I can install, but not run, firefox 4 on windows 7 fire edition. can you help?

I use XP not Windows 7, but the current user and the administrator may be subtly different. I am not certain I understand what a ''fire edition'' is, unless this is a reference to Firefox 4.
I would not expect that you would normally need a password run or use the browser Firefox 4, although you probably need a login name and a password to login to and start using your Operating System account in Windows 7. Obviously you can not start Firefox without using an Operating System - such as Windows 7. You may need a password and a login to make full use of this current forum, the Firefox Support messageboard.
Presumably at the moment you are using Internet Explorer 8, as your browser.
Have you tried reading the linked articles I mentioned in my first post, the light blue text are links, and should open ok with Internet Explorer.
