I can get any applet running on IE6

I tested the applet on applet viewer. It works with out any problem. The problem occurs, when I try to run it on the browser. What settings are necessary to solve this problem? I will add the error message below.

guess what it says java file. So yes i'm sure. Sarcasm. Not the best way to encourage a total stranger to help you. Then there's
Sorry if i wasn't more clear but was that response needed? No it wasn't needed, but I'm not the one asking for help so I have the luxury of not worrying too much about it. It's extremely frustrating trying to drag relevant information out of someone, and makes one less inclined to bother.
Anyways, there's still nothing in this thread that actually explicitly says "there is a file called VolcanoApp.java in the directory where I'm running javac from" and I really can't be bothered banging my head against the wall any longer. You've made a silly mistake, or a false assumption. We all do it from time to time. My advice is, take a break, go for a walk and re-visit this in a while. You'll probably spot the mistake right away.

  • How to get an Applet running in IE??

    Dear All,
Can I know the way to get my applet runs in Internet Explorer?
I heard about Java Plug-In and Java HTML Converter. Pls advise.
    I am using JDK1.3.1 and Win98.
Which version of Java Plug-In and HTML Converter should I use?
    Thanks,
    Daniel

Which Mac OS version is the applet going to run on? Java in Mac OS X will support jre1.3, but earlier versions of the Mac OS only support jre1.1.2. You need to go to www.apple.com and do a search for Java. There you will find all the information about Java on the Mac platform.

  • My mac is getting very slow, is there a way i can get it to run a little quicker?

my mac is running really slow, is there any way i can get it to run a little quicker,

You want to check out the drive to be sure it isn't failing.
Get free demo of SMART Utility to test
    http://www.volitans-software.com/smart_utility.php
Probably has little to do with login items (which would usually only affect time to boot and/or login.) Don't waste your time with Permissions repair, either. Has nothing to do with it.
I have no idea which iMac you have or how old it is.
How much free space on the drive? Do CMD-I on the HD folder.
If the drive checks out, try running Applejack.
    http://sourceforge.net/projects/applejack/
    http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-13727_7-10334620-263.html?tag=mfiredir
Type in "applejack AUTO" at the prompt and let it run through the entire program. First boot after will be slower than usual, as it rebuild caches. May need several restarts to see benefits.

  • How we can get the current running user information in BusinessOne

    Hi experts,
How we can get the current running user information in BusinessOne Application,
Based on the user details i want to assign some functionality,
    Regards,
    Saidarao yakkala

    Hi,
As per me you can't get detail by server side.
If you want to know who are connected then you can use sp_who2 procedure in SQL query.
That will display who are login.
For more detail you have to check LOG file on client side in SAP B1 > Log folder.
    Thanks

The master password protects saved passwords in Thunderbird and has nothing to do with connecting to your providers server. You need to work with your email provider if you have forgotten your email password. Go to their email help site and look for a link to reset your password.
If you are truly working with a forgotten master password this article tells you how to remove it.

  • Cannot get any applets to run

    Heres my story
Ive downloaded the latest JDK (including JRE 1.5_06) and install goes fine. For example I can run java programs I've written locally.
The problem is with my Browsers and the JRE (both IE 6 and Firefox)
I run XP SP2 and am up to date on everything
I thought the problem was with the Microsoft VM (MSJVM) and removed it so that ALL I have is the Sun JRE. I even found a site (at Penn State) that talked about how before installing the JRE
You have to remove a left over registry key so that the Sun package installs correctly. http://www.oit.state.pa.us/oaoit/cwp/view.asp?a=172&q=194113&oaoitNavDLTEST=%7C9138%7C
I did all of that and it appears to work fine.
So now the MSJVM is gone and cannot be reinstalled but I cannot run ANY applet. Ive checked EVERYTHING I can possibly think of but Im missing something.
The MSJVM did work before so I dont think its a firewall problem.
Every applet gives me the following types of errors (seen in the java console)
The following happens on the Sun jre verify page at

This is similar behavior for EVERY applet no matter what site it's located on. Ive checked cache, paths, registry setting. I cant think of anything else to try. It's as if every applet cannot access the jar files needed from its server.
Behavior is the same from IE or Firefox. Ive uninstalled and reinstalled many times.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Marc

If anyone should happen by here with this problem the following is the solution. Even if you have not installed MSN make sure to check this (I did not have MSN installed so there must be other programs that change this)
When MSN Messenger 7.5 installs it changes a registry entry: HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\TCPIP\Parameters\DatabasePath from REG_EXPAND_SZ to REG_SZ which causes it to fail to expand %SystemRoot%, therefore breaking the path.
Changing the key back to REG_EXPAND_SZ solves the problem on the machine, but to do so you have to delete the entry and re-create it!
If you feel uncomfortable making registry changes I suggest you follow these directions:
    1. Open REGEDIT
    2. Navigate to HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\TCPIP\Parameters
    3. RIGHT click in the right pane and create a New Expandable String Value
    4. Name it DataBasePathExpand
    5. Right click on DataBasePathExpand and click Modify
    6. Enter the value of %systemRoot%\System32\drivers\etc and save
    7. Now right click on DataBasePath and delete it
    8. Right click on DataBasePathExpand and rename it to DataBasePath

  • Can get any mail... 10.5.3 update boooo

So ever since the new 10.5.3 my incoming mail server SAYS it's online and working, but I can't get any mail. I use hotmail but the plug in works just fine for all outgoing mail... what's up with this???

I am experiencing the very same problems here - with other POP3 accounts, not Hotmail!
I am running Mail without any extensions. The computer is as new as three days. Did all the configuration and it worked just fine. Right after updating to 10.5.3 though, Mail wasn't able to connect to the mail server at all. Trying to connect to the same accounts from my old Powerbook via the same settings and router work perfect.
So I am guessing, the update really is the reason for my problem. I also tried to remove the hole settings and start mail again, but this did not have any effect.
    Any suggestions?

  • Please help - trouble getting any applet to run with Mozilla or IE?

    Hello,
I am using Mozilla Firebird and MS IE 6 under WinXP Pro. I have installed JRE 1.4.2 and ensured that java is enabled in both browsers. But no matter what I do, no applet will run, at all. No classes are loaded, I just get an empty "resource not found" box. I must have installed the JRE 4 times now, and the process seems to finish flawlessly. Any ideas? Do I have to patch my windows? I would really like to test some java on this pc!!!!!!
    Thanks.

this combination works fine for me!
For Firebird check the Plugins Subdir or just write "abaout:plugins" the address field and hit enter. It should show you all plugins avail in Firebird.
Enable the java console (not JavaScript!!) in the Java(TM) Plugin settings.
Than a window whill show you "the work" of the Java Plugin.

  • Can a signed applet run classes from disk?

    Hi all,
I have a signed applet jar and a signed jar file somewhere on disk (I can ensure the jar file is available on client's machine before i run the applet). My applet doesn't let me have file io access from the classes in the jar file on disk. It gives the following exception:
    java.security.AccessControlException: access denied (java.io.FilePermission C:\test.jar read)
However I do have file io access from classes in the applet jar itself. Both the jar files are signed.
Is there any way to get around the plug-in security in this case?
Using installed extension (jar/lib/ext) is not an option, unfortunately.
    Any help will be appreciated.

  • I can get videos to run that had QT with a questions mark previously

However, I have to turn off or uncheck "Enable Protected Mode" under Security Settings in IE 7. I don't think you want to run IE 7 permanently with that setting unchecked. So, which secutity settings do we believe might be affecting this. If we go into custom level to check or uncheck settings.....which ones ?

Yup.  On the front of the printer: Setup > Network > Restore Network Defaults.  Now, from that same Network menu run the Wireless Setup Wizard.
Once you are done with that, go to Start > Control Panel > Printers and delete all instances of your printer.
    Finally, re-add the printer:
    1. Make sure the printer is turned on and connected to your network. Verify that you can access the printer's internal web page by browsing to its IP address before continuing.
    2. Click >> Start >> Control panel >> Printers.
    3. Click the Add a printer
    4. Select Local printer
    5. Select Create a new port and select Standard TCP/IP Port and click Next button.
    6. Under Device type, select TCP/IP Device. Under Hostname or IP address, enter the printer's IP address. Click Next.
    7. Select Hewlett-Packard from the list of manufacturers and select and select your printer model. Click Next.
If your printer model was not listed, then select Have Disk, browse the HP CD that came with your printer and select the first file that starts with hp and ends with inf. Click Open then OK. Select your printer model. Click Next.
    8. If you are asked, use the currently installed driver.
    9. It will ask for the Printer name -- enter a new name or use the existing one. This will be the name of the printer that you select from other applications.
    10. You may be asked to share the printer. Choose NO.
    11. The Print Test Page box appears. Go ahead and print it.
    12. Click Finish.

    Welcome to the forums!
Sounds like you are having a software issues. Try to back up and complete a clean reload of the device software as shown here http://bbry.lv/cG8oer. I would also recommend  testing  before restoring data taht way you know if you have corrupt data on the device.
