Hyperlink in Portal

Dear Experts,
I am using SRM MDM catalog 3.0 and hyper link Qualified table for Images. Below are values in Q.Table
Type --> 'Rendered'
MIME Type --. 'JPG'
URL --> xyz.jpg
URL DESC --> image of xyz
I am not able to see the URL in Portal side. Please let me know any setting required in OCI mapping or any other.
Please help me.
Regards
Jacob

Hi Jacob,
Please can you detail your issue. Are you not able to see field itself  OR you are able to see field but not the values as hyperlink..
If you are not able to see field then you have to configure the views in the SRM-MDM UI.
If field is visible then what are you seeing in that field? And how you want it to appear?...
Regards,
Shiv

  • Returning Hyperlinks in Portal Pagelets

    I created a component that stores announcements in a table that are posted in a pagelet in an employee portal. I would like to embed hyperlinks in the announcements, but they are presented as raw text in the return set.
    Is there a trick that I can use by changing the xsl code?
    The administrators will use an html editor to generate the code and will paste it in a text field to be saved to the database. When the pagelet launches, it will display a list of current announcements like:
    * There will be a Spring Book Fair at the Main Street Location, click here for more info.
    * All Manager Surveys are due by May 23

    Would't be easier to create component with a long field on it?
    The announcements that should be presented in the pagelet could be entered using the Rich Text Editor (introduced in PT8.50), which automatically stores the data in HTML and presents it as HTML, so you can have hyperlinks. PeopleTools provides all the necessarily features to accomplish this.
    See following demo I had created on Interwindow Communication and pay attention to the right pagelet, with hyperlinks.

  • Hyperlink to Portal iView

    Hi Portal Knowledgeable ones,
    I can not get a hyperlink on a HTML page to position the user on a different portal iView.  The custom HTML page exists on another web server (not the portal itself).  The custom HTML page displays in the portal using a "URL iView".  The link I am using works fine when I enter it alone in a web browser.  What am I doing wrong?
    Here is the link that I am using:
    <A HREF="Link to Other Role" onclick="return EPCM.doNavigate('https://myserver.company.com/irj/portal?navigationtarget=roles://portal_content/com.company.ROOT/com.company.Common/com.company.common.Roles/com.company.common.roles.ProfileManagement/com.company.common.iviews.ChangePassword')">
    Thanks,
    Kevin

    Hi Kevin,
    your URL iView is URL isolated, this means is rendered within an iFrame. So you cannot call EPCM directly, only via EPCMProxy; but also this must be loaded from the integrated HTML page, and - ! - the URL from where the pages gets loaded must be "relaxable" (if your portal is your.portal.server, the integrated site may be someother.portal.server).
    See http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/de/27/41b84033a8b533e10000000a155106/frameset.htm for EPCM proxy, see http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/de/b3/7b8163404448e7aad7899c0b30313e/frameset.htm and http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/de/2d/91e33edd37de63e10000000a11405a/frameset.htm for direct nav URLs and http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/de/43/0029d0e7371aa2e10000000a422035/frameset.htm for programmatically creating nav targets.

    In Portal
    Goto System Administration-Support-
    portal Runtime -Browse Deployment-:ROOT/WEB-INF/portal/portalapps/com.sap.portal.appintegrator.sap.bwc/lib

  • GridView vs DataGrid and gateway

    Used to use DataGrids and in a template field Hyperlink, the portal converts the link to a fully gatewayed link... GridView Hyperlinkfield does not get "gateway converted"? Thoughts? Guess I could use a TemplateField, but was hoping to use a more default solution.
    EDIT: it appears that a template column with a hyperlink in a GridView does not get "gateway converted" either, hmmmm. Back to tesing and tinkering
    EDIT: I am a moron....have to set the gateway prefix in teh Web Service.....jsut shoot me now! TGIF!

    Doh..built my web app in VS2008 w/o using the app accel / AquaLogicWCLoader. It started out as a LINQ o/r mapping experiment - but am trying to take a step further and get into the portal. I'll tweak the web app (referenes to idk and wcloader, web forms into partial classes inheriting from BEA.ALI.Web.UI.ALIPortletPage) and see if that fixes. I'll keep the group posted.
    Bah-zing! It worked. As usual, thanks again, Joel!

  • Hyperlink to Content Area from outside the portal

    I have a html page the has the url to my content area (ie.http://dev:7777/pls/portal30/PORTAL30.site?p_siteid=33). When I click on the link, I'm prompted for username/password, it then proceeds to the users default portal page NOT to the content area.
    Anything I can do to make it direct to the content area?

    Hi,
    I have the same problem. Have you found the answer?

  • Hyperlink to ABAP report in web portal

    Is there a way of linking to an abap report in the web portal system without using the www_get_selscreen function? R/3 version 4.0 and an ITS server is being used.
    The abap reports all work from system>services>reporting in the portal, but I'd like to offer a web page which just lists a couple of reports.

    Hi Durairaj, hi Karen,
    Well, if the transaction code is static and the username and password are static (meaning: technical user) it shouldn't be a lot of work to create an ITS-service-file that contains transaction, username and password hardcoded (and is also configured to prevent the user from changing the transaction within webgui).
    It prevents malicious users from getting to know the content of these parameters (because they aren't submitted anywhere and therefor you don't have to hide them) and through that you can also avoid to be able to change the transaction code (the service should be configured to prevent the user from changing the transaction within webgui).
    Then you would be on the safe side and you could also use an iframe to make the url calling the ITS service invisible too.
    OK: If there are three transactions needed there would be the need for three service files. But if it is a limited number of transactions this shouldn't be a lot of work.
    Karen, please contribute to this discussion and tell us if we are still helping you to solve your problem. ;o)
    Best regards,
    Henning.

  • Hyperlink and Report Parameters

    Hi,
    I have a webi report which has drill filters. I have a drill filter on Month_Name_And_Year column. When I select the drill filter it gives me the report for that particular month_year. In the webi I also have a hyperlink to a nre report which is a detailed report. When the user clicks on the hyperlink I would want them to open the report  for the drill filter value that I select. I believe i need to pass the drill filter value as a paramter and how would I be able to open the detail report for the drill filter that I have selected.
    the code as a hyperlink is as follows:
    ="<a href=http://dev/businessobjects/enterprise115/InfoView/scripts/opendocument.aspx?sType=wid&sDocName=A%20WEBI%20Curd%20Installations&sWindow=New&sPath=[Breed],[Portal Analytics],[Supplemental Services]>"+[Number Of Curd Sales]+"</a>"
    I would require guidance what changes i wil have to make it at hyperlink and the detail report level to have it in sync with the summary report.

  • Error message with a hyperlink attached to it

    Hi Friends
    I have a requirement wherein I need to display a hyperlink along with the error message in webui.
    Example...
    Please enter a valid currency Details
    Here Details should appear as a Hyperlink and on clicking on this hyperlink it should navigate to a portal screen.
    Infact it is not actually a portal screen, it can be any URL.
    Could you please let me know how to add the hyperlink and how to navigate to portal screen on clicking on this hyperlink
    where do we need to write the code.

    Edited by: ANILKUMAR M on Mar 3, 2011 7:23 AM

    Hi Anil.
    According to SAP Help you can always get a link in a message for:
    . Fields that are defined as mandatory in the UI Configuration Tool
    . Fields that are defined as mandatory in the business object layer (BOL)
    Also it's possible with additional coding. The example is:
    lr_msg_service = view_manager->get_message_service( ).
    lr_msg_service->add_message_mapping( iv_message_class = 'CRM_BRC_MESSAGES'
    iv_message_number = '013'
    iv_binding_string = '//BRCBUSINESSROLE/STRUCT.CRMUI_NAVBAR'
    iv_page_id = component_id ).
    Check this [link|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm700_ehp01/helpdata/EN/cb/659ebfc880493baad66896518a55a1/content.htm] for details. Look at "Navigation to Field That Issued a Message" section and related link for "Enabling Links in Messages".
    Another option, which mentioned Arun and according [to this book|http://www.sap-press.com/products/SAP-CRM-Web-Client-Customizing-and-Development.html], is the global message service. The global message service enables you to register callback methods so that you can output navigable messages, that is, you can initiate a navigation to another view (or do whatever you want ) by clicking the message. Registration of the message service for a message looks like:
    DATA: lr_service TYPE REF TO cl_bsp_wd_message_service.
    lr_service = me->view_manager->get_message_service( ).
    TRY.
      lr_service->subscribe_message(
                      iv_message_class = 'CRM_IC_PPL_UI_BDC'
                      iv_message_number = '114'
                      iv_subscriber = me
                      iv_activation = abap_true ).
      CATCH cx_bsp_wd_dupl_mess_subscr.
    ENDTRY.
    where is the ME self reference points to a view controller that implements the IF_BSP_WD_MESSAGE_HANDLER interface, including HANDLE_MESSAGE method.

    I can't get this value from request,also tried httpServeltRequest,but httpServletRequest can't get,it is null;
    so ,how to get this value,thank you very much.
    regards

    Hello,
    It is true for JSR168 portlets that you can't just arbitrarily set parameters on a URL and get access to them inside your portlet- you must use the appropriate APIs on the PortletURL class to set parameters that you can retrieve. This is the only portable (standards-compliant) way to implement the functionality you want.
    However, for your particular use-case, you can get the URL parameters from the (non-JSR168) HttpServletRequest object. The only reason you are getting a null object for that is because the attribute name is wrong. This should work:
    HttpServletRequest httpRequest = (HttpServletRequest)(request.getAttribute("javax.servlet.request"));
    String eventId = httpRequest.getParameter("eventId");

  • Authentication issue with Xcelsius/Portal integration

    I am facing an issue with the way we have integrated our Xcelsius dashboard with our corporate portal. I know this probably is more of a SDK question than Administration, but I figured I will ask it here anyway since Tim and some others are diverse enough in their knowledge base. This might be LONG post but please advise if anyone has any good pointers.
    We have an Xcelsius dashboard that needs to be served up via our corporate intranet (based on MS Sharepoint 2007). Now we are NOT using the MS Sharepoint Portal Integration Kit, but just doing a basic integration of the SWF call within a web part on Sharepoint. All this means is that within a portlet (web-part) on Sharepoint, I am making a HTTP call to the openDocument URL to invoke the SWF file. So the SWF is actually served up from our Tomcat App Server, and displayed onto this frame within the portal. That is the basic idea.
    To achieve this, what I did was write some custom code using the Java SDK to modify the openDocument a little bit. By doing so, I was able to insert some behind-the-scenes-login code wherein no matter who the portal user (Win AD-based) is, he is logged in to BOE as a generic "dashboard-user" and the dashboard is served up. This worked fine for the first dashboard where all we had was SWF and some WebI linking using openDocument (no full-InfoView access).
    But in this second dashboard now, what we also have is a hyperlink for users to get to InfoView to do Ad-hoc reporting. What this does is open a child browser window from within the portal (dashboard) --- and it remembers the BOE session for the generic user id "dashboard-user" and logs the end-user in to InfoView using that. But what I actually want is that the end-users, on this new window, should only be prompted at the traditional InfoView logon screen where they can manually enter their Windows AD password and get in. Thus, I would like to keep the dashboard SWF page session separate from the InfoView ad-hoc session, which I cannot seem to do because of the browser relationship and session maintenance.
    I am trying to find a way where I can simulate a single sign-on for dashboard viewers on the portal, but at the same time let them jump off to InfoView as themselves.
    Any thoughts on how I can do this?
    Notes:
    We DO NOT have Single Sign-On enabled for InfoView
    We are using Windows AD authentication (manual, no SSO)
    We are on Tomcat

    Sarang Deshpande wrote:
    1) If the InfoView app on Tomcat (desktoplaunch) is configured with Vintela, openDocument calls from the portal with automatically work using behind the scenes SSO, correct?
    in XIR2 everything that falls under infoview should SSO when infoview is setup for SSO (not the case in XI 3.x)
    Sarang Deshpande wrote:
    2) What is the best practice when it comes to the service accounts needed? I have implemented Windows AD manual auth already so I have a service account that use for that. Should I be using the same on and making vintela/SSO-specific changes to it...or should I have a separate vintela service account and deal with two different ones..each for a diff purpose?
    There is no best practice per se but the less service account the lower your chances to duplicate an SPN, functionally everything seems to work just as well with multiple as it does with 1 (of course with 1 there is less management work) If you click the SSO link in my forum sticky post I have a section explaining this with some suggested methods of deploying a service account(s)
    Sarang Deshpande wrote:
    3) Other than some minor browser configurations that might be required, is there anything else that I should communicate to the team about what might be required to be "pushed" to users' PCs?
    Using the default config nothing should be required on the client machine (unless SSO has been disabled in the browser or you intend to use a url that contains a period ..... (i.e. FQDN or IP) with hostname URL (the default) it should just work.
    To note if you have XP SP2 or older there is a microsoft spnego bug you may need to apply a fix if you aren't patched to SP3 (about 5% of our customers run into this).

  • Crystal Report (visual studio 2005)-Hyperlink not working on exported PDF

    I have created a crystal report by using VS 2005, there are some hyperlinks inside the report.
    After i exported the report to PDF, I check the PDF file, none of the link contains inside the PDF file.
    It seems a bug, i google this issue, some people can export to RTF first and then in RTF save as PDF, then the link should be there. I tried it, it works, but it totally mess up my report layout.
    Please advise,

    Typing the terms "pdf export hyperlink crystal" in the search box at the top right corner of this page comes up with the following KB (5th hit):
    [Hyperlinks to files do not work when exported to Portable Document Format (PDF)|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/oss_notes_boj/sdn_oss_boj_bi/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/scn_bosap/notes%7B6163636573733d36393736354636443646363436353344333933393338323636393736354637333631373036453646373436353733354636453735364436323635373233443330333033303331333233313336333633363337%7D.do].
    "Messed" up report export to RTF does not tell me much either. A link to a screenshot will be great.

  • Crystal Report Hyperlink to Sub-report or other report

    Hi,
    I would like to create a report on which the first part will show project summary page. The second part will have all project detail pages and third part with all project financial informations.
    The report should work in such a way whenever user clicks on any project at first summary page this has to jump to corresponding detail page of projects.
    I have the following question regarding design of this report.
    1. Do I need to create a saparate report as a sub report and then merge with main report in a footer section? Or is it ok to create sub-report within main report through sub-report wizard option?
    2. How can I establish hyperlink between the pages i.e. summary to detail pages?
    3. back hyperlink to first pages.
    I am expecting more information about hyperlink options within Crystal report.
    Thanks
    -Sunil Prasad

    Hi Sunil
    - For your first question: . Do I need to create a saparate report as a sub report and then merge with main report in a footer section? Or is it ok to create sub-report within main report through sub-report wizard option?
    You can create a separate report and then insert it as a subreport in the main report or create it with sub report wizard.
    Once you click on Insert -> Subreport, you can see there are two options, one is to point to an existing report and another is to create it through wizard.
    - 2. How can I establish hyperlink between the pages i.e. summary to detail pages?
    You can use the hyperlink between report objects.  Also you can apply a customized formula for this.
