I am having trouble figuring out how to get a date to show on a report

Hi,
I have a query with a structure on both my rows and columns.
In my columns, I have my key figures and on them are period/year restrictions. For example, the first column is the current fiscal period/year - 1 period, the next column is the current fiscal period/year - 13 periods (so I can compare this year to last year)
On my rows, I have a structure that is listing sales where on each line, I am restricting by groups of accounts.
What I need on my report is a header stating what the time period of the report is for. That is, the restriction of the current fiscal period/year -1 that is being placed on the first column also needs to be up in the page heading.
This is going to be hard to explain but here goes. My columns are reporting key figures constrained by time.

REPORTING FOR: Per/Yer (Which is equal to the date restriction that is on the first KF column, that is curr yr/period - 1 period)

SALES GROUP / RPT MONTH / LY
Mens / amount (restricted to curr year/period - 1) / amount (restricted to curr year/period - 13)
Womens / amount (-1) / amount (-13)
Childrens / amount (-1) / amount (-13)
I tired adding it to my row structure but since my KFs are constrained by per/year, I can not drop per/year onto my rows.
I tried to add a column showing time but BEx wants me to add a key figure (since the columns have key figures in them) so that does not work either.
How can I get the value of "current period/year - 1 period" to be part of the data (not a label) in the query so that I can put it into a header on my report.

Click on Query Property,
In General tab of Query Property, select New variable at Discreption.
Give Discription and technical name. Select Processing type Replacement path. select Reference Characteristic year/period. In replacement path tab, Select variiable with- Variable and Select your variable(which will give you previous fiscal year/ period- already exist or you have to create to get previous fiscal year period) and select Replace with - Label. Assign this variable in your query discreption

Apparently the phone is so old that I am unable to install Backup Assistant on it, which sucks. I have all my old contacts saved on my computer as a CSV and also another copy on a micro SD as VCF. I have tried moving the CSV from my computer to my ENV2 via both Bluetooth and USB cable, but had no luck with either of those. I also tried to pop the micro SD into the ENV2, and although I can load all my old pictures/videos/etc. from the micro SD, I do not seem to be able to restore the contacts from card. I know there has to be some way to manually transfer these files; the contacts are still on my old phone as well; but I was unable to use the transfer wizard for that because my old phonedoesn't seem to be supported by that (Pantech Jester 2)

Google a program called bitpim, that might do what you want. Never used it but it's been talked about on the forums. Other than that you might have to input them manually. Mary

Use File >> Save As
Choose a different file name so as not to overwrite the original and don't save any changes when closing the original.

Having trouble figuring out how to use trigger inputs as a general purpose input.

I'm trying to use "Trigger 1" as a general purpose input to indicate the status of external circuitry. I can't seem to get the "Read High-Speed Capture Status" to indicate anything. I'm using the "Configure High-Speed Capture" VI with the capture mode set to Inverting Digital Input, and that VI feeds into a Do-While loop which contains the "Read High-Speed Capture Status" VI, which has the Ret Vect set to 0. I see from the online help that the High-Speed Capture function is available on Servo and Closed-Loop stepper systems, which I suppose is to enable the ability to read the position of the encoders. I'm using an open loop stepper system, so are these High-Speed Capture fun

Thanks for the answer Ken. I'm going to try a different workaround. The global was too slow, and I think I'll break my subVI into two parts. I'll create a sub that has all the setup stuff in it, then embed the actual "check trigger status" loop in the main VI. The loop contains only 2 or 3 nodes. Too bad LabView works this way. I can see one reason it should, but another larger reason it shouldn't. Wishlist.... Oh, speaking of wishlist, I like the improvements that 6.0 has brought, but one thing still bugs me. There's no way to have LabView remember the place to look for files when it's first started. It defaults to "My Documents", which should be, as all LabView programers know "LabVIEW6\user.lib" (or whatever). Of course, once th
ere, LabView remembers for that session. Next time it's started, back to "My Documents" again. How 'bout fixing the "Options", "Path" settings so that it will actually remember the path set? Am I missing something here, or does it have anything to do with the fact that we're using Windows 98? My buddy's using NT, and his works the same. Is there a way around this? TIA, Rob.

If all you are going to do is print double sided and them make
a single fold reducing the page to 8 1/2 x 11, one side of the
original 17 x 11 page will be page 4 on the left as you hold
the page facing you and page 1 on the right, reverse side
should be printed so top is same as top on the the first side
and will be page 2 to the left and page 3 to the right. Pick
up the double sided document with pages 2 and 3 facing you, fold
left edge to meet right edge; you should now have fold on the left
with page 1 facing up toward you, turn the page as you normally
would and pages 2 & 3 should be in order, and one more turn brings
you to page 4 and the fold should know be on the right. I hope this
explains clearly enough - if not, post back and some one should
join in with a better explanation.

Well, the Import/Export instructions make it seem as if the two computers should be able to communicate this file thru wifi, but that's the linkage I can't seem tocreate with Import/Export. Should I instead email a copy to myself (thats what applecare suggested)? Copy it to and from a thumb drive? But then place the file where? And the article was helpful, but should I be trying to move the Library file or the Library.xml file (as iTunes Help suggests)? Sorry to be so clueless about it...I suppose I buy Apple in the hopes of not having to think about this stuff, which approach seems not to be serving me well. Thanks again for your time!

The banner usually indicates that the memo is "Paused." If you go back into voice memos, touch the word "Done" beside the big red pause button, give it a name, then it will show in a list. Touch the memo in the list then touch the trash can icon that should appear.

Edit > Preferences. Select the check box for Ringtones, this will add them to the listing in iTunes.

Un-sync all your music to remove it from the device, then restart (hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until you see the apple, then let go). Now re-sync your music.

Transferring some files from old hard drive to new mac book pro: How do I do this? I bought a SATA Wire, and can't figure out how to get my files

Hi there, my old mac book recently died and I opted to buy a new macbook pro, instead of pouring lots of money into the old computer. I was able to get my hard drive out, and I bought a 2.5" Sata Nootbook Drive Upgrade Kit. I have also installed superduper!....but I can't really figure out how to get everything to work. I just want to be able to take some of my files from my hard drive, not everything...
Any suggestions?

I don't know what a "2.5" Sata Nootbook Drive Upgrade Kit" is but if you have a internal drive you need to connect all you needed was a $20 IDE/SATA to USB adapter
You don't need Superduper, that's software designed to clone a entire Mac's boot drive to a external drive for bootable backup purposes using the same machine/make/model.
Since the new Mac is different than the old one you can't clone (well you could but it will break the machine) the old drive to the new one.
However you can use the adapter above and software Apple provides in the Utilities folder on the NEW MAC, called Migration Assistant to transfer your User to the new machine.
However this might not be the best course of action as it can transfer unwanted data and cause problems in the Library, old programs that won't run on 10.7, etc.
You can simply create the same named user on the machine (System Preferences > Accounts) log into it and then connect the external drive with the adapter and copy the contents of your users folders over and place into the same.
It's always good to have another Admin level user account on the machine in case the primary one has a User based issue and you need to log into the other and grab files. So if either manually or via using Migration Assistant you wind up with two user accounts on the machine, it's really not that big of a deal.

Have you double checked to make sure these Audiobooks are configured to sync to your iPod from under the iPod's Books configuration tab in iTunes? This is assuming that the audiobooks are already stored in your iTunes library and appear under the Books category.
To access this configuration tab, plug in your iPod and select it from under the Devices section in the left hand pane of iTunes to bring yourself to the iPod's Summary tab. Now locate the Books tab across the top in the main iTunes window and select it. Here you can configure what and how audiobooks are synced to the device.
If you make any changes to this tab, make sure to hit the Apply button on in the lower right hand corner. This will sync the updated changes to your device.
