I can create/attach files or send new e-mails. Any other MSN users out there that have figured this out?

Hey hassiman,
I don't have a MSN/Hotmail account but there are a few work-arounds other users have used to add that http email account to the iPhone.

Add the names to a group created in address book. When you send a message, type the group name in the TO, CC, or BCC  field of a new message.
Note: group messaging is not supported on the iPad or iPhone.

If you are referring to a different provider, check with them - every ISP has limits (to deter spammers mostly).

Wikipedia has an entry on that protocol...

OK, I don't know that is true and you probably guessed it, but I'm not a big fan of the Wikipedia concept, but that doesn't matter as long as you understand that the information contained within Wikipedia is not vetted in any traditional way. And yes, I do use Wikipedia occasionally as a resource but I do it knowing that accuracy of the information is always in question.
Probably doesn't need discussing in this forum, but if you are curious, there was on interesting discussion about Wikipedia here:

  • After using media from iCloud on a MacBook , how do you send the media back onto the cloud so the media is stored there and not in my MacBook?

After downloading media from iCloud and watching/listening to it, how do you send it back to the iCloud for storing it rather than leave it in my MacBook?

Apps, music, books, tv shows, movies and music videos are already in iCloud.  All you need to do is delete them from your Mac and you can download them again in the future as explained here: Download past purchases.  (This is not available for audiobooks, ringtones or tones.)  However, to download them again they still have to be available in the iTunes, iBooks and App stores, and the copyright owner has to allow it.  To avoid the risk of them not being available in the future, keep them in your iTunes library.

  • How do you send an attachment via email created on a mac

how do you send an attachment via email to another recipient who does not have a mac?

As long as you send it in a recognizable format such as a .jpeg (or .jpg) used for most photos/images or .pdf used for a lot of word processing docs, there is no problem. Also, while in the Mail window, choose "send Windows compatible". It's not who or what you create it on, it is the format you send it in.

Shootist007, I think Cdf15 wants each recipient to see his/her own email address.
Cdf15, you can't quite do what you asked with Mail alone, but you can come close with a slight variant of what Shootist007 recommended. Just put a dummy address (perhars the sender's) in the To field and all recipient addresses in the Bcc field. That way, no recipient sees either the other recipients' addresses or their own.

How do you send a imessage to ipad from iphone

The iPad must have iMessage registered and enabled, and you need to address the iMessage to an email address that is set up and selected to be used with iMessage on the iPad. If the iPad owner also has an iPhone, an iMessage can be addressed to the iPhone's cell phone number if the iPad owner has their iPhone number selected to be reached at with iMessage on the iPad.

  • How do you send pics from iPad?

How do you send pics from iPad? I've tried to use the photos icon at the bottom, select the pics, and enter the email address. Problem is they never show up in the email. Any thoughts? I've also tried Pages app and a few others with the same result.

I discussed the problem with Melissa at Apple. We tried reset, then we found about 50 attempts to email pics from Photos, stuck in Outbox. Deleted all of them, and we were able to send pic from Photos. Next day the problem was back, and emptying Outbox does not fix. Have not tried renewing account yet, worried about losing Inbox stuff.

Other than selecting each of the contacts individually, in the native Mail app, you can't. You'll need to explore third party mail apps from the app store for that.
