HTTP SERVER need help.

I have a http server problem.
my platform win2k adv server
w or w/o iis
w or w/o active directory
I installed the oracle 902 but the http quite ?????
I shut down the iis services the http server doesn't take over. in oracle817 the http index page will just pop up.
but in 9i it doesn't.
some other thing i noticed is during the installation sometime the agent service right before the starting http services or just after the scott database creating done. it sometime when through sometime doesn't.
any help?
I basically just want to install apache and use apache to launch my form or other html page.

I'm just not sure about a couple of things, if you could clearify it for me.
At the moment, I am doing the processes in the following order
read request - main method
send reply - HTTPclass
close connection - HTTPclass
I think you are telling me to change when I close the connection, ie the HTTPclass should remain in a while loop for a while (unless the keep-alive is not set).. I did try that, but everytime a new request would come in, the main method would make a new HTTPclass object and service it, rather then the old one servicing it.
I dont quite understand this part
while (read request != EOF)what does end of file have to do with it??

Few errror/doubts in Primary and Standby server - Need Help

I am having below doubts/errors. I need help to solve all the below questions.
I configured Dataguard successfully. Now the sync is upto date using the below parameters (using 11g):
at primary:
log_archive_dest_1=
log_archive_dest_2='SERVICE=standby.123 arch'
standby_file_management=auto
at sandby:

standby_file_management=auto
Still i face below messages in the alertliog. Can anybody clearly explain me all the points.

ORA-1652: unable to extend temp segment by 640 in tablespace NEWTEMP
I get this error when my archvie destination got filled up, later we released the enough space, the archived are generating. Still i see this message once in between. Need to solve this.

Checkpoint not complete ( i see this message very often, want to get rid of this)
standby:
kcrrvslf: active RFS archival for log thread 1 sequence (sometimes i see this KCRRVSLF)
standby:
check that the CONTROL_FILE_RECORD_KEEP_TIME initialization parameter is defined to a value that is sufficiently large enough to maintain afequate log switch information to resolve archivelog gaps. (also get this message in between the alertlog file in standby)

Any relation you thought you saw was pure coincidence.

In that case I would check that the CONTROL_FILE_RECORD_KEEP_TIME initialization parameter is defined to a value that is sufficiently large enough to maintain adequate log switch information to resolve archivelog gaps.
How big is that? Well, at least bigger than it is now. Beyond that, it would have to be "large enough to maintain adequate log switch information to resolve archivelog gaps" Just play with it until you get the result you want.

Linking to a page that's not on my local server- need help!

I am trying to set up an image with a hotspot that links to my blog for wordpress. I had issues getting it to work, until I figured out that in the href= section I have to type in just /blog/ but that only works on the home page. It won't work on any other page, because its not just the homepage followed by blog, it's got another directory in there, IE www.mowd-graphics.x10hosting.com/blog as opposed to www.mowd-graphics.x10hosting.com/folder/blog. I know it's not gonna work, but I have no idea how else to get it to link to this page because it's not in my local server like every single other page is. Any help on how to accomplish this?

Essbase Client 32 bit on the Solaris SPARC 64 bit Cognos server - Need help

I have a SunSolaris SPARC 64 bit OS on which i have the 32 bit Cognos 8.4.1 installed.
I now wanted to install a 32 bit Essbase client on this server.
can anyone please let me know if there exists a 32 bit essbae client which can be installed on the SunSolaris SPARC 64 bit OS ?

I will asume the latest version of the essbase client
"EPM System Installer installs both 32-bit and 64-bit Essbase Client on a machine with a 64-bit operating system."
Once it is installed you may need to update the environment variables to point to the 32bit client.

CS2 PowerPC 10.5.8 re Install thwarted by Adobe d/c of activation server, need help!

I had a computer issue, had to re-install my previously (2009) installed Creative Suite 2 Premium, w/ valid SN. Completely removed all previous Adobe product, checked and repaired permissions and dumped a bunch of suspect fonts. Rebooted and emptied the trash numerous times. Installed (not really) and got to on line or phone activation, only to find out activation server is kaput. I needed an Activation Code and would have been home free. Instead, i had to go D/L the same CS2 suite off Adobes site, w/ posted SN. I AGAIN removed all Adobe product from computer, only to have new error message come up with Cue being the only thing it will allow me to re-install. The PSD, ILL and InDesign buttons are greyed out and unavailable to install. It says I ALREADY HAVE THOSE ITEMS INSTALLED. I have checked, double checked and triple checked for any adobe traces of install, out of every folder in library, preferences, applications and anywhere else. Same message comes up. After spending a long time on Chat being shuffled between departments, i ultimately get sent here. They say they can't help me as CS2 is so old. PITA. All to re-install something i legally purchased and installed years ago! I'd upgrade if this was an Intel processor. But alas, this old PowerPC is at the end of it's road apparently. Any help to get me running again so i can get some work done? Any help is appreciated.

Went there did that. After D/L the above link(s), the installer somehow recognizes (falsely) that Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign are installed, and their respective buttons are greyed out. Should i install individual components as opposed to the whole suite? I've checked and checked again for any remaining adobe product, there isn't any i can find. Another suggestion?

Jetphoto Server on Snow Leopard Server - Need help.

Folks, I recently setup a machine using Snow Leopard Server and migrated our jetphoto server (http://www.jetphotosoft.com/web/?s=product_server) to this machine. I cannot get it to work. It worked perfectly on Leopard client.
I enabled my php5 module. I just don't know what to do on this one. I'd appreciate any help getting this going.
Essentially I downloaded the jetphoto server 1.3, moved the jpserver folder to the correct level of the webserver folder and attempted to load it in Safari.
All I get is:

Is it safe to re-install vm server - need help all envs down

i raised another query about this but had no replies - I have also raised 2 SR's to know avail yet
please help if you can:
I added extra cpu's and mem to a vm server (the only one in a pool) - now nothing works
if i try to rediscover the server it says:
OVMAPI_1009E This interface com.oracle.ovm.mgr.api.physical.Processor / Processor already exists (Processor (1)
also if i try to migrate the VM's to the unnasigned folder it complains :
OVMAPI_6046E ActionEngine: null targetServer: - error(NULL)
i am worried what will happen if i re-install oraclevm server on the server while there are still vm's assigned to it and not moved to the unnasigned folder - will this be ok?
is this re-install the best course of action?

Web service deployment on oracle app server, need help

Hi All..,
When I deploy a web service on the Oracle Application Server (10.1.3.3) the WSDL that is generated from JDeveloper and package with the EAR file is overwritten at deployment time. The parameter names for the method calls for the web service are change from actually parameter names to generic ones. For example, “amount” is changed to “param0” or “vendorId” is changed to “param1”. Is there a way to not let this happen ??

Installing Oracle HTTP server pt.2

i tried to install Oracle HTTP server in a new home but i encountered the following error:
The installer encountered the following error while trying to connect to the target database:
ERROR: Exception occured while connecting to database. Please check the connection details of the
database you specfied and retry.
IO excpetion: the Network Adapter could not establish the connection.
i am using Oracle in the same computer i am working. is that the SYS account
password is wrong. what is the default SYS account password. i donot remeber changing
it unless it was promted during installation?

i tried to check the oracle TNS listener configuration using Oracle Net manager
i got the following error message:
Attempting to connect using userid: stardoc
The test did not succeed.
ORA-12541: TNS:no listener
There may be an error in the fields entered,
or the server may not be ready for a connection.
what is the problem? i can connect to the database using sqlplus and sqldeveloper.
but i cannot seem to connect with the database apparently when i try to install

Error installing 11.1.2 on redhat 5 --Oracle HTTP server -- -failed

when i am installing 11.1.2 on RHEL 5 ,i see that Oracle HTTP server installtion failed.
I am not understanding what could be the reaosn .?
Else is there a way to avaoid the Oracle HTTP server and go for apche HTTP server.

Installing Oracle HTTP Server manually may be an option here.
It seems straight-forward enough. You can run the Oracle HTTP Server installer in GUI mode, outside EPM System Installer, using setup.exe (Windows) or runInstaller from EPM_ORACLE_HOME/common/ohs2_tmp_stage/Disk1. Specify MIDDLEWARE_HOME/ohs as the target installation folder, and accept the defaults for all other settings.

Can't connect Windows 8.1 Enperprise to Windows Server 2012 Essentials. Get a Digest Login page and then a Blank with HTTP 404 Error page. Need help!

I have make a new and clean install of Windows Server 2012 R2 Essentials on my office network server and then i made a new and clean install of Windows 8.1 Enterprise version on one of my office desktops.
After all VPN and Anywhere Access where setup on the server i when to a PC that is inside my office network and browse on Internet Explorer to the URL to connect this PC to the server and make it part of the domain.
But when i browse to the http://MYSERVERNAME/connect im not getting the Windows Server page with the option to download the windows connector. Instead i get a login pop-up saying "iexplore" and "digest". I try to create a user on the server
and use that user login details on this login box, but even then, the only thing i get is a blank page saying a HTTP Error 404.
So can someone please help me on this? Any advice on how to solve this problem in order to show the normal Windows Server connect page?

On the Windows Server 2012 R2 Essentials, please open Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager. Navigate to Sites, then right click Default Web Site and select
Edit Bindings… In Site Bindings, select Port 80 and click “Edit…” button. Would you please provide a screenshot of the Edit Site Binding (Port 80) that you can see?
Then please click
Connect which in the list of Default Web Site. In the mid panel, select
.NET Authorization Rules and double click it. Then please check if all users were allowed.
By the way, would you please provide a screenshot of the login page when you browser
http://servername/connect? It may help me to understand this issue clearly.
Meanwhile, please logon a problematic client computer and navigate to the path: C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows
Server\Logs folder. Then check if there is Computerconnector log file. If there is, please check it if can find some clues. (Please note: the log file is a hidden file. Please open Control Panel, select Folder Options, select View tab and check Show hidden
files, folders and drives. Then you will be able to find the log file.)

URL.openConnection works fine as a client. You don't have to do anything other than specify the protocol as https.
I don't know what you are looking for in terms of server. Are you trying to write your own server? Which part do you not know? The HTTP part or the S part?
