I am travelling through Europe and fear I have lost all of my photos-.please help asap.
I have a macpro currently running OS X 10.7.5
I thought I updated from iphoto 6 (as recommended) but am unable to find the new version in my downloads and now I am unable to access my photos as when I try to open iphotolibrary6. I get the following message
Library6.iPhoto The photo library needs to be upgraded to work with this version of iPhoto
Your photo library will not be readable by previous versions of iPhoto aftr the upgrade. The upgrade process for very large libraries may take an hour or more to complete.
f I click on 'quit' I am unable to open iPhoto if I click on 'upgrade' this message then appears
You can't open your current photo library using this version of iPhoto.
You have made changes to your photo library using a newer version of iphoto. Please quit and use the latest version of iphoto.
How to do i get the latest version of iphoto when there appear to be no updates available. Confused and very anxious. Please help.

Reset your iPad and see if that fixes this.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up. -

It can't do that by itself. You had to click through several prompts telling it to restore it from a backup of an old phone for that to happen.
If the phone was not backed up to iCloud before this happened, or to another computer, then the data is gone. There is no way to recover it. -

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

Sorry for your wait. Okay so let's try re-connecting with iTunes on your computer and syncing your device. This may give you all your stuff back. Sync in Music tab.

Select Restore.
Tell iTunes which of the available backup files to use, let iTunes restore it.

For the charging via USB, a lot of computers don't provide enough power to their USB ports to charge an iPad at a sufficient rate (it may still be charging, especially if the iPad's is locked and the screen is off), the iPad's own wall charger is generally the best way to charge it. -

My phone went into recovery mode and had to be factory restored, I hadnt backed it up to either the cloud or a computer in a long time and therefore I have lost all of my messages. Is there anyway to get the messages without a recent backup?

It should ne in itunes on your computer and included in your regular backup of your computer.
If for some reason you have failed to backup your music, then - in the U.S only - you can get previous itunes purchases from the beta version of icloud. Open itunes store, click Purchased, under Quick Links. -

Albums is a way or sorting photos. Photos aren't moved from the Camera roll. The Camera Roll consists of all the photos on the phone. If you delete from Camera Roll they are deleted everywhere but Photo Stream.
Are you using Photo Stream? Your photos, providing they wer recent should still be in Photo Stream. If you have Photo Stream set up on your computer they should all be there.
