I can not sync my files
I have a whole folder that I can not sync
The names are BACKPACK150121.ai and similar names...I can not understand why
I can not see if these signs are "not allowed" as names
What is wrong?

Can you send me your log files please?. You can find them in the following locations:

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CoreSync

Although you used the new USB 3.0 port, the actual connection speed is still USB2.0, as the iPod Dock connector, does not have the 10 times faster USB3.0 signal pins, the connection speed is still 480Mbits/s
I assumed that you have tried the other USB 2.0 port to no success..
Can you do the iPod Disk diagnostic as posted earlier by tt2, it wont fix your problem, but helps in troubleshooting.

I am trying to get some advice as to why my Ipod will not completely sync since I updated Itunes. Itunes keeps telling me it can not sync my Ipod due to a duplicate file name? It will sync some of my songs but not all of them. Any thoughts?
Most likely the iPod filesystem is corrupted, during a partial sync, that freeze due to a timeout.
In My Computer, select the iPod, right click Properties->Tools->Check Now
tick both Fix filesystem and scan.for bad sectors.
This will fix the duplicate name error.

I can not sync my Iphone 4s with Itunes. I get a "required file can not be found" error. I went the apple stroe yesterday and they said a file may be corrupt. I have uninstalled and re-installed Itunes so it is up to date. ANy thoughts?

Can I sync database files over to Mobile Me and then from MobileMe to iPod?
Many programs will allow you to sync over Mobile Me and but not over a USB connection. Can I sync the files on my Mac to Mobile Me and then sync them to my iPod when I am somewhere that has a WiFi connection? I am asking this because the place I work does not have WiFi and I need to have a WiFi connection to sync database files (such as OmniFocus, Billings, and Bento.)

I don't think that it is broken. I think that it is intentional ( by design). Possibly to make it more difficult to use ipod touch to pirate/steal music/movies/etc.
The ipod touch and iphone have never had this feature.

My audio files no longer sync to the in the 5d in camera audio. It did when I bought the program but no longer does I reinstalled and it still will not sync the files recorded on the H4N with the Canon 5D Mark II Camera.
The program used to import and transcode the Can 5D footage but no longer does. The program freezes often and looses my projects as well. TomThanks, but as I've said I've tried all of that described in the reference you've kindly given. I don't have a local cache, and hence no PST files. The only one I have is an OST file which I have checked for integrity using the Microsoft supplied tools. I have switched to local PST (a suggestion given in another thread), and found that not to work either, so have switched back to non cached. I have even renamed the OST file to .BAK, and had it rebuilt. Again to no avail. There is a bona fide bug here. The http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=306635 article does only say "This may be due to the format of the Outlook Personal Storage File (.PST)", so I guess as the operative word is "may", its not a guarantee of this being the solution.
Also I'm not syncing my contacts, I'm only doing the calendar nothing else.
Additionally, this used to work, so your hypothesis, of the "bad data", being synced in 7.6 and then not being able to be subsequently budged is a definate goer I think. But the trick would be to work out what the bad data is. I'm assuming the source of the bad data is the iphone, so I've deleted old calendar in outlook entries I know to have come from the iPhone, that has, as yet, been a fruitless exercise.
I do thank you though for your help though, I'll be scouring the internet for any tidbits of information which might help, and I'll post them back here if I find the solution, or anything which may help others unfortunate enough to be in this situation. -

If I restore my ipod, will it prompt me to backup my existing data? When I begin the restore process, it tells me that all data will be erased. I'm trying to download my library to a different ipod.
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for just such an occasion.
Use your backup copy of your computer to put everything on the new one.
It sounds like you have failed to do this, which is not good at all.
You will have to transfer your itunes purchases from your iphone. Authorize your computer for your itunes account
About iTunes Store authorization and deauthorization
Open itunes, plug in iphone, do NOT sync, click File>Transfer Purchases
When you do sync you will lose your pics ( photo library - synced from your old computer), your itunes content ( music, apps, videos,etc) , your contacts and your calendars. So do NOT sync yet. This is why a backup copy is so important.
Enter one unique contact and calendar entry on your computer.
When you first sync, you should get the option to merger the data. Choose it.
If you want your pics, then you will need to e-mail them to yourself before you sync. They will not be of the original quality as they are reduced when synced to iphone.
When all is as goos as it can be, then backup your computer, and always maintain the backup. -
I'm having trouble with custom ringtones. I have downloaded the free software "makeTones" and have created some ringtones. I then copied those to Mac and played them in ITunes. My Itunes library does not have a ringtones tab. I can not sync the ringtones (or I don't know how)! Please help.
Yes, the file extension is M4R. Does it matter where I save these files on my Macbook? I then opened them in Itunes and played them. I did find the Tones folder in Itunes but the Tones or Ringtones tab does not show up when I select Iphone (within Itunes). When I open the Tones folder in the Library, it is empty. The native iPhone OS doesn't allow that. I think there are several solutions to this, some of which may be against the AT&T or Apple rules. One legitimate solution is The Missing Sync for iPhone by mark/space (http://www.markspace.com).
Before I had an iPhone, I owned a copy of The Missing Sync for Windows Mobile. It was a pretty decent app. In my opinion, though, their app for the iPhone is NOT worth the price ($40 new, $25 for a cross-grade).
Also, check the App Store (if you have 2.0 software)--there may be an app that does this, probably for a lot less $.

Does anyone know if the AD recon is hard coded to only look in cn=users for accounts? In my environment we do not use cn=users but we have OUs that have users in them but when I run a recon I get a "no records found" message in the log.

Using iMovie to view AVCHD files. Is this this only way?
Video clips taken from my JVC camera are in AVCHD fromat. I find it difficult and limited using iMovie to view, sort and send clips. I don't want to use iFrame as ther is a significant loss of quality even though iFrame is a much more manageable form

Hey now... For awhile, I had a second monitor ( An analog flat panel) hooked up and used both during my FCP edit sessions. When I wanted to add text, I would use Boris Title 3D and "Click for Options" as would any one. My "Options" window would open
