I am trying to create a pop up page, using iweb 08

I want to create a custom size pop up page using iweb08, using a html generator, I created the html code, I plugged it in using the html snippet widget. But its not working. Do you know what I am doing wrong?
I love the look of http://jquery.com/demo/thickbox/ but I really don't understand the instructions, and if I did would it work with iweb?
I have to say, I am pregnant, and my brain isn't working as well as it usually does. So please think of me as a not very intelligent person when you are explaining how to create the pop up.

You may want to consider Lytebox: http://www.dolem.com/lytebox it's much lighter than jquery & thickbox.

I have integrated Lytebox into iWeb, but it involves with quite a bit of coding; I'm planning on writing an app to automatically generate all needed the code.

Well, I dont think I fully understand your intentions or
goals are. However, from what I gather so far, you could output the
data into pdf files. But like I said I dont understand what your
trying to achieve. As far as the errors with <..etc, if they are
included and you are trying to produce results those characters
very well could cause problems when you are trying to do something
that they were not intended to do.

How to raise a pop-up page using HTMLB

Hi friends,
   Can anybody tell me how to raise a pop-up page using HTMLB.But don't use webdynpro.
I want to set a TextField on PAGE A,and a button ,when i click the button,
it raise up a page B,Page B contains a HTMLB tree,when i click the tree node,
The textfield value in Page A will get the node text.

In case of HTMLB you can use javascript to pop up the new page on click of the button.
onClientClick="popUpMethod();" of button call a java script method popUpMethod(). which will call the other page. below is the code for opening other page as pop up

in this method you just need to change the name of your htmlb page like T1Report.htm with your html page.

Trying to create DLL from VI to use in TestStand.

I trying to create a DLL out of an existing VI file. The VI has about 4 inputs and about 3 outputs. If I go to Tools >> Build Application and select the Build Target as a "Shared Library (DLL)" i get a dll after the build; but when I try to call that DLL from teststand, it doesn't recognize any of the inputs or outputs. How do I build a DLL so that teststand will reconize the inputs and outputs?

The controls and indicators are connected to the connectors. Also, answering an earlier post, the prototype information for the inputs and outputs are not automatically displayed. I can manually define the prototypes, but then the question is how does each prototype link to its corresponding parameter (by name?). I've also tied creating just a simple VI that has just one string input and one string output. I built the VI to a DLL and tried calling in TestStand and i get the same results. I've inserted the resulting header file after that build. Which, by the way, looks exactly like my other created DLL's header file. The difference in bold(the name of the VI). Which makes me thik that my build DLL process might be off.

Trying to create index cards in pages

Hello,
I am trying to create a 3x5 flash card template to study, and can't find an easy way to set this up on Pages. I need to make about 150 double-sided cards with text on the front, and text wrapped around a small picture on the back. So I need to create an efficient system to plug in data as well as a picture for all of these items. I've tried several things so far:
1) Create a blank document 8.5x11 landscape orientation, then pull the guides down to fit 4 cards on a page. I would then ideally enter the info, print double-sided, then cut with a paper cutter. This formatting works fine for the first page, but I can't seem to replicate this page or the guides onto subsequent pages (guides can't be made to master objects I guess). If I try to select all 4 text boxes, copy, then paste them into the next page they for some strange reason scale down in size, so I lose the dimensions and placement of the boxes.
2) Create a brand new template with aforementioned guides and text boxes. And again, when I tried this I couldn't get the page and formatting to be replicated to subsequent pages. When I made the text boxes into master objects to try and achieve this, all text I enter into them gets replicated into every subsequent box, which is not what I need because I need unique text on each card.
3) Create a 3x5 page size document, which works ok but I cannot get a placeholder image to be replicated to subsequent pages. That means I need to drag the pictures on and format them one by one, which is again time-consuming. This is also tricky because I need to find a printer that handle printing directly onto index cards, which is a little specialized compared to printing on standard letter paper.
I've also searched the forums and google to try and find add-ons or shareware that can do this, but haven't come up with anything!
This is weird because surely I am not the only student who wants to create index cards on the computer rather than by hand! Please help..my final is next week..

Try to "capture" your first page thru the menu Format > Advanced > Capture Pages"
Then you will be able to insert a new page with the defined attributes from the menu entitled "Sections" in the toolbar.

Can you please provide the following details :
1. What is the execution area of your sequence ? Is it source or staging or Target.
2. What IKM you are using ( I hope you are executing sequence in Staging or Target ) ?
My understanding is when you check Not Null , all your rows are going to Error table. So it is not giving any error.
When you uncheck the Not Null , it is giving error because Database is not allowing Null values in the Primary Key Column.
You can do the following to check if your sequence is working properly.
Try to write a Insert Select query in DB and execute it and see if it is working properly.
i.e.
insert into      EMPL     (
     EMPNO,
     ENAME,
     JOB,
     MGR,
     HIREDATE,
     SAL,
     COMM,
     DEPTNO
select      S_EMPNO.NEXTVAL,
     ENAME,
     JOB,
     MGR,

or if you can provide your query in this format , it will help in finding the issue quickly.Also provide the KM details.

Create PDF from Web page using Acrobat 9 Pro

I am trying to create a PDF file from a web page. The alt tags for images is not being recognized, and the reading order bounces all over the page (not the order of the web page). For example, the 1st text item on the page is #7 in the reading order, and the #1 item is an image half way down the page. All the documentation I can find says Acrobat will read top to bottom, left to right, but it's not. Any idea how to fix it?

Create PDF from Web page using Acrobat X - Page Order

I have a structured web site that is in fact Program Help The web pages are structured as follows:
index.html - Main Topic Index page with links to all topic subject index pages
topic/index.html - Topic Subject Index Page with links to all subject pages
topic/subject.html - Subject page
.....etc
Using Acrobat 5 "Create PDF from Web Page" created a perfect logical PDF page structure in the page order of of the web site. In Acrobat 5 page 1 was the Main Topic Index Page, page 2 was the 1st Topic Subject Index Page, page 3 was the 1st Subject Page, then the 2nd subject of the 1st Topic, etc. until the Topic Subjects were exhausted after which the 2nd Topic Subject Index Page and so it went on. As a result the bookmark structure was sensible. The page order was as follows:
Main Topic Contents
Topic 1 Contents
Subject 1 of Topic 1
Subject 2 of Topic 1
Topic N Contents
Subject 1 of Topic N
Subject 2 of Topic N
Acrobat X (just purchased) produces a differently structured PDF from the same HTML pages. The order is:

How i create my own blog by using iWeb?

note that there is function called iWeb installed in my Macbook Air, however, i dont' know to start or what step i should follow to create my own blog by using that function?

iWeb is not a function. It's an Application. One of many on your computer.
You use iWeb to create a website with webpages, including a blog.
You open iWeb the same way you open other applications.
When in iWeb you can choose from themes. Each theme has a collection of pages. The name of each page indicates its purpose.
To learn more about iWeb you can use the Help. Help is not unique to iWeb. All applications have a Help function. Which is usefull if you do not know what a function, or in your case, the application can do.

Trying to create a pop-up window creates 2 identical windows

Hello,
I am trying to accomplish the following:
Clicking text in my webpage and causing a small pop-up window to open. I have tried this 2 ways: the first way, I get a new tab in my browser, but it is full-sized; the second way, I get a new tab in my browser AND a small pop-up window.
Here's the first way:
1. highlighting the text that should be an "object."
2. entering a URL in "Link."
3. defining the "Target" as _blank
This opens my link in a new browser tab. This is good, but I'd like this to be a smaller pop-up window so that my full-sized webpage remains in the background. Please note that if I select any other option for the "Target" or leave that box empty, my webpage is replaced by the url entered in the "link",
Here's the second way:

4. selecting "open browser window" in "behaviors" and defining that window as a smaller size
This opens my link in a new browser tab AND opens a smaller pop-up of that same link. My webpage remains in another browser tab, but is not showing in the background (I have to close both the pop-up and new browsesr tab in order to get back to my webpage).
Dreamweaver doesn't allow me to leave the "Link" field blank and select "open browser window" in "behaviors," which I believe is causing thi redundancy. Since my "object" is not an imported image, but rather, text (such as "click here" that I hope to turn into an object), I wonder if I have to import some kind of file (e.g. jpg, etc. ) as an object in order to achieve my goal. Can anyone tell mw what I'm doing wrong?

Thank you for your reply--since you need to use javascript for this, I take it this is either not possible or very difficult to do in Dreamweaver?
I'm going to try your script. May I ask a few questions first?
1. Can I do this for multiple links on one page, and if so, which parts would I repeat and where/ how?
2. Which of the values in quotations below do I replace with my own data? I think it's "my-file.htm," "A PopUp Window of Helpful Search + Information Links" and "open_links()"?
3. For the part that goes "anywhere you want in the body," do you mean by "body" the general section with that type of data in it? Or does that mean anywhere on the page?
4. Finally, If I prefer not to create a button, but rather, to leave it as text with a highlighted color for a link, is that possible? I think it would require an input type other than "='button'", but what are my other options?

Q: are you trying to log in, or not? Have you done anything to enable you application to enable security?
My suggestion is you give some detail about your application so people can understand what your problem might be. The screenshot is great, but it is not enough. I would like to help you, but if you go about this like a scientist and give everybody as much detail as you can, I am sure you will get better response on this urgent issue.

Trying to create a latching push button using digital inputs

Hi everyone,
I'm writing a program to control a motor with 3 push buttons, Up, Down and Stop. I want the Up button to latch when pushed and delatch when Stop or Down are pushed. I've tried the Resettable Latch.vi example program from this website but no luck. It seems like the output from the AND gate is indeterminate. I've attached my program, Any help would be great! Use Index Array to get the single boolean you want from the array. If you don't wire an index it will give you element 0. Using this you could have all the switches wired to different pins of the same register on your DAQ device. Then you could read one byte and sort out which bit does what. You also need to build the individuale booleans into an array before writing to the DAQ. Here's a quick example:
You need to decide which button sets which bit. I haven't checked the logic of your latch algorithm yet.
