I am running a strain gage test and can't get more than 1000 samples
A formor employee left a strain gage VI that I am attempting to reuse but no matter what I do I can,t get more than 1000 samples before needing to restart the loop. In the task timing (of NI-DAQmx) I have set the acquisition mode to N Samples and the clock settings to read 65000 samples at 25 Hz. There is a DAQmx timing(sample clock) VI that resets to finite samples and 1000 per channel when I close it but I have reset it to 65500 continious samples and left it open to no avail. There is a rate input to this sample clock on the front window that I have tried setting to several different rates to no avail. The Vi will run about 15 seconds, collect 1000 samples and then ask to verify the file location to save the data to. Upon verifying the file location the VI will run another 15 sec. loop before stopping for verification again.
If the loop is stopped rather thanhaving the file verified an error is listed:
Error-200278 occurred at DAQmx Read (Analog 1d WFm NChan NSamp).vi:1
The given possible reason given is: attempted to read a sample beyond the final sample acquired.
When I stop attempting to run the VI the block diagram opens with a dark block around file creation block. I need this VI to run for 10 min. collecting samples at about 25/sec. Can someone help me figure out what I am doing wrong?
I have made screen shots of the VI and the error code to assist finding the incorrect programing.

I was just thinking about being able to increse the size of the doc. for better visability. I have tried working with the rate input for the DaQmx for the sample clock and it does change the frequency of sampling, but I still get just the 1000 samples. I have included Jpegs this time. I have tried to exppand the two DAQ assistants that arn't expanded but am unable to, I also am unable to find a "propertys" command to open them up and see what exactly they do. The nested while loop for output also seems strange to me. Maybe I would be better to attempt a new program but being new to the language I thought using an existing program might be best.

You create an @icloud.com address in the first place by signing into Settings>iCloud with your Apple ID and choosing an addres - you can only create an @icloud.com address, not @me.com.
Then if you want further addresses on the same account you can add up to three 'email aliases' - these are additional addresses (not accounts) which deliver into the same inbox as the main account. (In fact it's a good idea to give out alias addresses, rather than the main address, because if they attract spam you can easily change them.) (New aliases can only be @icloud.com ones; @me.com addresses cannot now be created.)
You should be aware before you start that once you've created an alias you cannot turn that address into a full iCloud account or move it to another account.

Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now. -

Can I get more than 2 StartTrig and 2 REQ inputs from a PCI 6534 card ?
I have an application where I like to use one 6534 card to receive several digital inputs. The digital inputs are a clock, data and a start trigger pulse. I have 3 sets meaning that I need to receive 3 clocks, 3 start trigger pulses and 3 data inputs, all independent of each other. So, is there any way to configure the 6534 card to trigger on a pulse connected to StartTrig, then sample data on each clock but do this for 3 inputs. I'm using pattern generation in which I tie one clock to the REQ1 and another clock to REQ2 as well as connecting my start trigger pulses to StartTrig A and B inputs, repsectively. So, I've run out of starttrig and req inputs.

Unfortunately, the 653x family only allows 2 different and independent handshaking groups. So, it's not possible to have three independent lines being clocked by 3 diferent clock signals.

So here's my situation. I'm using Logic Pro 9. I'm trying to use multiple drum tracks each with different Ultrabeat settings. So let's say I have drum track with a loop from Ultrabeat that has the "downtempo kit 2" setting on it. If I make another drum track and create a different loop in Ultrabeat with a different setting, let's say "hip hop kit" for example, and put that loop onto the new track, then the previous loop that I had in the first drum track will still be the same loop but the sound kit settings change to that of "hip hop kit." So I can have different loops, but they all have to be "hip hop kit" settings or "downtempo kit 2" settings. I am unable to multiple kit settings. Is there a box I need to check to turn some automation off or something, because this is pretty inconvinient? Why do I have to have only one Ultrabeat sound/kit setting per Logic project?
Sounds like maybe you're using the same channel strip on multiple tracks? Make sure you're creating a new software instrument channel strip for each independent instance of Ultrabeat you want to have. If you use the same CS, then all tracks that use it will have to have the same kit.

Trying to upgrade to Lion on my 20" iMac that I bought in Nov. 2007. Currently I'm running on MAC OS X version 10.6.8. When I tried to buy the upgrade I got a response that Lion requires 2 GB of memory and I only have 1 GB. Yes you can install more RAM. Up to 6 GBs. Two - 200-pin PC2-5300 (667MHz) DDR2 SO-DIMMs. For the maximum use one 4 GB and one 2 GB. Otherwise install a pair of 2 GB modules for a total of 4 GBs.
You can purchase suitable RAM at DataMem or OWC. OWC also has video tutorials on installation. -

I have Imac i5 late 2009 running OS X 10.8.4 and can't get FireWire connection to work with LaCie external drive. I have gone through older posts and tried with no luck power cable and holding down start button for 15 seconds and restoring power and also removing power cable waitng 10 minutes replugging power cable holding down alt command P, R keys until second beep is heard. I know that LaCie drive and cable are working, they were connnected to another iMac without issues. What options do I have left to get FireWire to work? The System Report just says

CSI did not mention in original post that when initially connected to the Firewire port the LaCie drive I can hear activity so the drive is getting power. Does this mean the Firewire port may not be physically damamged and there may be options for resetting? Are there any 3rd party software repair programs worth buying for diagnostics and repair of the FireWire port?

What version of iPhoto do you have (9.0 is the original version from a couple of years ago - you should be way past that - at least 9.1 - probably 9.2 - maybe 9.3)

Trash your preferences. Trash your project render files. Switch off background rendering. Export without using the computer for anything else.
Oh, and if you're using 10.9 switch off App Nap.
