I believe Creative MP3 Players are the best! ... But i have a problem he

Hi everybody!!
I wish anyone can help me out here.
Previously, there was someone else who has this problem with exactly the product which i have.
I have this <EM>MuVo Slim</EM> which was bought nearly a year ago. A few months back, my MuVo Slim acted like it needed to be handled gently. Whenever it is given a slight knock or a soft tap, it loses power and shuts down. It isn't like it automatically and properly off itself, coz the last setting was not stored in the player when i on it again. It just loses power, even when i've charged the battery full. It is kind of irritating, especially when i put it inside my bag, and It somehow got hit by something, and then ka-pish. Is it bcoz of the mp3 player itself? or is it a sign that i need to change my battery?

kRevErK,
It does sounds more of a hardware problem. Perhaps you can try updating the firmware and if that fails, it's best to contact support to arrange repair for you.

  • Latest MediaSource Plugins for various Creative MP3 Players are now available for downl

Just went to the product support site. Guess what? The latest MediaSource plugins for the various Creative MP3 Players are now available for download. I am sure the latest plugins should have fixed several problems.
Don't forget to download the latest Creative MediaSource v3.30.2 too. Install the latest Creative MediaSource first before you install the MediaSource Plugins of your respecti've MP3 Players.
Note: According to the download site, the latest MediaSource plugins require you to have at least v3.20.57 of Creative MediaSource.

    Thanks micromouse
... but there's no new plugin for the original Jukebox
I've always had trouble connecting to MediaSource with my JB and was hoping for a new plugin to sort all my problems.

Hello Sorry for the inconvenience, but I have a problem in Java I can not open files, audio chat, which type of jnlp after the last update of the Java 2012-004
Please help me in solving this problem.

Make sure Java is enable in your browser's security settings.
Open Java Preferences (in Utilities folder)
Make sure Web-start applications are enabled.
Drag Java 32-bit to the top of the list.
jnlp isn't an audio file format. It's just a java web-start program (Java Network Launching Protocol).

  • Hp products are the best that I have ever had by far

I have just spent the past half hour reading about all the problems that some people have had with their HP product. I,
myself, have had real horror stories about many OTHER brands of computers, including the Acert laptop that literally blew
up only a week after I purchased it brand new! I went back to Best Buy, where I bought it, just, in my mind, to swap it for a new one, when I spotted a "Display Model HP Pavilion dv4 Notebook Laptop, that normally sells for over $900, on sale to get rid of it, as it had passed it's time as a display model.  I asked the Manager of Best Buy, if I could pay the difference between the model that blew up, and the selling price of this machine, and because of the fact that the Acert only lasted 5 days before frying itself, she agreed! My lucky day! I already own an HP tower computer that has given me 2 years of 100% trouble free performance, and after a year of owning this HP laptop, I can now say that I have TWO HP computers, and TWO HP printers, that have been, without exception, the absolute best machines that money could buy! I would recommend HP products to anyone. I understand just how frustrating that it can be to talk to a technition in India, and HP is at fault in this department
as is every other computer manufacturor, I presume to control costs to be able to offer these machines for the very low prices that they can. I want EVERYONE reading this to just stop and think of this statement. FIRST- I am NOT employed by HP in any way, I'm a truck driver and Classic Motorcycle restorer. Second- if it were not for the incredible cost savings HP see's in having their call centers in countries like India, my laptop, that was over $900 new, WOULD have cost better than $1500! So, next time you feel like you got the run around, do what I have always done BEFORE i called into customer service for a hardware problem. Write down every problem, in plain english, that you are having, and have had in the past, with the machine that you are having the problem with. That way, when you get frustrated, you will not actually forget an important issue that in your frustration, you have failed to mention, as that problem, MAY just be the actual issue that needs to be fixed FIRST, then all the other problems will actually repair themselves. I speak from experiance! NO MACHINE can possibly be perfect every time one is made, because every computer is made by the most imperfect being on earth, HUMANS! Give this post some serious thought before you call customer service with hate on your mind. You are asking someone sitting many miles away to help you fix an issue without them even being able to look at your machine. Thaqt HAS to be a very hard thing to do! If you need it fixed ASAP, then take it to a LOCAL computer repair shop, pay the service fee, and within an hour or two, your machine will be good as new. That is what you would do with your car, for crying out loud!

  • Creative MP3 Players and Car Au

    Hello,
I'm a newbie and I don't know a lot about MP3 players so I hope you can help me out. I have a brand new Kenwood car audio with an USB cable to plug your MP3 player in. My friend's Samsung MP3 player doesn't work, after some research I find out that the MP3 player has to be an MTP one to work with the car audio. Now my question is: are all Creative MP3 players MTP maschines and do I have to make a software update or what ever to "make them be" a MTP player?
Thanks a lot for any support!

Are you sure about this? Which Kenwood is it exactly? The info I've seen on the Kenwoods say that the USB device must be MSC (not MTP).
Perhaps your friend's Samsung is MTP, and that's why it didn't work.

  • Creative Mp3 Players MTP Problem Solution

Hi,because of the firmware and windows problems,if you have a mp3 player with a firmware that doesn't support MTP problem, sometimes even if you reformat your computer, you can get "player not connected" error. To solve this you must install MTP supporting firmware on your mp3 player, but if you don't want to upgrade your firmware (because of being afraid of stucking in the recovery mode, some other reasons)there is some other solutions to solve this problem.
Editing registry keys, and some other patches did nothing to solve my problem. So I deleted all Creative Drivers and programs from Add/Remove Programs, and I deleted Windows Media Player 0 and installed Windows Media Player 9,than I installed everything from my mp3 player's cd (media source, nomad explorer, device drivers, etc.) and I downloaded and installed new device driver (version 2...) from creative web site. I restarted my computer, and my problem is completely solved. Try it...

  • What are the best import settings for iTunes - AAC 160 / AAC 192 / MP3??

Hi I originally imported all my treasured CDs to iTunes several years ago, and they've served me well (AAC 128 - default setting) but in recent times hard-drive sizes have trebled and my much loved iTunes Library has not been updated.
    I am thinking of re-importing all of my original CDs - as I think now that hard-drive space would allow for a higher quality but at the same time I do not want to fill my hard-drive completely with music - hence my question;
WHAT ARE THE BEST IMPORT SETTINGS CONSIDERING SIZE AND QUALITY?
(I know this has probably been asked a million times, but I did a search and nothing came up that answered my Q - also all the answers that came up in Google search where dated 2003/ 2004 - a little out-dated me thinks!!)
    Rachael

Personally I've started ripping everything Apple Lossless. That way I hope I never have to rip again.
I used to rip 320 mp3. I couldn't tell the difference between 320 mp3 and lossless, but, one day I might be able to - big maybe. But since disk price is not likely to go up, I figured I'd rip lossless from now on "just in case."
Probably few, if any, people could tell the difference between 256 AAC and lossless (I've done it at 192, but never at 256, and I have not bothered trying again recently - there might be a song out there where I could hear the difference, hence ripping lossless from now on - my time costs more than disk space . . .)
256 AAC is a pretty safe bet, unless you need mp3 compatibility, then use 256 (or 320) mp3.

  • Post for happy owners of Creative mp3 players

Welcome in the island of the happy owners of Creative mp3 players! I open this post because I see in the forum that there are many topics about unsatisfied customers. I think that many people that is satisfied of these mp3 players don't go in forums, because forum are used above all to find solution at problems!Anyway I'm happy owner of a Creative Zen 6 GB And all works fine! All is perfect! And this player is really a little wonder! The battery life (I saw that there is a post about it here) is about 8 hours using player in normal use, with songs at more than 92 kbps.
I'm really satisfied! It is the best player that I got!My list of players began with the Zen Xtra 40 GB, after the Zen Sleek Photo 20 GB and then the Zen Vision:M 60 GB. I have the little and nice Zen Stone Plus too! All work perfect!

I posted about my zen experience allready, but my list of experiences just got a little longer so I'll recapI am a music freak. with a capitol K , my very first mp3 player wasnt even creative it was he weird kind with the disc that fits in the back. only held ten songs without the disk disk could hold twenty. then I got a real job and got my first creative mp3 player. it was nomad, and nomad was good. jump dri've lookin thing with a red power supply (case the battery goes into) it weas either 256 or 52, cant remember for sure. but it sounded pretty and held my songs, and was small enough I could take it to work without arousing suspicion.nephew found it (two years old, my own fault) and separated the dri've from the power supply still have power supply, cant find dri've. So I got a muvo v00 gig it lasted virtually forever, even went through a washer and dryer trip, and still played till about a month after it got laundered. when it mysteriously powered down. I upgraded to a v+ which I love. I have had it since june and its still goin strong, even went with me on a 3 day camp out, still works great.. only problem I had was the power didnt last till the end of the third day. but all three of these sounded awesome. the v+ still does, plus Ive put a couple episodes of "psych" on it for video entertainment. I recently took it to work with me and was stocking shelves in the cooler for a few hours (about 28-32 degrees) and I learned two things. . cold temperatures do adversely effect battery life, but not horribly, and 2. we have an anti headphone policy of which I was not previously aware. nevertheless it performs great even on the job. on a side note I put the brass or copper (not sure which) connector plate back on on my muvo v00. my cousin uses it now instead of her ipod I'm so happy.
cudos creative for making players that can go camping, and even withstand a full wash and dry cycle. (machine washing and tumble drying your mp3 player is not reccomended.)

  • Do ALL Creative MP3 players have Bookmarking capabiliti

I currently have a 28 MB MuVo but am looking to upgrade to to a newer model. Before I buy a new model I need to know the answer to the following question.
Question: Do ALL of the Creative MP3 players have the bookmark feature including the Zen models?
If all of them do not have this feature, which Creative models do or do not have bookmarking capabilities?
    Thanks for the info!

  • What are the best export settings to use...

    Operating system: Vista SP1
Camera: Canon HF100 (1900x1080 HD quality 29.97fps) -- uses AVCHD compression which is H.264 I believe.
I'm able to watch my camera video files in Vista nicely. However, I'm having trouble with the watching the results of my edited and exported videos. Assuming I want the same quality and playability as the source video, what settings should I use in the export?
In the export settings window... I select:
    Format: H.264
Preset: HDTV 1080p 29.97 High Quality
Source files have the extension: .m2ts
...I don't change the other values. Then I export. Now the result is an .mp4 file which does not play in Windows Media Player. It does play in Quicktime or iTunes however it plays jerkily... I would like to be able to play it as smoothly as the original source plays... And I'd like to be able to play it in windows media player just as the source can be played in media player. Media player seems to play the source more smoothly than does iTunes or Quicktime.
So what are the best export settings for me so that I can watch my edited HD video on my computer as easily as the source footage???
I've been able to edit and save the results of the edit using the crappy ImageMixer3 video editor that comes with the camera. The results are perfect and play in windows media fine. The files it exports the edited video as is the same as the soure... the file extension is .m2ts
So the problem is how to get Adobe to export the edited video to an .m2ts file or at least to a file type that plays as nicely in my system?

    See
Exporting to iPods, cell phones, PSPs and other mobile devices in the PPro Help for details.

  • What are the best devices to use in my car to listen to music on my 3rd gen iPod Nano?

What are the best devices on the market today to use in my car to listen to music on my 3rd Gen iPod nano?  I currently use the Monster device that plugs into the electrical adapter (former cigarrette lighter!) in the car.  It's a pain in the neck to manually search for unused FM stations on a long trip. I want something that automatically searches for unsused FM stations or, better yet, that will allow me to somehow connect the iPod into the CD player or directly to the radio itself.  I have a 2004 Toyota Highlander.
Any suggestions for quality after-market products from the Forum?

If you have files with the .m4v or .m4a extension its better to change them to .mp4. The M4 extensions will sometimes download in the browser instead of playing.
A usefull free app for file conversion is Miro...
    http://www.iwebformusicians.com/Website-Movie-Video/Easy-Movie-Player.html
It can quickly convert to all the formats you need to load for html5 playback: MP4, OGG, WebM
If you include these three, fallback to flash will only be required for Internet Explorer V 8 and older. V 9 is supposed to support html5 but I haven't actually seen any proof of this.
Players like flowplayer and JWLongtail are convenient because the control bar icon be customized. This lets you get away from the nasty looking QT control bar.

  • What are the best export settings for a HD video in Premier Pro CS4?

    Hi!
I've been having so much trouble with this issue and it's something that continually frustrates my boss. I have a HD video the settings for it are
    FPS 23.98
    1920 x 1080, then a few lines down it says 1408 x 792
    16 bit,
    2 channels
    48000 Hz
What should the settings be when I make a new sequence?
When I look at it in the window in Premiere Pro I have to contantly 'shrink' the image to fit the window, is that something I should be doing or does it indicate the sequence settings are incorrect?
But more importantly what should the export settings be? I exported a 4 minute long video and the size was 1 GB, I know that's too big.
I need to export it without loosing any quality and export another one that meets the Youtube and Vimeo limits on size.
Vimeo is 500 MB per week, sometimes I upload 4 videos per week. I think Youtube you can only upload 500 MB at a time.
I need to get smaller sizes with loosing the least amount of quality possible AND the best export settings for quality, so I guess I have 3 separate questions-
What are the best sequence settings for HD video?
What are the best export settings for HD without loosing any quality?
What are the best export settings for the size to come out around 500 MB with loosing the least amount of quality possible?
    Thank You!
    http://forums.adobe.com/thread/713070
On the above thread I used the 5th anwer, and it's going to take about 7 hours to export a 4 minute video :/

    It Stands for "Coder Decoder."
Your format is like a container for your video file. Certain containers can hold certain codecs and not others. Other containers can hold other codecs. Sometimes different containers can hold the same codecs.
This might be a bad analogy but I'll give it a try.
A coffe cup (container) can hold pretty much any liquid you drink, where a red solo cup (container) won't hold scolding water. So, the coffe cup would be your container of choice most likely because it has the most options for liquids (codecs). But, you might want a red solo cup for just a single crappy beer at a party (a moderate quality streaming video on the web). In that case, you don't need all the optoins of another container.
In Premiere Pro CC H.264 is a Container and the Codec in one option. This has been streamlined for web distrobution of video to be played in browsers without things like Flash or special players.
Were as if you choose the QuickTime Container there are over 40 codec optoins (at least on my machine with additinal ones installed) but you may run into an issue where your browser doesn't support QuickTime playback.
I would say that your container is for compatability with players and your codec is taken into consideration when looking at the quality of the compression.
Yesteraday I wrote a blog entery on Exporting from Premiere Pro and found that the MPEG-4 codec inside of the QuickTime container gave me much richer colors than the H.264 container/codec option.
I posted the link before but here it is:
