HTTP vs HTTPS when running Xcelsius using Netweaver BI Connection

We have created a dashboard in Xcelsius using the Netweaver BI connection to get the data from SAP BW system. The xcelsius file is saved on the BW server. The dashboard is made available to the users using a iview in SAP portal using the iview template for BEx Web Template 7.0. and query string "DASHBOARD=Z_XCELSIUS_FILENAME". Our Portal and BW systems are configured to use HTTPS.
When the users access the dashboard, standard security information dialog box is displayed warning users that the page contains secure and nonsecure items requiring them to click on Yes to go forward. The security information box is displayed because of a HTTP call to the Adobe macromedia for downloading flash player if needed.
We would like to avoid the security information box. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. We don't have the option to use HTTP instead of HTTPS on the portal and BW servers.

Hi,
Is this issue resolved? I am getting the same error "Fail to retrieve the logon ticket, please contact the administrator" in      Xcelsius 2008. I am using the SAP GUI 7.0 Patch level 15.
Please help me how to resolve the error.
Regards,
Raj.

  • How to run tests in Firefox when running script using runScript.bat

    I am trying to run OATS script from commandline without opening Openscript IDE(eclipse). I use the following command to execute my script:
    runScript "<scriptpath>/<scriptName>.jwg"The script starts to execute and launches IE. I wanted to run my test on Firefox but it always launches IE even if Firefox is my default browser.
    If I run my script from Openscript IDE it honours the Browser settings in View > OpenScript preferences... OpenScript > General > Browsers. When running thorugh cmd line, these settings are not taken into account as Eclipse preferences settings are applicable only for the workspace selected for the IDE.
    Any thought on how to set these preferences when running scripts using runScript.bat file?
    Thanks,
    Manish Khatre

    Hello
    You need to pass the value/parameters (preferences) to the command line as documented in the OpenScriptUserGuide.pdf.
    Something like
    -browser.type type
    Specify the browser type to use for script playback
    where type is one of the following (use exact case
    and no spaces):
    ■ InternetExplorer
    ■ Firefox
    The default is InternetExplorer
    JB

  • Process.Start - getting different output when running command using this method than I am if I run same command in CMD prompt

    Hi
    Creating an application to analyze .dmp files - all working well except this odd issue
    If I open command prompt and enter this command:-
    kd -z C:\Windows\MiniDump\042414-24632-01.dmp -c "!analyze -v"
    Then it works and shows me all the output I need (shown at bottom of post)
    If I run same command in VB.net using following code - then it doesn't give the same output - the bits I need at the end created by the !analyze -v switch don't appear
    Any ideas why it is not seeing the switch correctly - setting a breakpoint and checking contents of startinfo seems to be showing correct cmd line i.e. "kd -z C:\windows\minidump\042414-24632-01.dmp -c "!analyze –v;q""
    Dim myprocess As New Process()
    myprocess.StartInfo.FileName = "C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Kits\8.1\Debuggers\x86\kd"
    myprocess.StartInfo.Arguments = "-z C:\windows\minidump\042414-24632-01.dmp -c ""!analyze –v;q"""
    myprocess.StartInfo.UseShellExecute = False
    myprocess.StartInfo.RedirectStandardOutput = True
    myprocess.StartInfo.CreateNoWindow = True
    myprocess.Start()
    TextBox1.AppendText(myprocess.StandardOutput.ReadToEnd())
    Output when run from cmd prompt:-
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Kits\8.1\Debuggers\x86>kd -z C:\Windows\MiniDump\042414-24632-01.dmp -c "!analyze -v;q"

    Try it by opening the Cmd prompt as the actual process and passing the Filename and its arguments as the arguments of the Cmd process.  If you notice there is a "-C" before the Filename and Arguments in this example.  The "-C"
    tells the cmd to execute the commands and then close itself.  You can also use a "-K" which tells the cmd to execute the commands and keep itself open.  Being you are not showing the cmd window you don`t want to keep it opened because the
    user can`t close it so, that is why i used "-C".
     I don`t have the program so, you can just experiment to see what it does.  Maybe you should try using "-K" and show the cmd window by commenting out the CreateNoWindow line so you can see what is in the cmd window while testing.

  • HTTP 401 received when running exRCA and authentication fails

    After upgrading Exchange 2013 to CU6 our ActiveSync functionality stopped (along with a few other things). I have been using ExRCA to troubleshoot and have spent several days looking at forums and trying different things out to get it working again but to
    no avail. Essentially when I enter valid account credentials it fails to authenticate and as a result I receive an 401 response.
    I have already checked Inherited permissions are enabled for the user account in AD. I have checked that the authentication for the Virtual directory is set to Basic with SSL required. (Have also tried with windows authentication enabled). I have recycled
    the ApplicationPool especially the MSExchangeSyncAppPool - That appears to be correctly configured and running under LocalSystem Identity. I have recreated the virtual directory using the reset feature in the EPC. Both internal and external URLs are set as
    well as the CAS server being assigned to the External URL.
    The report that I get: -

  • Up2date http forbidden error when trying to use local yum repository

    I have recently set up a local yum repository according to the directions in the document located at http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/articles/servers-storage-admin/yum-repo-setup-1659167.html

    Actually, I have set up both. The only uncommented lines in the /etc/sysconfig/rhn/sources file are:
    yum el5_$ARCH_latest http://us1lxmgt1/yum/EnterpriseLinux/EL5/latest/$ARCH/
    yum ol5_$ARCH_latest http://us1lxmgt1/yum/OracleLinux/OL5/latest/$ARCH/
    I also have a repo file in /etc/yum.repos.d. In that file the only sections marked enabled are the following:
    [el5_latest]
    name=Oracle Linux $releasever - $basearch - latest
    baseurl=http://us1lxmgt1/yum/EnterpriseLinux/EL5/latest/$basearch/

    gpgcheck=1
    enabled=1
    Thanks for the helpFirst of all, having both of these setup is completely redundant. The only difference between these two channels is that the el5 channel contains rpms from before the release of OL5.6 and up to now and the ol5 channel only contains everything since OL5.6 to now.
    Second, can you post the entire sources file?
    Third, though Dude isn't completely correct about the use of up2date, you can use yum on OL5 to get updates from the server, but you'd need to just use yum and not up2date in that case. For some reason, when you configure up2date to use yum via the sources file it uses a completely different stack of yum software other than the yum client that is installed by the yum rpms. Instead, it uses the older header format provided by yum-arch. When you use yum by itself, it uses the metadata that's created from createrepo instead (think repodata).
    Fourth, you may have better luck with using the yum client overall. And actually, in the long run you would be better served to use yum since asa OL4 is phased out, we're going to discontinue yum-arch which will in turn stop the up2date clients from working in this scenario. (Note: we don't use yum-arch to generate header information for ULN.)

  • Reports Services getting down when running reports using in process server

    Hi,
    I have applied patchset 3829014 (Containers for J2EE: Patchset PLACE HOLDER FOR OC4J STANDALONE RELEASE 9.0.4.1)
    to fix the Bug No. 2670561 CPU usage becomes 100% when there is a new HTTP connection
    request in the queue.
    Now after reploying the *.ear file and restarting OC4J_BI_FORMS services from Enterprise Manager and starting the Reports Services if I want to run the reports from the application contained in the ear file, I find the Reports Services is down and the browser throws a 500 - Internal Server Error.
    In the ipm.log file in Oracle_home\opmn\logs I find the following lines:
    05/01/08 17:15:55 [4] Process Alive: OC4J~OC4J_BI_Forms~default_island~1 (1162281586:636)
    05/01/08 17:17:32 [2] [libopmnoc4j] AJP13: Receiving response code: 500 while configured success code is: 200
    05/01/08 17:17:32 [2] [libopmnoc4j] Ping URL for proc: 1162281586 failed while pinging url:/reports/rwservlet/pingserver?start=auto
    05/01/08 17:17:32 [4] [libopmnoc4j] Process Ping Failed: OC4J~OC4J_BI_Forms~default_island~1 (1162281586:636)
    I can't get from where the response code of 500 is coming.
    I have consulted the Doc Id 261867.1 in Metalink and has tuned the opmn.xml file as suggested there but of no use.
    Urgent help in this regard is needed where I went wrong as my production Application Server has become inoperative.
    Thanks
    Nilay

    The ear file contains the front end application from where the reports are called. I have created a new J2EE instance and deployed the application in the form of ear file there.
    After tuning the opmn.xml file following Metalink Doc. Id 261867.1 adding a value of pingtimeout, I found the OC4J_BI_FORMS was not shutting down the inprocess reports server and I was unable to generate reports by giving values from URL. But when I deploy the ear file in the newly created J2EE instance, the OC4J_BI_FORMS is shutting down . Now when I try to start the infrastructure components the OC4J_SEcurity is showing Database dependancy failed although OID and HTTP server components are up.

  • Error when running report using SDK

    Hi, I am getting following error when I am running a report  in boxi r2 sp3 on IIS. Infoview and CMC runs fine but SDK application is not able to connect to CMS. This error does not come all the time. It happens intermittently.
    Error in RetrieveReport: Unable to connect to cluster @hisuatcluster to retrieve updated CMS member list. Logon cannot continue.
    Anyone has seen this and any way to pin point the cause. We have used -ns and -port switch in the command line of CMS and all servers.
    Thanks,

    will try that. But we would not be leveraging cluster benefit then. What happens if that particilar CMS in cluster goes down.
    Below is the logic of SDK.
    1.     Create an EnterpriseSession by calling SessionMgr.Login(the credentials we use to connect on in the web.config file).
    2.     Get a reference to the InfoStore with EnterpriseSession.GetService(u201CInfoStoreu201D)

  • Error when running Dashboard with BPC 10 Connection

    Hello Experts,
    I am trying to preview my created Dashboard with BPC 10 Connection. Upon clicking Preview I encountered an "UnSupported Excel Function" error.
    When I clicked OK and tried to refresh my report, another error came up:
    Have you encountered these errors before?
    Thanks!
    Regards,
    Joana

    Hi Joana,
    Please refer knowledge base article 1741089 - Dashboard design error message: Unsupported Excel function EPMOlapMember - which says the same:
    Cause
    This is normal product behavior. Only native Excel functions which are
    supported by Xcelsius should be used for generating the dashboard.
    The embedded spreadsheet does not support all Excel functions. It does not
    support macros, conditional formatting, linking to other external spreadsheets,
    and some formula functions.
    Resolution
    Use only functions that are supported by Dashboard Design (Xcelsius).
    For a full list of supported functions, see the section Supported Excel
    functions in the Dashboards and Presentation Design User Guide available form http://help.sap.com/businessobject/product_guides/boexir4/en/xi4_dashD_user_en.pdf.
    Hope this helps.

  • "Cannot log into Web service" error when tying to use Wifi to connect to Google Drive or Facebook

    We have a relatively new Canon Powershot s120.  Up until a few days ago, it worked just fine to connect to the Wifi and upload pictures to both Google Drive and Facebook.  Now, every time I try to connect, I get a message "Cannot log into Web service"
    I have already tried removing Google Drive from the Camera and re-adding it.  I went into the Canon Image Gateway website and disconnected and then reconnected the service.  That didn't do anything.
    Would really appreciate any tips anyone has.
    Thanks!

    Problem sorted - there is a new set of terms and conditions which came out on the 6th August.
    You have to log in under your current user name & password and agree to them and it works again. I spent a frustrating hour doiung this until I found out that this had happened!
