HTTP Receiver adaptor and query string posting

What woudl be the configuration of HTTP receiver adaptor in this kind of situation. I added some strings to the Prologue section of the receiver adapter but does not seem to work.
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2005/helpdata/en/44/79973cc73af456e10000000a114084/content.htm
I just need to ge the XML body in cmxl = {whole xml body}
does not work..any help would be highly appreciated

Hi,
Pls try this...
the value in the prologue field should be...
prologue : "field1=val1&field2=val2&cxml="
the http body is created by appending prologue with the xml payload and the epilog(if present)...
also pls make sure that the content-type set in the adapter is correct for your scenario...for example "application/x-www-form-urlencoded" would be the appropriate type for a normal html form post using http.
Thanks & Regards,
Renjith

  • HTTP Sender Adapter - URL / Query String - Posting problems ?

    Hi All,
    Scenario: Partner sending order request via HTTP adapter to XI
    I have configured my scenario and this is a sample URL I gave to Partner but when they try to post, they get "Connection Failed" error.
    http://server.cmpny.com:1234/send/test/message?
    service=Send_Order
    &namespace=urn%3Asap-com%3Adocument%3Asap%3Aidoc%3Amessages
    &interface=ORDERS.ORDERS05
    &party=ABC&qos=EO/
    Party Name : ABC
    Service : Send_Order:
    Interface: ORDERS.ORDERS05
    Namespace: urn:sap-com:document:sap:idoc:messages
    This partner has been "successfully" exchanging data for other messages using the same hostname/userid/passwd, so is there any problem my URL encoding ?
    Any help is appreciated
    Bob

    Hey
    i m not sure how u generated the URL for the scenario but the best approach would be to use the following HTTP test tool for it
    /message/266750#266750 [original link is broken]
    just use the code given by Mr.Stefan Grube .
    secondly instead of host name ,give the IP address of the XI server.
    Thanx

  • Action and Query-String in HTTP Adapter

    Hi,
    I am doing an IDOC -> SAP PI -> HTTP scenario
    HTTP application is external party (using Party).
    I have to build the URL Dynamically; so I use Dynamic Configuration in Message Mapping.
    The URL format (from help.sap.com) is http://<hostname:port>/<path>?<query-string>
    Hostname and port are know to me.
    From where will I get information about path and query-string , are they mandatory?
    help.sap.com has given details about sender HTTP: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi711/helpdata/en/44/8f54b8b01e3673e10000000a114a6b/content.htm but i want to know about receiver HTTP.
    Is there any example available?
    Thank you,
    Pankaj.

    > So I have to ask the External Parties to send the message (to SAP PI) to the URL (http://hostname:port/<action>?<query-string>)?
    When you replace the varaibles, yes.
    > Any idea about my original question (about action and query-string in receiver channel's URL) or should I use a RFC destination there (now it will be Type G I suppose)
    Just put the URL of the receiver.
    > There is SSL configuration also between External Parties and SAP PI (if this information is required).
    In that case, you put a URL with https://..

  • HTTP receiver adaptor

    Hi all,
       I am using HTTP receiver adaptor to connect to an external system.Here I have to pass an Idoc from SAP to one folder in the target host where the application is installed.
         My question is without using FTP adaptor(only with HTTP) can i send this Idoc to The folder in the target?
    If yes , What should i give the "path" field in Receiver HTTP adapter? I tried giving the folder name, but it was throwign an error 400.
         I created connection G in XI.I put some xml file (KK.xml) as path  there and tested the connection it was working fine. Could you please help me out with this?
    Thanks
    Kiran

    Hi Kiran,
    You are talking about saving a file in the target director using HTTP Receiver adapter... As per my knowledge it is not possible in a straight fwd. The target should be a web application (obviously) which should recieve the data/xml that HTTP adapter is sending and then should save it in the respective directory. XI HTTP adapter will not do that job for sure. When you use HTTP adapter in XI its job is to deliver the message to the given URL thats it. If XI need to save it as a file then its thru File NFS/FTP.
    FYI :
    HTTP - Hyper Text Transfer Protocol
    This can carry only texts but not a file
    FTP  - File Transfer Protocol
    This is used for transfering files.
    If HTTP is mandatory in your scenarion, then then a wep programming to be done at the target end (ASP/ASP.NET/JSP/Servlets/etc..)
    Thanks,
    Prakash

  • HTTPS Receiver Adapter with POST and query String

    Hi there,
    we are currently running a http connection with an external partner. We use the plain http adapter to send documents.
    Now we want to secure the whole thing and switch to https.
    Currently we solely use the comm. channel in the directory. In the URL we include the required query string (http:/xxx/yyy<b>?msgtype=order</b>)
    As I understand, the only way to use httpS is to use a RFC Dest. Type G in sm59.
    But I am not able to add a query to the url there.
    I guess that it is not an option to ask our partner to search the posted document for parameters. We were already happy that they were able to do it like we have it.
    Does anyone has an idea how we could include a query in the url or give somehow the partner explicitly the info about the message type we send?
    Thanks in advance,
    Helge

    Hi Helge,
    as far as I know this should be possible with SP16 by using the settings in the adapter configuration.
    We had this requirement, but with SP15 it isn´t possible.
    Have a look on the documentation
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/14/80243b4a66ae0ce10000000a11402f/frameset.htm
    Chapter Adapter-Specific Message Attributes
    There you can use up to 6 URL Parameters. I never used it, if you have SP16, try it.

  • UiXML and query string parameters

    Is there a simple way to access a query string parameter within the destination page?
    Example:
    - in my source page I have something like:
    <link text="My page destination"
    destination="page?param1=value1" />
    What I want is to be able to acces directly to the param1 within page.uix without handling events or writing any kind of java code.
    I have tried to use ctrl:page, ctrl:eventResult or ctrl:servletRequest without success (thought it was not the right thing to do but gave it a try anyway).
    As i understand (?) the doc query string parameters are event parameters:
    - does it mean we can only deal with query string parameters in an event handler?
    Oscar

    Hi Oscar -
    As i understand (?) the doc query string parameters are event parameters:
    - does it mean we can only deal with query string parameters in an event handler? Right. The UIX Controller allows you to pass data to a new page using URL parameters in one of two ways: as event parameters - in which case you need to have a corresponding event handler - or as page properties. So, the built-in data providers that are supported by the UIX Controller (ctrl:page, ctrl:eventResult) are designed for supporting these two mechanisms.
    If you do not want to write an event handler, then you could consider using page properties to pass your parameters. The following link shows how to use the pageURL bound value to construct a destination which includes a single page property:
    <link text="Go to target page" xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/uix/ui">
    <boundAttribute name="destination">
    <pageURL name="targetPage" xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/uix/controller">
    <properties>
    <property key="prop1" value="value1"/>
    </properties>
    </pageURL>
    </boundAttribute>
    </link>
    And the following sample shows how to bind to the same property:
    <styledText data:text="prop1@ctrl:page"/>

  • Another bug in Flex? (Application.parameters and query strings)

    I'm passing in two query string parameters in the source of SWFLoader and both of them are clumped together in the first parameter by application.parameters.
    But I switch the order of the parameters in the query string and both parameters are returned correctly:
    Case #1:
    Query String:  ?cfg=zzzzzzz54B&embed_div=x
    parameters.cfg: zzzzzzz54B&embed_div=x
    parameters.embed_div:  [nothing]
    Case #2:
    Query String:  ?embed_div=x&cfg=zzzzzzz54B
    parameters.cfg: zzzzzzz54B
    parameters.embed_div: x
    Here is the actual debug commands:
    Dumper.info(this.url);
    Dumper.info(this.parameters.cfg)
    Dumper.info(this.parameters.embed_div);
    And output:
    (Case #1)
    [INFO]: file:///C:/Program%20Files/WordRad234/chm/wordrad_kt/web%20pages/zzzzzzz5/rad_3xf.swf?cfg =zzzzzzz54B%26embed_div%3Dx (String)
    [INFO]: zzzzzzz54B&embed_div=x (String)
    [INFO]: (Object)
    (Case #2)
    [INFO]: file:///C:/Program%20Files/WordRad234/chm/wordrad_kt/web%20pages/zzzzzzz5/rad_3xf.swf?emb ed_div=x&cfg=zzzzzzz54B (String)
    [INFO]: zzzzzzz54B (String)
    [INFO]: x (String)
    Something I just noticed: the equal sign after embed_div is replaced by %3D but only if embed_div comes last.

    NEVERMIND:
    It was something I was doing  to the source of SWFLoader beforehand (involving encodeURIComponent).
    I have to say, I have many, many times thought something was a bug in Flex and it was in fact my code.  In general, I think Flex/AS3 is an elegant and useful product.  The sort of ad hoc  tweaks that have to be done to avoid memory leaks though is ridiculous (though I do have that figured out pretty much as well.)

    1. I can't understand the line of code that you just gave

  • HTTP sender adapter and receiver adapter

    Hi guys,
    I have a scenario that I have to communicate with an HTTP server with XML over HTTP.
    When the communication is opened by me I will use an HTTP receiver adapter and give the connection parameters.
    a) Do I have to use a different HTTP receiver communication channel for each different type of XML that I want to send??
    b) When the communication is opened from the HTTP server, they have to type the URL in order to invoke the correct scenario on my side, right? I know that I do not have to use an HTTP sender adapter. They have to call the http URL, followed by the sender business system, sender interface name/namespace etc.
    That means that the URL in the format: http://XIhostname:port/ is not enough right?
    Is there a way to figure out from the type of the XML sent which scenario will be executed in XI?
    Because it is difficult for them to use different URL when they are sending me different type of XML's, i.e. different requests.
    Evaggelos

    >>Do I have to use a different HTTP receiver communication channel for each different type of XML that I want to send??
    Yes,receiver adapter is linked to receiver agreement,if you have different inbound interfaces then it means you need to have diferrent receiver agreement,hence different receiver communication channels.
    >>That means that the URL in the format: http://XIhostname:port/ is not enough right?
    No,its not,there is a test tool on SDN called "HTTP test tool".just search for that and download on your desktop,it will help you generate the correct URL as well as test the scenario by sending sample HTTP request.
    One thing you need to keep in mind is that HTTP scenarios don't require and sender communication channel or sender agreement.they only need configurations on receiver side
    Thanx

  • Example to use Query String in Oracle Access Manager Policy.

    Hi All,
    Can any one please tell me what is the use of Query String and Query String Variable in OAM Policy?
    If possible please explain with a sample example.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Siva Pokuri.

    Query string is used to protect URL with complete query string.
    Ex: in case you want to protect http://hi.com/first.html?uid=abc&pqr=123 URL then you will specify query string as uid=abc&pqr=123.
    In case you want to protect a URL with one of the query parameter as xyz and you do not care of other query parameters, then query string variables are used.
    Ex: in case you want to protect http://hi.com/first.html?uid=abc&pqr=123 and http://hi.com/first.html?uid=abc&pqr=456 both with same policy then you will create a policy to protect first.html and in query string variables you will specify uid=abc.
    Let me know if you have any problems in understanding this.
    Thanks

  • Handling korean charset  in Query string

    I'm testing final release of S1AS7 SE.
    When a query string is urlencoded, parameter value using korean charset was properly processed.
    When not urlencoded, parameter value using korean charset was broken. Though Tomcat4 returns correct value.
    S1AS and Tomcat returned different Query length. Yes, S1AS returned incorrect length.
    It seems that NSAPIConnector fails to handle http request correctly when query string contains korean characters.

    use static sql whereever possible (not tested).

  • Parameter in HTTP receiver adapter

    Hey
    My requirements are:
    I am sending an XML to an external system. Documentation says: "XML should be in a parameter in your request called 'xmlInput'".
    How do I actually put my XML in this parameter? Does this have anything to do with the URL Parameters in comm channel configuration?
    I have configured a client proxy, http receiver adapter and a communication channel in sm59 and they work OK, but it seems as I don't send the XML in this parameter.
    Appreciate your help!
    regards Ole

    Hey!
    Thanks for your answers.
    Nana, are you sure of this, that java proxy is the only way I can put the XML in a parameter? I only need to confirm this because there is no place in their documentation that this is stated explicitly, I have only been told this via their technical person...:)
    I agree that this is a limitation of the receiving system, and I know that this system is not up to date as I can tell from what they are saying and their documentation.
    regards Ole
