I bought an APP that don't work

Hello... my name is Viviane.  I'm from Brasil. I bought an app that does not work. I paid for this but not open im my ipad. Help me please. What can i do? His name is : a Betty Boop Cartoon vídeos,v1.1,  USD 2,99. Thanks.

Two thoughts on this:
1.  The iTunes Store indicates this app has not been updated since August, 2010.  Such a period of stagnation is a big red flag (at least to me).
2.  The iTunes Store also indicates the developer website, which is:

  • Apps That Don't Work - Asphalt Racing

Thanks in advance for your help.....
I bought and downloaded the Asphalt Racing game from the App store last night and the game gets to the point of you selecting a car and then shuts off. I tried multiple times and also deleted and re-downloaded and still had the problem. Ho do you go about getting refunds for Apps that don't work or is that not a possibility right now?

    Hey dgny06,
Is this the only app with an issue?
Try deleting the app from the iPhone and downloading it again.
You will not be charged for the second download.

I have the same issue witha  slight variation.  The app icons that are grayed out and cannot be deleted are DUPLICATES of other apps that I already have.  For instance I now have 2 Redbox apps - one works normally, the other cannot be opened or deleted.

Yes, it will do no harm, but it is meant for trouble shooting and you should not have to use it all the time.

  • What can I do to get my money back when I bought an App that doesn't work

Is There some kind of recourse or way of getting my money back for an App that Imdownloaded that just plaindoesn't work correctly.
I was a ble to write a review that it doesn't work but honestly I'd like top get my money back.
    Any advice please.

    Hi Andy,
I have had experienced this more than a couple of times with purchases from the App Store.
Your product should have a support link, either on their web page or under Help.  Go to there and submit a message about the fault you experience and the company should get back to you relatively quickly (not Apple, but the vendor).
I live in Australia and after purchasing my third app that didn't work I submitted a help request and in the end the company (after I sent a copy of the App Store receipt) issued me with a serial number I could use and downloaded the product from their website.  This only took two days - not bad considering time diff (company was in US).  Support person was very helpful.
Trust me, they want your business.  If you experience a problem, chances are others are too.
I no longer purchase apps from the App Store without trialling them first.  Since there are no trial apps on App store, I always go to vendors website.
While I understand Apple is not responsible for the third party apps found in the App Store, the duds that are in there sure are breeding a lot of frustration for Mac users.
Side note - my sister recently purchased Norton Antivirus for Mac - after trying to get it to open the activation window so I could enter the Product Key (for two days!) we are now in the process of getting our money back from Symantec.  While you may not have any luck with the App Store, you may find you have luck with the actual vendor (software producer), get onto their tech support and you may be pleasantly surprised.

  • Old Apps that don't work

Why are there still some Apps for sale in the App store that have not been updated in 2 years or more ??? And just don't work..

    Hello golosport,
Do you mean the apps don't work? Or they don't work for iOS 6? There are still a lot of people out there that haven't updated their iOS or iPhones in the past two years either. Especially the old school crowd rockin' the iPhone 3G which can't update past iOS 4.2.1 and even the iPhone with an even older iOS. My thought is the developer of those app for which you speak have interest in keeping their client base with older iPhones. Just my thoughts.

  • Conclusions about common apps that don't work or need modif?

There are lots of separate threads here about problems with various apps -- for just one tiny example, we need to install Flip4Mac Beta because last official release doesn't work. Many other examples. Question: Would one of you real expert contributors be able/willing to take a stab at listing all the commonly used apps that have 10.6 problems, and any solutions, in a single thread? I'm very interested in this information but going through all the huge number of multiple threads already compiled is really overwhelming.

In order to request a refund, you would want to contact iTunesby filling out the form below. They will review your request and follow up by email.

  • Report an app that doesn't work

Can someone please tell me how to report an app that doesn't work and get a refund?
The app won't allow feedback (as soon as you type anything the "Submit" button is disabled) and the link for its support goes to a web site that appears to be totally unrelated.
The "Report a problem" link on iTunes just takes me to the generic support page with a 1000 links to various forums etc. That's for nothing Apple.
I can provide more details but I don't even know if this is the right place yet.
Now maybe it's just me being a newbie with this whole Apps/iPad thing but it is NOT a user-friendly system IMO.
    Rob

Express Lane is indeed how you contact the iTunes Store. The page I provided the link to is the one you reach when you click "Contact Support" in the sidebar.
Is there no simple way to immediately cancel an order if you realize in the first fifteen minutes that it is not working as expected?
There is no way to cancel an order at all, not within fifteen minutes, not within fifteen seconds. Once you click the "buy" button, you've purchased the item, and the Terms of Sale for the iTunes Store state clearly that "all sales are final". So if you are requesting a refund, you have to email the iTunes Store via the form you reach through Express Lane, explain the reasons for the request and hope that iTunes Store Customer Service will grant you an exception.
    Regards.

  • In app purchases don't work on windows app

    Hi,
I've just put my app online in the Windows Store. (Invader Magazine)
Everything works great, exept one thing. My in app purchases don't work. I think i've done everything right.
    I followed exectly these steps:
    - Digital Publishing Suite Help | DPS publishing guide for Windows Store
    - In my Dev windows account I've made an in app purchase for each folio
    - I published my folio's wat the same product ID as V31 en set the status on public, retail.
I have done all these steps, but my app is empty, I see no folio.
I can only see the folio's when I publish them en set the status on public, free.
    Am I missing something?

    Hi,
In-app purchases on Windows work differently than on iOS. You shouldn't be making in-app purchase entries for each folio in your Windows Store listing.
See Digital Publishing Suite Help | DPS publishing guide for Windows Store for complete details on how in-app purchasing is different on Windows, and how to set it up correctly in the store. Once you have your consumable in-app purchase entry created for your store listing you'll need to request an updated custom viewer that incorporates that Windows Store product ID, then resubmit the app to Windows for approval.

  • Since upgrading from Mavericks to Yosemite Mail, Spotlight,Mission Control and App-Store don´t work correctly. Is it possible to return to Mavericks?

Since upgrading from Mavericks to Yosemite Mail, Spotlight, Mission Control and App-Store don´t work correctly. Is it possible to return to Mavericks?

If you have an external drive with an OS X Time Machine backup, then do restore of your last backup. If you have an external drive  with a bootable clone of your previous system, you can boot to that clone and re-clone the OS X on your external drive back to your Mac's internal drive.
If you do not have either of these available, then the reverting/restoring process becomes much more complicated and involves purchasing an external drive and backing up your current system to that drive, then erasing, reformatting your hard drive and now your only options to installng an OS X version is doing a clean install of OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, then upgrading, again, to either OS X 10.7 Lion or 10.8 Mountain Lion. OS X 10.9 Mavericks is no longer available for download and Apple has not made OS X 10.9 Mavericks available in any other form to be able to redownload and install.
Maybe it would be better to explain in detail your issues with Yosemite to see if any of us here can help you with your difficulties.
I am not running or using Yosemite, so I cannot help you with your Yosemite issues,
There are others here who can help you with Yosemite.
    Good Luck.

  • List 3rd party Wi-Fi apps that don't need ANY data plan

so far, the only one I know of is Live Search
    you can download it here
(note: in Options, network configuration parameters must be changed to "Direct HTTP" instead of "default" and check "Use only WiFi interface")
I can't use BlackBerry's "Maps", because I don't have a data plan;  however, the "Traffic" & "Maps" of Live Search is a great alternative!
if you know of other 3rd party Wi-Fi apps that don't require ANY data plan (APN, BES, MDS, IPPP for BIBS, WAP, etc.), post them here.
    thanks!

Apple usually offers a refund one time. You need to decide if this purchase is the one that you wish to use that one-time refund with.
