I am not able to shutdown the database by using stopsap

Dear all,
As mentioned in the subject "I am not able to shutdown the database by using stopsap". I am getting the following errors:
exec(): 0509-036 Cannot load program oracle<SID> because of the following errors:
0509-150   Dependent module libjox9.a(shr.o) could not be loaded.
        0509-022 Cannot load module libjox9.a(shr.o).
0509-026 System error: A file or directory in the path name does not exist
R3 is terminated correctly by using the command stopsap and also I am able to shutdown the database normally by using the SQL command.
Thanks for your cooperation.
Maher

Thank you Nick for your care.
I will test start/stop manually later; because the system is active and used by the users for testing purpose (not production).
Yes, LIBPATH is the same for both users.
The ownership/permisssion for the both files is
-rwxr-xr-x   1 <SID>adm   sapsys    stopdb
-rwxr-xr-x   1 <SID>adm   sapsys    startdb
I compared with production, it seems ok.
I started DBCheck by using the transaction DB13 and also it failed due to same errors.

Here I am using Java Type IV for database
    connection.
So,there was no necessity of creating DNS.How your app communicates with db shouldn't matter for the end user. Still, you may want to use a functional network name also for the thin client driver connection string.
So,is there any other way to solve this problem. What is the problem really? Do you not use dns for network naming? Maybe you have to manage the hosts file on every client then.

  • Not able to access the Database & Clusterware from OEM Console.

    hi,
I had installed Oracle RAC 11g R2 in RHEL 5.3 Operating environment. I had installed my Oracle RAC with Enterprise Manager Console.
Its with the defailt port 1158. After the installation when i try to access my EM Console, i was not able to access the Database and Clusterware from EM Console.
When i access the EM console with url, I found with Startup and Perform Recovery option. But whereas my database is already startup and running.
So when i click startup its saying database is already started. Since it is a prodution environment i dont want to go with Perform recovery option.
Please tell me hw to attach files in this thread so that i can send the snap shot of the console for your reference.

    hi,
As mentioned due to not having the default listener port 1521, we are facing this problem.
As meniotned i had changed the emoms.properties file and changed the port and my emctl page is opening.
But am not able to access the other parameters like ASM, Servers, Clusters etc bcoz since in some file it is looking for 1521 default port.
So is it better to go for emctl deconfig and config again or to change the port the files which required.
If i do in what are the file the default port will be located related to emctl.

  • The server principal "XYuser" is not able to access the database "Ydb" under the current security context

SQL2005 on winserver 2003. I have a view in Xdb that accesses tables in 2 different databases (Xdb and Ydb) on the same server. I have mixed mode security. I have a SQL user (XYuser) that has read access to all tables and views on both databases, yet when I try to access the view using a C# windows application I get the following error:
The server principal "XYuser" is not able to access the database "Ydb" under the current security context
This same scenario works under SQL 2000. I looked through the postings and tried to set TRUSTWORTHY ON on both databases but that didn't help. I can access any other views or tables on the SQL 2005 server, just not the one that joins the tables cross databases. Any help is much appreciated... john

This appears to be a Login/Database Mapping issue.  I was having this problem, but was able to resolve it as follows:
Using the SQL Server management Studio:
In the Object explorer, under the SERVER security folder (not the database security folder), expand Logins.
That is: ServerName -> Security -> Logins
NOT: ServerName -> Databases -> DatabaseName -> Security -> Users
Select the Login that is having the troubles.  Right click on the Login and select ‘Properties.’
The ‘User Mapping’ page should list all databases on the server with a check mark on the databases that the Login has been mapped to.  When I was getting the error, the database in question was not checked (even though the Login was assigned as a User on the database itself).  Map the Login by checking the box next to the database name.  Set the default schema.  Then select the roles for the Login in the Database role membership list box.  I selected db_datareader and public.  After clicking OK to save the changes, the problem was resolved.
In order to ‘Map’ the Login, the Login must not already be as User on the database, so you may have to go to the database security (ServerName -> Databases -> DatabaseName -> Security -> Users) and delete the Login from the list of database Users before mapping the Login to the database.

  • CC&B not able to connect the database

I have Welogic with Oracle CC&B 2.3.1 Installed on my local laptop.
I have local database also in my laptop (oracle 11g). While doing spl start I am able to access CC&B with weblogic using local database.
But when in configureEnv.cmd I changed database configuration to other database which is located on Unix box
My Laptop have 32-bit window 7.
In ConfigureEnv i gave all credentials of other database to which I am trying to connect. But I am facing below issue.

  • Not able to create a database link using the database gateway of oracle 11g

    HI,
While trying to create a database link to SQL server from Oracle ,using the database gateway provided with 11g, i am getting the following error while making use of it in selecting columns from tables :
Error starting at line 1 in command:
    select * from test1@dblink
    Error at Command Line:1 Column:20
    Error report:
SQL Error: ORA-28513: internal error in heterogeneous remote agent
    ORA-02063: preceding line from DBLINK
These are the steps i have followed for setting up:
1.Ran the set up for the Database gateway.and mentioned the SQL server name and database .ALos set up a listener.
    2. Added the following in the Listener.ora of Oraclehome 11/NETWORK/ADMIN:
    LISTENER_SQL_FCD =
    (DESCRIPTION_LIST =
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS_LIST =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST =localhost) (PORT = 1541)
    SID_LIST_LISTENER_SQL_FCD =
    (SID_LIST =
    (SID_DESC =
    (SID_NAME=dg4msql)
    (ORACLE_HOME= D:\app\20537\product\11.1.0\db_3)
    (PROGRAM=dg4msql)
    3.Added the following in tnsnames.ora inOracle home/NETWORK/ADMIN:
    dg4msql=
    (DESCRIPTION=
    (ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=tcp)(HOST=localhost)(PORT=1541))
    (CONNECT_DATA=(SID=dg4msql))
    (HS=OK)
    4. Following is the entry in initdg4msql.ora in C:\product\11.1.0\tg_5\dg4msql\admin:
    HS_FDS_CONNECT_INFO=10.148.45.242:1433//SalesDemo
    HS_FDS_TRACE_LEVEL=DEBUG
    HS_FDS_RECOVERY_ACCOUNT=RECOVER
    HS_FDS_RECOVERY_PWD=RECOVER
    5. Created the database link :
    create database link dblink
connect to "sa" identified by "<pswd>"
    using 'dg4msql'
On running :select * from test1@dblink i get the following error:
Error starting at line 1 in command:
    select * from test1@dblink
    Error at Command Line:1 Column:20
    Error report:
SQL Error: ORA-28513: internal error in heterogeneous remote agent
    ORA-02063: preceding line from DBLINK
Is there any issue with the set or definition that I get the above error?

What is the version of the Oracle database in which you have specified/and use the database link?
If it is for example 10.2.0.3.0 you need to apply the mandatory patch for RDBMS bug 5965763 first before being able to use an 11g gateway. Have a look at MetaLink note 457808.1 for details about this patch.

    Ed

  • Why two different users from same login group not able to access the database object(stored procedure)?

I have SQL login group as "SC_NT\group_name" in server. There are multiple users using this login group to access database objects. User "A" can able to access db object(stored_procedure_1) from .net application. But when user "B"
tried to access same db object(stored_procedure_1), its showing like
Error: The EXECUTE permission was denied on the object 'stored_procedure_1', database 'test',schema 'dbo'.
Both the users are using windows authentication for access the objects. Could you suggest me the way to resolve this?
    Venkat

    Thanks for your response
    Erland Sommarskog....
    my stored procedure "stored_procedure_1"
does not has any granted permissions to execute. But still user A
able to execute the sp from UI, where user B not able to do it.  If any permission provided for a particular object, then only it will display in the above query whatever u have given.
    Any other possibilities??

After finishing installation the dbca started when i click the final finish....
    DBCA throws the error....
you do not have enough free disk space to create the database.
you need at least 14738432 KB on /tmp/, you have only 4689920 KB available
please allocate more free disk space.i have allocated 5 gb for /tmp ..... is it not enough? am i have to allocate 15 gb as specified above?
    thanks

    Hi,
i didnt set it to /tmp.....when i do the runinstaller from cd....automatically its going to /tmp.....
so how can i change this? You can try copying oracle database software to hard disk and then give another try in the install.
    Check thisd out:
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/install.102/b15660/inst_task.htm#CIHBADCC

    HI All,
Following is the solution of this problem.
Before execution F.14. just visit at FBD3 TCode with your recurring document number.
Click on GOTO-> Recurring entry data.
There you find one field called Next Run on...... please enter this date while running F.14 TCODE.
    It will work.
Or else check for the Delete document checkbox on the same popup screen.
Reward if  you got your solution.
    Thanks

  • Not able to start the database

I have installed Oracle Database 10g on my PC. It was working fine untill today.
When i tried to start Oracle, error messages appear -
    *"isqlplussvc.exe was not found"*
    and
"This application has failed to start because orancds10.dll was not found."
What could be the reason for these errors and what could be the work around?
    Please help!!!

This application has failed to start because orancds10.dll was not found ...There's something wrong in your environment. Either you don't have this (and maybe others) file in %ORACLE_HOME%\bin or you lost the file for whatever reason.
Check your PATH variable, whether it contains %ORACLE_HOME%\bin . And ORACLE_HOME must be the one from Developer Suite 10g, not the old 8i home.
If you have a corrupted environment you may have to reinstall.

So I have connected the test equipment with GPIB cables and have fired up MAX to see the test equipment that I have. I have refreshed the confuguration tree and I keep geting the following message when I look at the devices and interfaces I get a "MAX Database connection error". I am using Labview 8.2.
Any idea what I have hosed up?

    Regards,
    Kaspar

    Hey Kaspar,
There are a lot of Knowledgebases on this topic, e.g. http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/B9107A7F281F9B408625720B0078E5A8?OpenDocument
In the most cases it helps to clear the MAX data folder, which is also descriped in this KB.

Cluster and ASM is up and running.
ORA-01078: failure in processing system parameters
LRM-00109: could not open parameter file '/oracle/app/oracle/product/11.1.0/db_1/dbs/initTMISC11G.ora'

That is wre the confusion is: I coud nt find it under O_H/dbs,
However the log file indicates that it is using spfile which is located at :
    spfile = +DATA_TIER/dintw10g/parameterfile/spfile_dintw10g.ora
Now it checks only the /dbs directory only i guess.
Could you please how can i bring it up now.
Just for the information: ASM instance is up.

  • Not able to post the invoice cancel MR8M document

    Dear All,
I am not able to cancell the invoice document using MR8M transaction. System is showing the message as "balance not zero, difference between debits & credits"
Invoice document is created in the FY 2006 as a credit memo, and now i want to reverse/ cancel it by using MR8M transaction.
Pl. let me know the possibilities & checks required for cancellation of it.
    Regards
    Mangesh

    hi,
2006 documents cannot be reversed now since the posting period will be closed.
I think there is no solution. the only solution is
If the vendor is  live and supplying any material adjust against them.
