Huge apple fan, have thousands invested in stock and products. I'm deployed and I want to know a way to play my PS3 through the thunderbolt connector to HDMI? is there any software to support this?
I would like to start off by saying, that I'm a huge apple fan, even own 8 shares. I have everytihing apple, from multiple phones, two ipads, macbook air, macbook pro, time machine, and 2 apple tv's. So, I easliy have invested enough for a reponse. But, I'm really frustrated right now because I'm deployed and I would love nothing more than to be able to play my PS3 on my macbook pro. I know that this would be easily possible if mac devoted a week to a solution. Or maybe there is already software that would allow me to use my thunderbolt connection to HDMI to connect to my PS3. I have the hardware, all I need is a program that would reconize this. This would only help there sales, so I don't understand why you can't already do this. To be able to use your screen on your macbook pro as a TV for your game consoles would be a huge to boost sales. Please tell me if this is possible and what I need to do it? Or please tell me why this is not possible?

What you want is Target Display mode. This mode is only supported in Late 2009 and Mid 2010 27-inch iMacs, and Mid 2011 or newer iMacs, but MacBooks Pro are not supported, so you cannot use your MacBook as a display for your PlayStation 4.
In the case of Late 2009 and Mid 2010 27-inch iMacs, there is an adapter called Kanex XD which allows you to use the iMac as a display for a Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3, but Xbox One and PlayStation 4 are not supported. In other words, you need an external monitor for your PlayStation 4.

There are number of other companies that make leather iPhone cases though - I've used numerous Sena leather sleeves and cases over the years although I've never inquired what species of leather they use. -
Just bought a MacPro and can airplay to Apple TV? I read that the iMaC, at least my model (Late 2009) does not support. Is this software (Lion) or hardware dependent, as well.?
Adding: It will be the "AirPlay Mirroring" for full screen.

The question says it all. We are trying to add an old Power Macintosh 8100/100 v7.5.5 to our network. We tried using PC-MACLAN but it requires OS X. Is there any way to get around this or is there any software available add this to our network? Any help is greatly appreciated.

If you wish to merely transfer files, one idea could be to have one ftp or web server on each machine, and then use appropriate clients (ftp programs or web browsers).
TCP/IP software is available under System 7.5.5. The 8100/100 can use standard RJ-45 Ethernet cabling via a suitable adapter for AAUI-15 (such as the Apple Ethernet Twisted-Pair Transceiver M0437).
For the Mac, the now free program NetPresenz could perhaps be of interest as a server solution.

I have upgraded my iPhone 4S to ios 6... I am surprised to see that the wi-go option is grayed out.. I did reset all the setting but no luck... Is there any fix coming for this or will apple exchange the device??? I want wi-fi option back

I have a Belgian Apple ID, but want to use the UK i-tunes store. I get a dialogue box saying "This Apple ID is only valid for purchases in the Belgian itune store". Is there any way around this? Thanks, Jackie and Manuel
When you move to Portugal (very nice, I've just come back from visiting Cascais/Sintra/Sines ) I think you'll just get re-directed to Portuguese iTunes. When I moved to France from the UK I got re-directed to the French store.
To view UK programmes in France I used to subscribe to a VPN server through https://www.my-private-network.co.uk/ (there are others, but very pleased with their service). The catch-up channels (iPlayer, etc) think you're in the UK so you can watch the programmes online. Wouldn't work with iTunes UK store though . -

I have called my local store in Santa Rosa Ca every day since the 22nd of september. They always say out of stock. I have saved the phone in my cart @ the online apple store and log in everynight just at the moment the on store pickup option has been turned on. Every night I get the same message unavailable and it's unavalable in all stores within a large radius. So today I go into the store because I know the at&t store in the same shopping mall expected to get delivery of more iphones at 4:00. So I stop by the apple store only to be told they sold out. I asked the manager if they have replenished stock since the first sell out on the 22nd and he said yes they have been getting new stock regularly however they sell out shortly after they open @ 10:00 am. So I'm thinking hmmmm. This means the online inventory doesn't work, the store holds all incoming inventory until the next day and won't tell you when the next order is due in. So if you need a phone like I do, since my screen is cracked, your basically screwed until Apple decides they are going to give their stores enough stock to last until the next delivery, the online inventory starts working, or the stores tell you when they expect another order to arrive so you can show up then. I don't see any of those things happening any time soon or at all.

can I have two apple TV boxes in the same home / wifi area, are there any issues i should be aware of?
I was in a hotel a few month a ago. The hotel also had a portal page you have to sign in. Of course the ATV didn't a web browser and could not sign in to the portal and connect to the Internet, so your iTunes didn't work. (But your ATV should be connected to the router at that point already, just the portal won't open the port to pass through your ATV's traffic)
So what I did was to use AirVideo app on my iPad and AirVideo server on my Mac. Selected the movie on my iPad using the AirVideo app and then selected my AirPlay device on my iPad to AppleTV. Because this setup didn't require iTunes, so there was no need for a live Internet connection, and just a connection to the hotel router was enough. It was very easy.
(Of course, you can subsititude the iPad with an iPhone here too) -
I have highlighted words in an .iba file. Now I need to increase the space before (and/or after) the paragraph it's contained in. If I increase the space after, the height of the highlighting increases also. Is there any way around this?

I'm trying configure E2E monitoring. I configured all necessary steps, I can see my BI 4.1 system in SLD, also in SOLMAN, all “lights” are green. But if I start Root Cause Analysis>> Ent-to End Analysis>> My system>> Workload Analysis, I see this error "The systems you selected do not contain any software components currently supported by E2E Workload Analysis".It would be better if you can raise the question at Remote Supportability and Monitoring Tools

After updating to ios 5, my calendar sometimes freezes when entering a new event. I have tried syncing but it doesn't fix the problem. Are there any bug fixes for this? Any ideas would be great thanks, I don't really want to have to reset everything!
Try to reset the iPod by pressing the home and sleep button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again. You will not lose data doing a reset, but it can clear some glitches after installing new software or apps.

As your core temperatures rise, it's normal for the fans to speed up - but if you're not running any CPU/GPU intensive apps, it's not normal for your MBP to heat up or for the fans to run high. Download the free iStat Pro widget and either record or take a screen shot of your temps and fans speeds. Oh, and your MBP should not heat up just because you're using the power adapter.
