HTTP to RFC  - Async scenario

Hello Experts,
I am getting the following error when working with HTTP to RFC Asynchronous scenario (In this scenario, my client sends data through scheduling like per day at around 25 to 30 messages out of which 1 or 2 messages are in errored out with the following error message)
ERROR:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes" ?>

</SAP:Error>
However if I process the same error message manually, it is processing sucessfully.
Please help me in resolving this issue.

Hello Stefan,
I don't find any non-ascii character in that respective XML Tags.
As I explained you, Suppose when there is an invalid character in the XML tags, even it should not process the message when I process it manually, But it is sucessfully processing(when manually processing).
Below are the few XML Tags at which the invalid character is comming(message is errored out) in this XML Tags, but i dont find any invalid character in these
Can you please help us in resolving this.

    Looks like there is some mapping problems ,may be the RFC connection is not properly configured .Here is the link to configure the connection between ECC and PI :
    http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/XI/ConnectionSettingsbetweenECCandPIsystem
    May be there is no value retrieved from the ECC system so it is saying null value.
    For proper configuration check you can refer the following blog:
    /people/community.user/blog/2006/12/12/http-to-rfc--a-starter-kit
    I am a beginner so not the full answer is there but may be this would help you.

  • Response structure empty for HTTP to RFC synchronous scenario

    Hi experts,
    I have a HTTP to RFC synchronous scenario.
    The request is given to Price List ZBAPI.
    The input to the BAPI is date, material no, customer no and condition type.
    The output I am fetcching from access sequence table into the table FINAL  type structure ZFINAL which is
    then sent back to source as a response.
    But the problem is that I get this table as empty although BAPI returns data
    Regards,
    Mozila

    Dear Mozila,
    How did you check that BAPI returns data? Did you use an exact message sent from PI to the receiver business system? If not, I would suggest to take the message which was sent by PI to the receiver business system and use it when performing BAPI test.
    Are table contents received by RFC adapter on PI side (can you see BAPI execution results in message contents for response message received by RFC adapter)?
    Can you see any errors in RFC communication channel?
    Did you check message monitor in Integration Server for the particular message? Are there any errors?
    Please also check your message mapping - this may also cause the error in case RFC adapter receives correct results, but HTT client receives empty table.
    My regards,
    Vadim

  • Doubt about RFC Destination in FILE to IDOC Async scenario

    hi
    In FILE-XI-IDOC Async Scenario we are creating RFC Destination in R/3 and XI.
    For Asyn we don't want response But We are Creating RFC Destination in R/3 also.
    Any specific reason.
    Thanks in advance.

    First you need to have a clear understading of how the idoc adapters works.
    In xi we create rfc destination and specify that in the port maintenance on the idoc adapter so that we can establish a connection to the sender / receiver system which contains the IDOC METADATA (IDX2) that is required by the idoc adapter to convert the native idoc into idoc xml format.
    In R/3 as sender we create rfc destination so that when the idoc has to be transported to the xi system first it will be sent to trfc port that rfc desination that  u define the trfc port contains that the target system address(IP) and logon parameters req.So idoc can be sent to the desired destination.
    In R/3 as a receiver to facilitate communication we define rfc dest, partner profile and specify the inbound parameters so that idoc can be posted.
    Hope this answers your ques.
    cheers

  • HTTP to RFC scenario

    I have been trying to configure the XML to IDOC scenario given in the XI starter pack . Does anybody have the sample XML and XSD files mentioned in the scenario ?
    There are two messages in the XSD, purchase order request and purchase order response. It would be a great help if anybody could supply me these XSD and also the XML test documents involved in the workshop scenaro.
    Also could someone inform me what tool i can use to create custom XSD ?
    Thanks,
    Joe

    Thanks for your reply, Honey.
    I'll Try to explain my problem a little bit better :
    I have data coming in from a third party system , in XML (B2MML format). I need to create an XSD according to this incoming data , and then do data transformation in the message mapping level to put this data into a BAPI call, or maybe a proxy call.
    So as a beginning, i started with the starter pack scenario for HTTP to RFC . They have not provided the XSD in the PDF document that i have , so i was wondering if anybody would have the XML which i could then use.
    I have come across another problem here, which is how to put the XSD on the XI server. Whenever i try to import the XSD, the file-open browser points to the XI server to pick the file from, and i dont have access to that server. Any idea how i could get around this problem too ?
    Thanks ,
    Joe

  • To configure a HTTP to RFC scenario

    HI all,
    I am trying to configure a HTTP to RFC scenario.
    I have to get the data from a URL - http://supplierportal.com/.
    I know that the design and configuration part is gonna be the same as any other scenario.
    Can anyone tell me what are the extra configurations that needs to be done for this scenario. I am wondering where do we give the URL from which the data is fetched and how do we get only certain fields from the portal
    Regards
    Arun

    Hi Danus,
    Thank u so much for the informaion.
    The scenario that i am working on is as below.
    There is a customer who raises PO in their own portal. We have been provided a login to their portal for accessing the PO that they raise and we will supply the material to them.Now, we are implementing SAP in our company, our agenda is to get the PO that is created in their portal and create a sales order against that PO and then send them a ASN (anyway this ASN will be separate interface).
    The below are the configuration that i have done...
    Design part:
    1 ) Created the neccessary datatypes and message types for the information that we get from the portal.
    2) Cretaed the message interface :
                          outbound interface - message type (of type with info from portal)
                          inbound interface   - RFC function module.
    3) Done the message mapping and interface mapping.
    Configuration part :
    1) Configured the receiver comm channel.
    2) since there is no need for a sender comm channel and sender agreement (am not sure abt this yet). am stuck with the receiver agreement b'coz we will have to fill the sender details in this part..
    3) As I understand it is the responsibility of the Portal ppl to deliver the PO to the XI link.Right?
    Plz help me to proceed further...
    Thanks and regards

    Dear Dushanth ,
    It is very simple ..
    Go to SU01 , Select user XIRWBUSER and assign role SAP_XI_RWB_SERV_USER.
    Just for your update :
    XIREPUSER->User for the Integration Repository->SAP_XI_IR_SERV_USER
    XIDIRUSER->User for the Integration Directory->SAP_XI_ID_SERV_USER
    XIAPPLUSER->User for sender applications->SAP_XI_APPL_SERV_USER

  • HTTP to RFC scenario - unable to consume URL link

    Hi All,
    I'm working on a HTTP to RFC scenario.
    Below is the URL link PI QAS Server to push XML data.
    http://Server IP:Port/sap/xi/adapter_plain?
    namespace=http%3A//rediff/ProjectSTAR/SME&interface=SI_OUT_ASYN_DIALER_CRM&
    service=BS_SME&party=&agency=&scheme=&QOS=EO&sap-user=xxxxx&sap-password=XXXXXX&
    sap-client=210&sap-language=EN
    But the 3rd party system says that they are unable to push XML data because of may be below reasons.
    1. Ports are not open from SAP end.
    2. Firewalls may be there from SAP end.
    3rd party is unable to consume the above link.
    But if they push it on PI PRD Server's URL link, it shows ports are open and they are able to consume the link.
    Please guide me on this to receive data on SAP PI QAS server also.
    Regards,
    Amit P

    Did you checked your URL, I can see there are "//" in the string which might have caused the problem.
    Please let me know if the url which you are using and the one you have pasted are different
    http://Server IP:Port/sap/xi/adapter_plain?
    namespace=http%3A//rediff/ProjectSTAR/SME&interface=SI_OUT_ASYN_DIALER_CRM&
    service=BS_SME&party=&agency=&scheme=&QOS=EO&sap-user=xxxxx&sap-password=XXXXXX&
    sap-client=210&sap-language=EN
    Moreover, I believe you have shared this URL to the sender system to push the XML via HTTP
    Can you clarify if the understanding is correct

  • HTTP to RFC scenario with URL parameters

    Hi All,
    I am working on HTTP to RFC scenario using an interface in SAP PI.
    The data will be pushed from API link via 4 URL parameters viz. UID, mobno, phone1, phone2.
    My query is what will be the UDF code for the same.
    Also how to design & configure the same scenario in SAP PI, since I'm working on this scenario for the first time.
    on SAP end, what will be more comfortable to have RFC or Proxy?
    Thanks & Regards,
    Amit S Patil

    Hi All,
    In case of RFC to HTTP scenario wherein we have to pass URL parameters as the request instead of XML/xsd(at the receiver end), there is no need of .xsd file to be imported in SAP PI as target end in request message mapping.
    Similarly in reverse case(HTTP to RFC scenario), if some data will be pushed from external system through URL parameters instead of XML/xsd(at the sender end), how the design & configuration is done in SAP PI?
    Is this reverse scenario possible without any XML/xsd scema at the sender end?
    Please suggest me at the earliest?
