The problem is, apparently, that you can neither open nor install iPhoto.
Seriously, you give us nothing to work with.
There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on 10 different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary depending on the version of iPhoto and the version of the OS. So to get help you need to give as much information as you can. Include things like:
- What version of iPhoto.
- What version of the Operating System.
- Details. As full a description of the problem as you can. For example, if you have a problem with exporting, then explain by describing how you are trying to export, and so on.
- History: Is this going on long? Has anything been installed or deleted? - Are there error messages?
- What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.

Since upgrading iPhoto to 2.0 (531) I can't create a new album while I'm sharing the photos. There is no button "+" or "create new album" where I want to put them. I can choose between existing albums, one of them is album called "iOS Photos".
iOS 7.0.3, iPad 4th Gen.

Do you know who I can ask about it?
I hope, someone who uses FB with iPhoto will look into this. YOu probably have already looked at the help page:

Two iphoto albums - should be the same, but extra images reported in one

I have two iphoto albums which in theory should contain the same images - but one is reporting around 5500 and the other around 5570 - is there a simple way to identify the additional 70 images ?

I guess at some point I must have added some files which are not on the phone - I can't think what and it probably doesn't matter - its just the not knowing that bugs me
You could create a smart album in your library on the 2009 iMac and search for photos that have not been taken by the iPhone camera:
This will show all photos you imported from other sources:
Try the command:
File > New Smart album
Then set the Smart rule to "Camera Model is" and select your iPhone.
After selecting the phone, switch the rule to "Camera Model is not", and you will see all photos that did not come from your iPhone.

What exactly is the material you have? What does item properties say about it? If it's too small you'll have to scale it up, but if you scale it up a lot it's going to get soft and pixely.

So many ways to create a DVD. What is the best?

Would love a little help here. First, every week I deliver a DVD to the local cable operation. It must have a menu so it parks itself until a timer kicks it on at the correct time. I edit in 720p then downconvert to SD when I create the DVD. To make matters worse, it feeds the system via a composite out. Yuch. With that info out of the way, what is the best way? I do not have DVD SP anymore, but I do have Toast Titanium, iDVD, and Compressor. I have been taking my master ProRes file and dropping it into iDVD with a menu of course. Tried Toast with mixed results. I like exporting right out FCP X to DVD, looks good, but on my home DVD player, it will not play but it will play on my computer and another DVD player. I am afraid to give that DVD to the cable company as it might not play. I have no idea why it will not play on my new household player. Anyway, what are your thoughts on how to creat a simple DVD to give to the cable company?

no fancy menus, no options, straight forward:
you can add a graphic as customized background (eg, for a copyright note)
you can choose btw two 'themes' - black or white
autostart, or for you: menu first

• you're creating a disk-image first (good) and burn that via Finder (wrong)
• for unknown reasons, your DVDplayer doesn't 'like' your brand of DVD-r - test on a 2nd one/change brand
• your internal disk-burner is 'dying' - that's how mine indicated its EOL: disks were only playable on that drive, then no more burn/play only ... months later totally kaputt ....
concerning 'best way'
I prefer iDVD as 'most convenient' + its many customizing options (=you don't need)
keep in mind, the max bitrate/best quality is accomplished in iDVD only with content length <60min
(content length: add menus play time!)
pretty sure, a professional could add the last 0.5% to perfection with other tools, such as DVDSP/Compressor

Albums-What's the Deal

I have been creating projects with many albums under each project. The other day the albums names all ganged up with the name of each album on top of each other until they were illegible. I tried to create new albums with the same names but got a message saying the album name was in use. I tried to delete the projects and albums but the list in the projects panel was such a mess it wouldn't delete. I then made a new project and tried to recreate the names of the albums under the new project and was told the album names were in use.
I changed the names and imported all of the files into the albums again.
I shut the computer down and went home for the day the next day I restarted the computer and Aperture and all of the projects and folders including the messed up ones were in perfect order again. However, I spent many hours
importing files and creating albums that never should have vanished.
Today, I created some new projects and folders. This time I deleted several projects and albums and created some new ones as well. After importing some images into albums in one project some of the albums in another project just disappeared. I tried to recreate the "lost" albums but again got the message the album name was already in use. The images are still in the library and in the Aperture package the albums and projects I had deleted were still there. This would probably be the reason I can't create albums with names I had already used. However, what does it take to delete these albums and projects so I can continue and why do albums keep disappearing?
This is happening on two different computers. The first time it was on my Quad today it is on my Powerbook G4.
Any idea why this is happening and what can I do to insure all of the work it takes to create projects and albums doesn't continue to be in vain?

I found the answer to my problem. If only I had read every post concerning
importing. The trick is choosing all projects instead of recent projects.
I guess recent means in the last five seconds.

How to create these effects? What is the most excellent effects resource on interwebs?

I always stumble upon excellent arts with effects I have no idea how to create. I bet most effects are very elementary and easy to create, but I just don't know how.

You may try and create overlays with raster images using opacity masks. Also try the blending modes.

I would like to create a new layout to view costs in a sales order.
path: view sales order (VA03), mark sales order item, go to environment cost report. At the moment the SAP standard layout 1SAP01 is shown.
first question: how can I assign this layout as default layout?
second question: how do I create the new layout, via report painter? can you give me a path or transaction code?

i found it myself. You define the groups in the cost component structure. this structure is assignen to the costing variant of each cost object.

A friend sent me a gallery. I select the pic I want and download. They show up on my screen in Preview. What's the best way to get them into my Iphoto library?

Drag them from where you downloaded them (Like the Downloads folder) and drop them on the iPhoto icon in the dock (little camera with the sunset behind it).
When you drag and drop an image on the iPhoto icon it imports that picture (or many pictures if you drag more than one at once).

When creating a new project, what is the best output format for TV?

I'm watching my iMovie creations on an LCD TV with 1080p. When I playback the mp4 format it always kinda looks worse than the original content.

I totally agree. The only way I have found to get good HD quality is to first output the edited camcorder file BACK to the camcorder. Then play that on your HD TV and you get real HD. Unfortunately you cannot do this with the newer versions of IMovie. Maybe there is another way but i can't find it.

Yes, assuming that the printer is located where it can receive a strong wireless signal.

Follow the steps provided by Canon to install the printer and have it "join" the wireless network that will be provided by the Time Capsule.

Custom tables create in Apps schema ( What are the problems with this?)wwww

I'm a dba in a new environment where a number of custom schemas are being created in the apps schema. I know this is not considered Oracle's best practice and I would like to make some recommendations for a change. Before doing so, I would like to know the problems that are associated with custom tables living in the apps schema. We are currently on 11.5.10.2 on AIX. Also, if someone can point me to any "Official" customization standard or Oracle documention where I can backup my case it would be greatly appreciated.

When creating SCCM boot.wim what modifies the winpeshl.ini file?

I need to add a command to run before tsbootshell.exe in the winpeshl.ini. Other than cracking the boot wim and manually modifiying winpeshl.ini how can it get Configmgr to do this automaticlly? The post for putting it in the unattend does not work for me
because tsbootshell.exe has already run at that point so the only place i can make this modification is in winpeshl.ini.

I discovered that you can create a customized winpeshl.ini file in this location and it will be automatically be integrated into the final boot image when you use SCCM to update or create new boot images. I think you're trying to do exactly what I was trying
to do and this should do the trick.
