I regret that you're having trouble setting up your email, corbad! You're on the right track with your incoming email address. You might also try incoming.verizon.net or incoming.yahoo.verizon.net as possible alternatives, and 995 as the port number. Please let me know how that goes!

I sync my iPhone with my MacBook Pro.
I installed the 3.1.2 firmware update today with a PC laptop running Vista that I haven't synced my iPhone with. I made sure the Windows laptop was running the current iTunes version, and before connecting my iPhone, I disabled automatic syncing when any iPod or iPhone is connected which is done via iTunes preferences under the Devices tab.
I took a risk and didn't create a backup for my iPhone when prompted. The firmware update followed by installing the AT&T carrier update was done without a hitch.
This is risky without having a backup (which I could have done beforehand) and without having any of my iTunes content available on the PC if there was a problem installing the update.
Do the same at your own risk. The worst would be not having any iTunes content to transfer back to your iPhone in the event you needed to restore your iPhone with iTunes on a different computer but if you allow iTunes to create a backup for your iPhone in advance, at least you could restore your iPhone from your newly created iPhone backup in the event of a problem.

During setup of icloud on my pc I get a server error

I am trying to get icloud to sync om contacts and calendar with my PC, Macbook, Pad and phone. I have the icloud turned off on all devices and contacts and calendar items removed from everything except Outlook 2013 on my PC. I have all the updates installed for icloud and Outlook and have uninstalled icloud control panel and reinstalled it. I am running the latest version of icloud and when it goes to add my contacts and calendar to the cloud, it gets about 10 minutes into the process and I get a server issue. I try again and the same thing. Any suggestions?

The documents I’m trying to read are already saved on my computer, under various different headings, I know that we have a server, so I only assume these documents are saved on here, as I said before I’m not good with all this techno stuff. I do my work each week ( on a payroll system) and save the documents for each company, they automatically go to the correct place. I never request for them to be saved in a certain place ( well not that I’m aware of) . I then on occasions need to open up this information, it is then that I can’t read or open the documents. First try a repair install of Apple Mobile Device Support. If that goes through successfully, restart the PC and see if you can now uninstall Apple Mobile Device Support.

Your phone needs more storage, buying storage on iCloud.com doesn't change that.
Delete some of the stuff off of your phone, it's full.

Can i use my itunes account on more than one computer?

i have itunes on my computer at work and at home. any way i can combine them? or, is there a way that something i buy and download onto my work computer can be linked to my home computer? the problem is that my home computer is incredibly old and slow and i'm concerned that it will take forever to download a song, but i'm also concerned that it will crash and then all my itunes music will be gone.
this leads to another question: i have an old mac that i believe still works, and i have an itunes account on that computer and i would like to get that music off of there. how can i do this?

I have a couple of options for you to consider. First, you may simply want to authorize all of your computers for your iTunes account and turn on Automatic Downloads, so that when you download something on one computer, it will automatically download to other computers:

You could also look into iTunes Match, a service that would seamlessly link all of your iTunes libraries:

Get Internal Server Error when run the site

everything ran fine till yesterday. but i also created 2 new sites as follows :-

but when i log in to my original site today, i get Internal Server Error. i did the troubleshooting and the following URL failed :-

the troubleshooting guide on OTN says the following maybe the cause :-
The Apache JServ is not working correctly. Most "internal server errors" are related to Apache Jservs failure to start.(usually due to a port conflict).

Apache JServ log files in IAS_HOME/Apache/Jserv/logs.
is it because the newsites share the same port number 7777 as the existing ones ?
i looked at the log files and all it says is, some files not found.
is there anything else i seem to be missing ?

Are you using multiple listeners or just one? If you have multiple listeners, then you need to update the jserv.properties file for each with a distinct port. The default is 8007.
If you are using one listener (which you can do) then the apache/jserv configuration is is wrong. What are the files that it says are missing?

When I try to enter a time machine with Snow Leopard backups Lion I get an error code -6584 ... how to fix?

Hi.
I had a first gen time machine with backups all on Snow Leopard.
This died (power supply), and I bought a new time capsule, because to fix the old one would cost nearly the same amount.
Since, I have started using Lion, and backed up onto my new time capsule in Lion.
Unfortunately, there was a file I deleted that I really need for a Logic Audio project, that is only present on the old time capsule.
I got the old time capsule fixed, so it powers up. I even extended my current wireless network with it. I can see inside it -- all the data that I dragged onto its HD in the past is present, and the "Sparse Bundle" containing the data for the time capsule save-states is present too.
Now, when I try to "Enter" my old time capsule, I get this error message:
I tried entering the time machine via WiFi and via ethernet, to no avail.
Can anyone help me to access these old save states on my old "snow leopard" time capsule?
I was thinking maybe I need to try to access it from a machine with Snow Leopard?
Please help.
