You have to understand the difference between an Update and an Upgrade.
An Update is a free change to add to the base code or as a bug fix within an existing Operating System. Such as the .8 added to 10.5.
An Upgrade is a complete new Operating System that must be purchased. Such as 10.5 Leopard to 10.6 Snow Leopard.
10.5 Leopard was based on Power PC code and was written to be able to run on both Power PC and Intel processors.
10.6 Snow Leopard has completely rewritten code and only runs on Intel Macs.
10.7 Lion used some 32 bit which allows it to run on Late 2006 through Early 2008 MacBooks and a lot of 64 bit code.
10.8 Mountain Lion is pure 64 bit, which excludes more systems than Lion did. It's not something you can add memory to, for example, as it involves the base architecture.

You can check the version under Apple Menu > System Preferences > Flash Player. Did you quit and restart Safari after the install?

I've learned by reading other topics that I can't upgrade my graphics card on my Macbook Pro because it's soldered into the motherboard or somthing like that, but please tell me if there is any way to get more video ram by chaning some setting or upgrading something else. The only two items that a user can change on a MBP are the RAM and HDD (Retinas not included). You have what the unit came with and the only way you will be able to change that is to purchase a MBP with superior graphics
If you are very much into gaming, the I suggest A PC. They are far superior for that type of application to a MBP.

its requirements are: OS X version leopard 10.5.8, snow leopard 10.6.3, 1 GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce 8, ATI X1600 or intel HD 3000 or Higher Mouse.

The software says its up to date with iOS5.1.1, but when i try to download certain app it tells me I need to update to iOS6.0 or later but when i go to the setting there are no updates. so how do I add these apps? The person i bought it from doesnt know what generation becuase it was a present to her.

The way you download older apps for the older, original iPad 1, as I understand it, is if you have iTunes installed on a computer, you purchase / download the new, current app, in the iOS App Store in iTunes on your computer. Then, go back to your iPad and go to the App Store app on your iPad and find the same app there and download it.
When You select app to update/download, a message pop-up window appears asking if you want to download the last compatible version for your device (if one still exists ) tap OK and that should be it.

How to create a multiplayer game for steam using flash/flex?

We've got a multiplayer game ready to go. Currently it is not multiplayer, but we'd like to get it to a stage where it can be played over the steam network by users of steam and owners of steam games.
We'd like to if anyone could briefly give us a breakdown of how to get out game up on steam and available for multiplayer?
Does steam host servers, and can we utilise a steam server to transfer data between players or would we have to run our own server?
Currently were using flash builder to publish via adobe air to a windows desktop exe. Can anyone briefly explain how - once a player has downloaded the game from steam we can connect two players? Does anyone know how to use actionscript 3 to access steam network?
Anyone have any experience developing multiplayer turn based game for steam using flash /actionscript 3 /adobe air?

You would want to use the SteamWorks API, which is available from Steam as a C++ library, but there is most likely an Adobe Native Extension (ANE) that would allow you to use the library in AS3.
I've never used SteamWorks but it seems to support peer-2-peer matchmaking (in other words, you wouldn't even need your own server, I think.)

I do not know what exactly I have to do, because if informed a new payment method continues with the same problem, checked the card bill and really had given an error, because there was no billed the game. I ask you to verify what happened and explain to me what I need to do, because my single card is Visa's and do not intend to return others to use the services of the App Store.

I think you need the app store support. http://www.apple.com/support/mac/app-store/contact/ Go there and use one of the methods to contact them about your issue and they should be able to help you out.

i just bought a game for my itouch. i have downloaded it. it is not on my itouch. i think i need a certain application for it to be on my itouch but i am not sure which one.

As stated, make sure the iPod is running software version 2.0 or greater.
Check via iTunes:
- Connect the iPod to the computer and open iTunes
- Select iTunes in the left-hand column, beneath Devices
- The version is listed in the Summary page, to the right of the image of the iPod
Check via iPod:
- Settings > General > About
If you are not running 2.0 or greater, follow the previously posted link to obtain the update.
If you are running 2.0 or greater, select the iPod in the left-hand column of iTunes beneath Devices, and look for an Applications tab. Navigate to that tab and ensure the option to sync applications is checked.
