No, films are currently a one-time only download. Have you not got a backup of them on, for example, an external drive that you can copy back onto your computer ? And have you checked that the films have actually been deleted from your computer, it's not just that the pointer to them in iTunes has been removed ?

You only get one download of movies. It is your responsibility to backup your purchases.
If it never downloaded at all, then click Store>Check for Available Downloads -

I am nes to Mac computers and I love ITunes. I have bought some TV shows and I am running short of storage and I have some questions.
1) Can I transfer my TV shows to an external drive?
2) If I erase these files, can I download them again? I bought a movie I erase it to make space, but I went to the Itunes store again and it says I have to pay for it.
3) Can use ICloud to store my TV shows? and how is it done if possible?

CBYou can move the files to an external drive. Delete the entry from your collection but don't let iTunes delete the file. Copy the file to the external, then drag to iTunes to add it again. Hold down the option key while doing this so the file doesn't get copied to the internal again.
Alternatively use: Dougscripts: Relocates selected files to a folder of your choice - http://dougscripts.com/itunes/scripts/ss.php?sp=relocateselected - replaces "Move Files To Folder" to move files.
2) I wouldn't trust Apple or the media companies. They could decide tomorrow to not allow a second download and you'd be stuck. The media company could decide to pull an item from iTunes Store. You are the only person who can be relied upon to ensure you always have access to your media copies. -

All my TV shows and movies are taking up too much space on my harddrive. If I delete them from my library, can I download them again later to rewatch? For example, if I delete the a season of The Walking Dead to clear up space on my harddrive, can I download it again later when I'm going through Walking Dead withdrawals? If so, how do I do that? HeatherIf you have been regularly syncing/backing up your iPhone with iTunes or iCloud, you may try restoring it from the last backup.

I actually deleted my backup :-) That's the problem. But thanks.
I've managed to get some back but via a slightly different method.
Because the files weren't there, when I deleted them from my library they actually disappeared from the list.... So I created a new library (backed up my original one) and then synched that with Match so that all the files appeared. I'm just going through the ones I'm missing clicking 'download' and then when they're all back on my hard drive I'll revert to the previous Library which will hopefully pick up all of the recovered files.

I can watch all of my old TV shows on iTunes, but the last one I downloaded jammed up after about one minute. I tried quitting I-tunes and re-starting my computer to no avail. iTunes won't even let me delete it so I can try downloading it again. But it will let me delete other episodes.

I downloaded the iMovie when I bought my iPad mini 2, but now I can't download it again. I have iMovie on my computer and I can download it to my tablet from computer, but not from AppStore.

I understand that you downloaded iMovie on your iPad for free when you purchased your iPad, but now you cannot download it again for free. It sounds to me like your iPad may be currently using a different Apple ID that initially downloaded iMovie. As the attached article suggests, I would first make sure you are using the same Apple ID to download past purchases. The term purchases also refers to free applications that were downloaded using your Apple ID.

Sign in with the Apple ID that you used for the original purchase. Use these steps to see which Apple ID you used to download an item.

Deleted maps, now can't download them again
I downloaded 3 maps on HERE Maps and later deleted them. now when I try to download them again I can't. the maps I have downloaded are still visible under my maps but below them is written 0mb. They do not work offline.

I found an article with steps you can take to download this album again. As long as you are signed in with the same Apple ID you used to purchase the songs, you will not be charged for the songs.
