Hi,
I created a new element to my WF container: 'Object_id'. I binded it to my decision task also. I am calling this workflow from a method:

This workflow gets triggered but the problem is that it is not showing object id in task. I have used following description in task:
Warranty item &OBJECT_ID& needs your approval for discount.
Still no object_id is captured here. Can you help on this?

Make sure the workflow container element name and the name that you specified in the SWC_SET_ELEMENT statement are same and try to mention the name in the upper case.
it should be with the same name
SWC_SET_ELEMENT t_cont 'OBJECT_ID' lv_objid.
if the element that you want to pass is a table then you have to use SWC_SET_TABLE

                I have an requirement to extend an existing vendor to multiple company code and for multiple purchase organisation.I have created one report that will list the company code and the purchase organisation to be extended for the vendor. I am calling the standard program as below.

Now the problem i am facing is that the first vendor got extended sucessfully for the first PO.But for the second PO , the screen fields are blank and it stuckes in that screen. But in the session i am able to clearly see the data are there but these data are not passing to the screen of XK01.
    Need help to solve this problem from you all.Thanks in advance.

Data not passing between two Views in FPM-GAF

Hello All
I have first screen (view) configured with Initial screen and second view with main step using FPM GAF. But data is not passing from first screen to second screen. All views/Windows contains in the one component.
Example: In First Screen contains Employee Data in table , selecting the row clicks on button it is navigating to other screen (Mainstep) BUT selected data is not passing.

I'm bit surprised to hear that this is working in other screens. As per the FPM concepts (my understanding), for the parent component that is used in child component, it will create a new instance and it wont re-use the instance of the Parent Component that is already embedded in the Initial Screen.
In your case, you have embeded the parent component in Initial Screen. So FPM framework will create a new instance at runtime. while navigating to the Main Step, since child component is using parent component, the FPM wont re-use the instance of parent component. Rather it will create a new instancs of parent component. Since new instance is created, the data entered in the previous step/screen wont be available. this behavior is same for all the steps.
anyway comming to your question and solution for the same.
1. In the child component, create another window (say PARENT_WINDOW) and embed the view that was exposed by the parent component (basically interface view of the parent component)
2. in the GAF component configuration, for the initial screen, embed the child component and view as PARENT_WINDOW
3. for the main step, embed the child component and view as acutal view of the child component.
Here same component is used in both the places. Now the FPM will try to reuse the instance of the child component. As a result, the data entered in the Initial screen will be available in the Main Step as well.
Other approach would be to use the singleton class and share the data between these two components.

Added new field to cube but data not passed from DSO

Hope someone can help.
(BI 7.0) We added new fields into a cube. The fields already existed in the DSO. When we ran the process chain in development for the first time after making this change, we notice that the 'historical' data for these fields is populated in the cube. When we do this in our quality system only new data passed to the cube is updated. In development in the sub-chain DTP request we see all previous requests listed under selections. In quality it is only the latest request. The only difference is that the DeltaInit flag in the DTP request in development is ticked (extraction mode) - but not in quality. Does anyone know whyb this is?

Adding fields to cube doesn't affect delta status...The delta DTP should be able to handle delta requests automatically.
I guess in you quality system, the cube already got all requests updated from ODS before you importing the change request. And in develop system none of the requests in ODS were updated before the change.

New field data not passed from BupaSearch to BupaCreate

Hi,
We have 2 new fields on BupaSearch. When we hit the create button to create a new BP, any data entered in the 2 new fields is not then passed through to the BupaCreate view. I've debugged in method 'CREATE_ACCOUNT' in BupaSearch, where it sets up parameters but the fields are not available to use at this point for some reason. So, for example, the following will fail:
lv_nickname = lv_query->get_property_as_string( 'NICKNAME' ).
Can anyone point me in the right direction ?

If your task is created by a workflow (first) and stored in a separate task list, you can create another workflow on this particular task list, then each workflow instance would check if current task is expired (not approved/rejected), then
determine if update current task's "Task Outcome" as approved (and update task status as complete), and then create a retention policy on this paricular task list to trigger the workflow on due date .

If there is a problem with defining it globaly, you can define a field symbol globably and point to it. For example. It would probably be better to define your table globably.

Validation "is a valid date" does not pass but Apex proceeding anyway

Hi,
I have a simple date-item which I validate first against "not null", then for "is a valid date", then that the date is not in the future.
In debug mode the first validation passes, the second ( is a valid date ) does not pass, but the validation process proceeds anyway...!? Then the third validation "date not in the future" produces ad DB-Error because it is not a valid date.
Why does the validation proceed even if the validation does not pass...?

Do you mean that the third validation is firing even though the second is failing? This behaviour is correct. All validations fire (regardless of any having already failed) unless they have specific conditions set on them to make them act differently.
If you don't want the third validation to fire if the second has failed then you will need to put a condition on the 3rd validation to prevent this. Alternatively you could bundle all you validations into one of type "PL/SQL returning Error Text" then have some IF...THEN...ELSE logic in your PL/SQL to return the relevant validatoin text depending on what the problem is (i.e. Date is null, date is invalid or date is in the future).

When I run this VI "Waveform Time to Date Time String" in LabView 7.0 it will not pass decimals of seconds. From decimals of inputline. If i disconnect the input to the subVI "Get Date/Time string vi" it will work propperly, it also doses if I reconnect it. I use LabViev 7.0.
So the problem i solved, but i dosent understund why it works in this way. Does it indicate other problems which will make my researchprogram unrelaible ?

I checked your vi and it fails as you state.
It runs fine if: 1 Convert number to timestamp OR
2 Wire a constant to want seconds?
In labview 7.1, no problems.
I think is a job for NI engeniers.

BPC - Submitted data did not pass validation

Hi experts,
I'm working with BPC 7 Microsoft.
I've just copied an ApplicationSet and the new one doesn't work properly in reference to sending data.
The issue is:
I send data correctly. The system shows the result as successfully, n data submited, 0 data rejected. But, suddenly, the template doesn't show data. It seems as if the data was disappearing.
If before sendind data, I click on "Validate submission before sending", the message is: "Submitted data did not pass validation; you may need to resubmit it"
Any ideas about it? Do you know what I'm doing wrong? Any possible solution will be welcomed.

Hi,
It looks like your data is not passing the validation rules defined into Validation Account. Please verify the rules defined there. Please try to also to full process the Account dimension.
If the data did not pass validation, select Yes to run the validation report. This report is creating by administrator and should show you why the data is not passing the validation.

Change document - Workflow Event Container value not passed

Hi Iam working on a customer create notification scenario where in we are sending a notification to SAP Inbox whenever a customer is created.We are checking industry key(KNA1-BRSCH) value through a check function module.When the customer is created in the system the system triggers the corresponding even it gets in to check module and an exception is raised saying Industry key does not have any value.
Problem is Industry key value is not passed on to the container.
Where might be the problem...?
Is anything missing in SWEC(Events for change document)
-but the event is trigerred...container value for industry key not passed...
Please advice...

Bdc not working with workflow

I have an issue with a bdc FM i created not working with workflow.
If I test the FM, it works ok.
If i Test the method calling the FM it works ok.
if i test the task calling the method it works ok.
If I run the workflow it doesn't work, and i get the following messages:

I tries the same approach on ML81N to block a service entry sheet.(pressing the lock icon),
I get exactly the same issue.
Anybody knows how to resolve?

Data not loading from PSA to infocube

Hi,
I'm facing a problem while extracting the data from PSA to infocube (On APO SIDE). we are using 3 infocubes and we extracting data in such a way that each infocube has only one unit of measure, so with the help of abaper, we have written a start routine in the transformation that for eg: the products with unit of measure KM should come only in the cube.But no data is coming into the cube and it is showing the following errors
From Abap Side:
It turns up with an error message. The error is generated at the start routine method. In the method abap code is added. the code is "DELETE SOURCE_PACKAGE where VRKME NE 'KM'." Following is the error displayed :
1.) Call of the method START_ROUTINE of the class LCL_TRANSFORM failed; wrong type for parameter SOURCE_PACKAGE
2.) Exception CX_RS_STEP_FAILED logged
please help me out in this.

Could you please explain it in more elaborate.
V r not passing anything to DATA_PACKAGE neither using it. In the method call v r passing <_yt_SC_1> to parameter SOURCE_PACKAGE. And inside the method v have written the delete code as "DELETE SOURCE_PACKAGE where VRKME NE 'KM'. "
Do we need to change the coding to "DELETE DATA_PACKAGE where VRKME NE 'KM'. "

Scheduling Agreement -Schedule line should not pass the requirement to MRP

Hi Friends!
As we all know the scheduling agreements is outline agreement with future schedule lines, with this system will pass the requirements to MRP for the schedule line which is even after 5 years, so my requirement is if the schedule line date is above 15 days from the current date then requirement should not pass to MRP.
solution which we gave is, SA initially will determine the schedule line category as CN (which will not transfer the requirement) and a batch job program will run daily and it will check for each schedule line if any of the schedule is with in the 15 days from the current date then it will change the schedule line category from CN to CP.
Now the problem is , by using Batch Job which program I have to call to change the schedule line category?????
1. we tried BAPI_SALESORDER_CHANGE but when we are changing the CN to CP it is not performing ATP where as if we do manually it is performing.
2. we tried BDC but here also we facing some strange problem i.e. while recording the ATP screen is not populating where it is coming while doing manual.
Can someone let me know which one program we should call in Batch job to do this change.

Hi nath,
i also failed in changing shedule line category in userexit and in BAPI.
in one case, i succeded in doing it with a bdc after MV45AFZZ / userexit_save just bevore the datas are reset but after the commit-work is processed.
the other possibility is, to change the accepted amount in userexit RV03VFZZ / USEREXIT_AVAILABILITY_OUT.
3. possibility is, to block the order with a delivery - block , same as the credit-control-block. This block can be set in MV45AFZZ or perhaps in BAPI too.
