HTTP Sender Problem
Hello,
We have an HTTP => XI => R3 scenario.
Using the http client tool we can successfully send a request to XI.
When the url
http://<server>:<port>/sap/xi/adapter_plain?namespace=urn%3A%2FTransactionDataSAPInbound&interface=MI%2DRequest&service=GRM%2DPOS&party=&agency=&scheme=&QOS=EO&sap-user=xiappluser&sap-password=<pswwd>&sap-client=100&sap-language=EN
is used by sender application we get an
"Call of URL http://sapxi1:8000/sap/xi/adapter_plain terminated due to error in logon data
HTTP 401 - Unauthorized error"
Thanks
Dimitris
Hi,
1. open transaction SICF in XI
2. find service adapter_plain
3.open it
4. open logon tab and put user and pass there

HTTP Sender Adapter Strange Problem After SP16 Patch!!!
Hi,
after upgrading to XI SP 16 I'm no longer able to create HTTP Sender Adapter based Communication Channels. I can create a Receiver Adapter but no Sender since the Sender button is greyed out in the UI. Does anybody have an Idea what could be the problem here?
Kind regards,
HeikoHI Heiko,
As stated by bhavesh you cant have a sender http adapter, infact there is no need to have it.
If you want topost message to the integration engine using http protocol,you can directly send the xml message to the pipeline url of the integration engine.

I need help with an email WiFi sending problem on my iPad 2
I’m having an email WiFi sending problem on my iPad 2 Model: MC774C/A; IOS VERSION: 6.1.3 (10B329).
While I use 4 email accounts on the iPad -- Hotmail, Gmail, iCloud and ns.sympatico.ca ( a division of BellAliant) – the sending difficulty only relates to the ns.sympatico.ca. The settings for this account are: pop.bellaliant.net and smtp.bellaliant.net
I first noticed the problem about 3 weeks ago while travelling across the country (Canada). (I do recall about that time there was an update of my IOS and I also for my wife purchased from the Bell store an iPhone which shares my Apple account.) Prior to that everything worked well for a couple of years.
I noticed earlier this month that the iPad received mail fine but would not send at night using the motels’ WiFi. During the day, using my 3G account, all worked fine. I phoned Bell but was told that my experience was normal so I thought no more about it until I returned home and found the same problem at the house. I called Bell again and worked for 2 hours with 3 Bell technicians who succeeded in getting the iPad to neither send nor receive and gave up advising me to take the iPad into a Bell store to have it looked at. I did that and the young technician got the iPad sending and receiving by changing the smtp.bellaliant.net to mail.1xbell.ca
However, when I returned home again, I realized that it was working on my 3G and still doesn’t send on my WiFi
I’m looking for any suggestions that might solve this annoying problem?iOS: Unable to send or receive email

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

File Content Conversion: Sender Problem
Hi,
I'm getting a very typical error in my Sender Communciation channel.
Channel CC_FILE_SENDER_2: Empty document found. Proceed without sending message
I've gone through a few threads and I know that the problem is with the Key Field and using * in the Recordset Structure but I cannot solve it. If I use * in the Recordset structure it fails,when I use a specific number it works. Any ideas
Here is my Communication Channel details
Document Name: MT_SENDER
Document namespace: http:\\sender
Recordset Structure: FileHeaderRecord1,1,FileHeaderRecord2,1,FileHeaderRecord3,1,FileDetailRecord,*,FileTrailerRecord1,1
Recordset Sequence: Ascending
Key Field Name: RType
And the configuration:
FileHeaderRecord1.fieldNames: RType,Filler,Code,Filler2
FileHeaderRecord1.fieldFixedLengths: 10,31,6,69
FileHeaderRecord1.keyFieldValue: V
FileHeaderRecord2.fieldNames: RType,Filler
FileHeaderRecord2.fieldFixedLengths: 3,113
FileHeaderRecord2.keyFieldValue: HDR1
FileHeaderRecord2.fieldNames: RType,Filler,Date,File,Filler2,Num,Filler3

85208681123787085 000000000000600FREW RTYU POSWS123705671 09452Hi,
problem is in your keyfield value,
FileHeaderRecord1.fieldNames: RType,Filler,Code,Filler2
FileHeaderRecord1.fieldFixedLengths: 10,31,6,69
FileHeaderRecord1.keyFieldValue: V
keyfield name is RType and it is given a fixedlength of 10 characters, but your keyfieldvalue is "V
" which is not 10 char long that is the reason your adapter is failing to pick it.
same for all the other recordsets, the fieldvalue shd match the fixed length given.
Eg:- give keyfieldvalue like this "V ". it will work. -
Hi,
We're getting a 401 error message from a Trading Partner (TP). They say there is no password required to get to their website. From their end, the request doesn't send a certificate with it. The TP certificate has 2048 keysize, while the wallet and our other TPs have 1024 keysize.
Could the problem be with the transport endpoint or the TP certificate?
Here is the error from the b2b.log:

Thankyou,
LavarWhen I telnet to the host, I get (Connection to tp.com closed by foreign host.
I went to the TP URL and save the certificate as Base 64. I then loaded that into my wallet as a Trusted Certificate.
I see TP.com in the wallet as a Trusted Certificate with an expiration date of July 28, 2010 and Key Size 2048.
We still get the same 401 error message. The TP is saying that we are not receiving a certificate on their end. I guess that means there is a problem with encoding and encryption.
I loaded the TP Verisign certificate into my browser as a CA Root.
Now I get a pop up box, when I go to the website that wants me to choose a digital certificate.
There are not any digital certificates to choose from, so I can only click OK or Cancel.
After clicking OK or Cancel, I get prompted for a password.
There seems to be trust isses between our server and the TP's server. :)
I asked the trading partner to send me their Root certificate, in case they have a different Verisign certificate.
Thank you,

[HTTP Sender]How to send different XML using static URL
Hi all,
I have a problem, my legacy system send XML messages to SAP XI by HTTP, I know that I need to use HTTP Sender adapter, the problem is that legacy system support only a static URL. I have more than one interface, how could I fix this problem?
Can I send the XML message to SAP XI without define INTERFACE on URL? How can I handle this?
Thank in advance,
Daniel TorresHi Srinivas,
The legacy system is a java application, that send XML messages to SAP XI server using HTTP protocol. So I just ask to legacy system team to change the application to add <b>server</b>, <b>namespace</b> and <b>interface</b> attributes to the URL querystring.
So for each XML message you should especify mesage interface that it belongs to. You do it by especifying on URL as message atribute for exemple:
HTTP://[SAPXISERVER]:80[SYSTEM ID]/sap/xi/adapter_plain?service=[BS SERVICE]&namespace=[MESSAGE INTERFACE NAMESPACE]&interface=[MESSAGE INTERFACE]
So if you have for example information belows:
<b>MESSAGE INTERFACE</b> = MI_MYMESSAGEINTERFACE_IB
<b>MESSAGE INTERFACE NAMESPACE</b> = urn:teste:mymessageinterface
<b>SERVICE</b> = MY_LEGACY
<b>SYSTEM ID</b> = 10
<b>SAPXISERVER</b> = MYSAPXI
Your url should looks like: http://MYSAPXI:8010/sap/xi/apadter_plain?service=MY_LEGACY&namespace=urn:teste:mymessageinterface &interface=MI_MYMESSAGEINTERFACE_IB
You should have a different message interface for each XML that you send to SAP XI.

HTTP Sender with EOIO leads to HTTP Response 500
Hello everybody,
since we are using SP12 we have problems with the HTTP sender when using EOIO. If I use the two parameters ....qos=EOIO&queueid=myQueue... I got a HTTP Reponse Code 500: Internal Server Error in the sender system (for the test I use a Java Program). When I use the qos EO (without a queue ID) it works.
Does anybody now this problem?

About https certificate problem
Hi,All
I change my OS datetime bakc to 2010,and send https request to my website api,https://api.xxxxxx.com,the httpService always fault,the fault detaial as
FaultEvent fault=[RPC Fault faultString="HTTP request error" faultCode="Server.Error.Request" faultDetail="Error: [IOErrorEvent type="ioError" bubbles=false cancelable=false eventPhase=2 text="Error #2032: IO Error。 URL: https://api.xxxxxx.com"].
Is there anyway to prevent this error , thanks.Thanks for reply.
Code like this
var http:HTTPService=new HTTPService();
http.url ="https://api.xxxxxx.com/getSomething?p1=x" ;
http.method = HTTPRequestMessage.GET_METHOD;
http.requestTimeout = requestTimeout;
var token:AsyncToken = http.send();
I think the code is ok.
The code work correctly when the computer datetime setting is right.
But when i change the computer to a few year ago,the http request always fualt.
And open the url in ie explorer,and was told the certificate is expire,so i think the problem is all about certificate.
Is anyway can make it work without change the system time? -
When I reply to an email in Mail, the "send" button in the reply message windeow is greyed out and will not function. This has occured since the machine was updated to OS X Tiger. What is the fix?
In case you're missing something, instructions for setting up an AOL account in Mail can be found here:
http://members.aol.com/adamkb/aol/mailfaq/imap/applemail.html
The instructions are for Mail 1.3, but they can be used for Mail 2.x as well, noting that the Special Mailboxes preference pane is called Mailbox Behaviors in Mail 2.x.
You may also want to read the more general guide the above article is part of:
Accessing the AOL Mail System using IMAP - An Unofficial Guide
Also, Mail Help has some articles devoted to sending problems, e.g. I can't send email or I can't send email because the connection to the server on port 25 timed out. You may want to take a look at them in case there is something there that applies to you. Something that usually works is changing the outgoing server port to 587 instead of 25. -
HTTPs sender adapter to pick file from a external HTTP file location
HI gurus
Please see the problem here. I need know hoe to configure the Sender HTTP adapter.
My Scenario-
A Flat file (non-xml but structured) sitting on an external https enabled web server. I need XI to go out and get this file on a regular basis (which will then be processed laterby the business person)
Thanks
VLHi,
The FTP Adapter will do the job for you. Just create a File Communication Channel and change Transport Protocol to FTP. Since you mentioned that the file is non-xml, in the Message Protocol, choose, File Content Conversion.

(i have taken hint from this weblog /people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/03/29/configuring-the-sender-rfc-adapter--step-by-step)
These are the configuration at sap xi and sap r/3 system
1) SAP XI (ID)
I have created rfc sender commuication channel in I.D.
Rfc server Parameters->
A.S.(Gateway)-> server {sap r/3 server name}
A.S.S.(Gateway) -> sapgw00
program id -> PDPT
AND RFC Metadata repository parameter
2)SAP R/3 (SM59)
Rfc destination -> PPPP
Connection type -> T
Technical Settings->
(*) Registered Server Program
Program ID -> PDPT
Gate way options
Gateway host -> server
gateway service -> sapgw00
Testconnection-> connected
3) testing rfc at sap r/3(se37)
But when i am executing a rfc in sap system
Rfc target system -> PPPP
and some import parameters
and it is showing the error message as
'alternativeServiceIdentifier: party/service from channel
configuration are not '
4)SAP R/3( SMGW)
CONNECTION TO CLIENT FOR PDPT(TP NAME) REGISTER STATUS IS WAITING
Please help me how to solve this problemHi,
SAP Note 730870 FAQ: XI 3.0 RfcAdapter Q.no 15
<i>Q 15: Whats wrong when the error message "lookup of alternativeServiceIdentifier via CPA-cache failed" shows up while sending a RFC call to the RfcAdapter?
A: A RFC sender channel is located beneath a service within the Integration Directory. Within this service choose "Service" -> "Adapter-Specific Identifiers". The values in the fields "R/3 System ID" and "Client" has to be maintained with the correct values of the system, that sends the RFC call to the RfcAdapter. It normaly only makes sense to have these values filled for services of type "Business System". If maintained in SLD, this fields will be filled automaticaly for services of type "Business System" and can be updated with the button "Compare with System Landscape Directory".</i>
- Give correct appserver and gateway service details in XI.
- Open the service holding the RFC adapter you are trying to use. On the top menu, goto Service -> Adapter Specific Identifiers..

A new clue to the Apple Mail sending problems?
In my continuing efforts to fix the SMTP/POP mail failures with Apple mail, I've noticed a glitch that some of you more advanced readers might be able to decipher.
After lots of fruitless messing around with port numbers, preferences, and keychain fix attempts, what did work for me (temporarily) was a cleaning out of all the servers listed on the mail account options window, and then putting the original names and other info back in. Somehow, the mail app is spontaneously generating multiple combinations of server names, usually the original server name, plus a user name, the server name again, or some other redundant combination.
As I use mail to manage two separate POP accounts, sometimes it also creates hybrid server names by combining the server/user name pieces across both accounts.
This appears to happen entirely on its own; I had mail working for about 90 minutes, then it fell into this problem again. I'll probably have to keep cleaning it out, like a boat owner scraping barnacles off the hull, until Apple offers some kind of a patch.
Has anyone else who has the nagging "can't send SMTP mail" problem seen this phenomenon in their server/account preferences specs? If so, any ideas on how to stop this madness?You haven’t said what the problem was in your case, i.e. what error message did you get when sending, if any, whether the mail account and the associated outgoing (SMTP) server were provided by your ISP or by someone else, etc.
Mail doesn’t spontaneoulsy generate outgoing server entries, but it keeps information about outgoing (SMTP) servers in a separate list independently of the mail accounts themselves. The account settings just associate one of the available outgoing servers with each account. Deleting an account doesn’t remove from the list the outgoing server that was associated with it. Orphaned or dangling outgoing server entries (i.e. not associated with any account) sometimes cause weird sending problems, and could very well have been the problem in your case as well.
As you appear to have already found out, you may go to Mail > Preferences > Accounts > Account Information > Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP), choose Edit Server List from the popup menu, and delete any servers that shouldn’t be there — the Edit Server List panel shows the account each outgoing server is associated with. -
Passing XML String via HTTP Sender
Hello everyone,
currently we try to find a solution on the following requirement - maybe you have useful advice for us:
8 different business documents can be sent via a web-interface to SAP XI via the http sender adapter. We already have a customized JCo Class that takes only one input parameter (containining the XML string of the business document).
I think the easiest way would be to receive the XML string from the web-interface and pass it directly on to the JCo-Class in a Java Mapping.
Is it possible to create a generic message type for all 8 types of XML documents that contains just one element holding the XML as string? By doing so we could use the same URL for all 8 different XML types and pass it directly on as input paramenter to the JCo Class.
Do you have any idea how to do this?
Thank you very much.Does the HttpURLConnection conn send the string along with the headerYes.

How to configure the Http sender adapter
Now i have look through the sap lib about the http sender adapter
and i know the url is
http://hostname:port/path?namespace=<...>
&interface=<...>&service=<...>&cmd=T&loaderXML=< message object >&end=yes
My questions are:
1)the path in the URL is "/sap/xi/adapter_plain", if not, what is it?
2)the message payload is right?
any reply is appreciated
Thank you very muchHi Leo,
For a HHTP Scenario:
DESIGN:
1. Create DataTypes for source and Destinations. Create elements for all the text fields of your HTTP Client so that they can all be mapped into the destination file
2. Create MessageTypes for the two datatypes.
3. Create Message Interfaces. The One for HTTP is the sender, Asynchronous ( as no response is expected) and one for File is receiver, asynchronous.
4. Do the mapping. It will be mostly a one to one mapping of the fields.
5. Create the Interface Mapping.
Configuration:
1. Import your Business System under your Configuration Scenario.
2. Create 2 communication channels. One for Http as a sender and one for your receiver say IDoc.
Check these links for the configuration part.
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/43/64db4daf9f30b4e10000000a11466f/content.htm
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/bc/bb79d6061007419a081e58cbeaaf28/content.htm
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/44/79973cc73af456e10000000a114084/content.htm
3. Do the Receiver Agreement for Idoc. HTTP doesnt need a sender agreement.
4. DO the Receiver Determination and Interface Determination.
Weblog which talk about the same scenario:-
/people/sriram.vasudevan3/blog/2005/01/11/demonstrating-use-of-synchronous-asynchronous-bridge-to-integrate-synchronous-and-asynchronous-systems-using-ccbpm-in-sap-xi - although this weblog is
aimed at explaining the sync-async bridge.. Sriram has taken http-to-file scenario as the example
(use case) and explained it...
Check this SDN tv demo, it has detail of HTTP adapter setup.
https://media.sdn.sap.com/SDNTV/main.asp?mediaId=107
Refer to this link for adapter settings.
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/0d/5ab43b274a960de10000000a114084/frameset.htm
You should also have a HTTP client to send message to XI. In the connecting parameters to XI u have to use the URL in the pattern mentioned . U have to give all the configuration details in the URL.
If you give me your mail id or if you can mail me at [email protected], i can send you a HTTP CLIENT.....In which you need to view the source code and change the username and password to send message to XI.

How to use the http sender adapter
Hi,
I'm trying to use the http sender adapter but not getting the result.
1) I've created the commnunication channel in Integration Directory.
2) I have my url:
http://<server>:56000/sap/xi/adapter_plain?service=BS&namespace=urn%3Acompany%3Apoc&interface=interface
3) When i copy that url in a browser i get a login prompt. When i log in i get a message that navigation is cancelled.
What steps do i need to do to use this url to send my xml message to the adapter engine. Do i need a special system user for this? Any other tools required? (i have httpclient but using that doesnt send messages to the adapter_plain; i think)
I feel i'm just missing one little thing, but what is it.

RobertHello Team,
I added the user name & pwd to query string & trying to access from IE and still getting blank page.
Is this what is expected or there is something wrong in URL. I am able to send the XML from HTTP Test tool.
