I am trying to install the Firefox Sync add-on on my desktopin order to install Firefox on my ipod touch 4g but I can't locate the link to create an ID, password & secret phrase.Where is this ?

Greetings!
Follow these five steps to set up Firefox Home and get access to your desktop Firefox history, bookmarks and even your open tabs on your iPhone:
1.
Install the free Firefox Sync add-on on your desktop.
Firefox Home uses the sync capabilities from the Firefox Sync add-on to access your Firefox browser information and securely send it to your iPhone.
2.
Once Firefox restarts, follow the prompts to create an account with both a password and a Secret Phrase.
Firefox Home uses your Secret Phrase to locally encrypt and protect your information.
3.
Firefox Sync will now begin securely synchronizing your data with our service. This initial synchronization may take up to 20 minutes.
Firefox Sync will only work if you are not in Private Browsing mode. Once your initial synchronization is complete, you'll see a Last Update time in the Tools > Sync menu.
4.
To complete the setup, on your iPhone enter your account, password and Secret Phrase in the field provided and tap 'Done' on the keypad.
If you're having trouble logging in, click here for help.
5.
Once complete you will be able to access your desktop bookmarks, history, and open tabs on your iPhone.

Firefox 2.0.0.20 is the last ever version of Firefox for Win98 / SE / ME.
You can get it from here, but you are better off using K-Meleon (derived from Firefox) or Opera instead an old version of Firefox:

You can try KernelEx to get Firefox 3+ to work, but it would be very slow with an old PC of less than 750Mhz. 3.5 and later supposedly doesn't work.

If you don't have the Apple ID and password, how did you get Mountain Liomn in the first place? Without the Apple ID and password, you'll need to buy it to download it.

My wife’s 2012 Macbook Pro has Yosemite and is using Wi Fi for the internet connection.
Every time, both on startup and awaking from sleep, a window appears on the desktop with a locked icon saying, “Networksetup is trying to modify this system. Type your password in to allow this”.
The window (which can’t be moved or dragged) shows the computer’s user name. The password has to be repeatedly typed in as many as 10 times and the highlighted ‘modify configuration’ box clicked before the window disappears and the computer then functions normally.
Needless to say, this is driving my wife up the wall… I would certainly appreciate information on how to get rid of this troublesome window!

To stop the pop-up, Go to System Preferences: Security. Check the box next to "Require password to unlock each secure system preference." Then lock Security.

With all you media (apps, music) in the iTunes library connect the iPod to the computer and make a backup. Do that by right clicking on the iPod under Devices in iTunes and select Back Up. Then restore the iPod from that backup.
Note the the iPod backup that iTunes makes does not included synced media like apps and music.
