In the Mac App Store, there will be a link labled "Support" in the "Quick LInks" box.
That will take you to: Apple - Support - Mac App Store .
Then click on the "Troubleshooting" link.

If i click on the download button in the purhased section nothing happens. if i go into the App store and click download on Mountain Lion there it looks like it is starting to download and opens Lauchpad but it never moves off 'waiting'.

If you see the "Purchased" option on the main screen of the iTunes Store, here's what I'd do:
1) Go into your library and delete the file if it downloaded. If not, go to your downloads and delete it from there to stop it from download.
2) Go to the Purchased pane in the main iTunes Store section, locate the item, and try the download again.
Also, you may wish to turn off any anti-virus or anti-malware programs before you try this again, as that sometimes is what can be blocking the download. Otherwise, contact iTunes Store Support:

I bought an app from the App Store but it's not in my Purchases.
I bought iStudiez Pro about six months ago, and recently I re-installed OS X. I saw it in my Purchases just a few seconds ago, but when I opened the Mac App Store again after it crashed, it just disappeared. Apple treats it as if I never bought the software.
I suspect you have accidentally hidden the app. Go to Apple menu > App store >
On the App store menu bar select Store > view my account > sign in. Half way down the account page under the title icloud (don't ask me why) you will see 'Hidden Apps'. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4919 explains what to do.

Delete the Album including files from your iTunes, then go to the iTunes Store and select "Purchased" from the Quick Links side bar on the right. Go through Music tabs to download again for free

Have you redeemed your iTunes card to an account associated with an Apple ID?
Once you have your iPad associated with an Apple ID AND you have an account with a credit card associated with the same Apple ID AND you have some 'store credit' (from redeeming your iTunes card) then purchases use the store credit before they charge the credit card, so you should be ok!
Personally, I use 'store credit' as a way to monitor whether or not there have been any 'unauthorised' purchases because as soon as the store credit is zero, the security code from the credit card is needed for further purchases! It does mean that I have sometimes to top up store credit before making a purchase, but 'better safe than sorry'! -

Not sure why you are in the itunes forum.
Your issue is with your MP3 player. Go to their support page.
Itunes syncs with Apple devices. It has little or nothing to do with other players.
Does your MP3 player support the file type of the song that your downloaded? -

I'm having this same problem and can't find a solution that works in the apple support community. What's frustrating is that this used to work seamlessly with Windows. Then I bought a macbook pro and upgraded to OS X Mavericks and a lot of stuff broke.

I bought a Mac Book Pro retina display, Serial Number C02J*****2, on 8/11/2012. Unfortunately, I am unable to download updates from the App store.Whenever I tried to download updates, it shows me an error message, "we could not complete your request. there is an error in the App Store. Try again later (100). Your Apple ID has been disabled, contact iTune support". However,the problem still persists even after my password has been successfully reset. What is is the error in the app store? I really need help to resolve this issue.
Moreover,I also need help how to update to the mountain lion free of charge as my Mac pro is four(4) days old.

I bought OSX Mountain Lion 10.8.2 in the App Store. I have accidentally deleted it from my list of purchases.
How can I restore it in case I need to use it again?To recover Mountain Lion to your purchases, open App Store > Featured > Account (under Quick Links) > Show hidden purchases, and show OS X Mountain Lion. Finally, it will appear on Purchases tab

I use iphone5, I see an app update on the app store. but when App store and click on the update tab, it doesn't show me which application to update.. just gives me a blank page.!!!! You can probably change the ID in the "iTunes and App stores" settings on the iPad....click on the wrong account ID , select sign out, then log in with your own ID, I have not done this but I think it works.....
but I would be more inclined to to the factory reset and start afresh. -
