It sounds like you have changed your Apple ID which you use with iTunes.  If so there are several places you may need to update it as outlined in this article.

    from over the years I had a lot of information in my address book that was not relevent anymore, was incorrect or incomplete or a dupluicate.     That's  your problem. You must have 10.7.5 or later installed to have iCloud. Upgrade your computer:
    Upgrading from Snow Leopard to Lion or Mountain Lion
    You can upgrade to Mountain Lion from Lion or directly from Snow Leopard. Mountain Lion can be downloaded from the Mac App Store for $19.99.
    If you sign into the App Store and try to purchase Mountain Lion but the App Store says your computer is not compatible then you may still be able to upgrade to Lion per the following information.

    If you used the "Manage your Apple ID" login at https://appleid.apple.com to simply change your primary email address of your existing AppleID, then all you need do is log out of iCloud and then log back in with the new email.  If on an iOS device, go to settings, delete the iCloud account, and then log back into it with the new email address.
    If you actually created a wholly new AppleID, then you cannot change that for your existing iCloud address.  You can make a new iCloud account with the new AppleID.  But your current iCloud login would continue to use the same AppleID as its login.

  • Drivers ..If they are the same - what is the difference?

    My issue surrounds the area of printer drivers.
    Question 1: If I want to run Windows on my Mac, does the printer use the Mac printer drivers (as effectively this is a VM sitting on a 10.x OS) or the Windows printer drivers held within the VM - effectively by-passing the Mac drivers?
    Then, question 2:  if I have a PC running Windows and I want to install the Apple printer drivers because they seem to produce the result I desire, can I do that as the hardware is primarily the same, and if yes - how can that be achieved?

    Thank you for your very succinct reply Linc however this has not helped me understand. I am trying to consider all possible permutations of the solutions before making a decision hence the reason for my question.
    Let me fill you in on the situation that prompted this enquiry and led to the heading
    I have both a Mac and a PC. The specifications are the same and both connect to the same printer. My Mac is running an old copy of Photoshop and I have put together a document that needs to be printed out on to a pre-printed document - which means that correct positioning is key. On screen the document lines up perfectly and printing from the Mac, it prints perfectly.
    I transfer that document to the PC and attempt the same thing.
    From the PC however, the printing is out by some cm.however it lines up perfectly on the screen - which leads me to understand that the core and fundamental difference lies within the print drivers.
    The hardware is the same - the only difference is the OS.
    Now, it is not acceptable to say - well just use the Mac - as this needs to work on a Windows environment as its destination will be a Windows machine on the other side of the world.
    So, with that additional information - could you re-read the questions and just maybe you could spare a little more than "no"?

  • My iCloud address on the iPad needs to be changed. If I press "delete account" it tells me I will lose all the content including pictures. How can I change it? I see other people have had the same problem

    I have had to change my e mail address but I cannot work out how to amend it on my iCloud account. If I press "delete account" the box appears telling me that I will lose all content including photos if I continue. The box asking for a password keeps appearing but I just press cancel and continue.
    I have not attempted to upgrade to iOS 7 until this problem is sorted. Can anyone help please?

    If you mean that you created a new icloud account using a new email address as the primary address, then when changing to that account on a device, all data maintained by the old account will be deleted.  I was not aware that photos are included.  But as for photos, ALWAYS sync them to a computer for archiving, never rely on icloud as your only backup.
    If you want to keep the contacts, etc. data from the old account, then go to Settings>icloud and turn off the services, one at a time.  When doing so, you are given the choice to keep the data local or delete from the device.  Later, when doing Delete Account and logging into the new account, your data will sync up to it.
    If, on the other hand, your changed email address is just an alias in the existig icloud account, then there's no reason to delete the account as the alias is just another link to the same account.

    Mmm... Let's say the way that the devices in the US are the way you want them to be. Now you want to sync the device to a computer in Canada. This is the hard or easy part depending how you look at it. Yes, you can sync and make a backup for the devices to the computer in Canada. But you will lose the photos, music, and videos that you have in iTunes in the States. What you will need to do is copy the folder for those items onto a flash drive and place that folder in ITunes Canadian computer. Also you won't be able to use the app store accounts from on country to another.
    I'm sure there has to be an easier  way to do this and I hope someone will chime in. I'm just thinking off the top of my head on how to do this...

    Are the photos in the Camera Roll album in the Photos app?
    If so you can connect the iPad to a computer and copy the photos to the computer. After they are on the computer you can sync them to the new iPad.

    Small consolation : iWeb is a very advanced piece of software. So advanced that even highly skilled professionals have difficulty understanding and using it.
    Anyway, your pages are NOT the same size by design. Which can clearly be seen. But also by checking the source of the pages.
    The Home page is 665px wide and the Contact page is 820px wide. That doesn't happen by magic. It's user induced.
    So do what I do : pay attention to every tiny detail. Especially when it's your business. No excuse.

  • V1.5.3 - 'diff' tool flags things as different when they are the same

    Using the 'diff' tool to compare databases. Resultant 'diff' script contains a lot of statements like this :
    ALTER TABLE "tabl1" MODIFY ("column1" NOT NULL ENABLE);
    .. but when i run them on the target, it tells me that the columns are already not null. No, i'm not running on the wrong db. In fact running that command on both the source and destination dbs elicits the same error :
    Error starting at line 1 in command:
    ALTER TABLE "tabl1" MODIFY ("column1" NOT NULL ENABLE)
    Error report:
    SQL Error: ORA-01442: column to be modified to NOT NULL is already NOT NULL
    01442. 00000 - "column to be modified to NOT NULL is already NOT NULL"

    Additionally, the 'diff' script when asked to compare functions includes the function definition in it's output. However running that on the target and then re-running the diff still flags that function as different.

    Further, i had a table defined in both db, same columns different column lenght :

  • Why do text boxes show up as different colors when they are the same color?

    I am baffled. I have created an InDesign document and I used the rectangle tool to create a blue box at the top of the document and one at the bottom. They are both filled with CMYK (100, 88, 35, 28). The one on the top of the document shows darker than the one at the bottom. I thought it was a document issue, so I created a new document. It does the same thing. I took the box at the top and moved it to the bottom and when it hit the half way point of the document, it changed colors (got lighter).

    I think that the best idea is to add one folder: Mozilla shared, just for all shared libraries.

    Hm.. it is nothing critical. Not a bug, error nor mistake. Just my idea.
    Just thought about it as in similar applications:
    All Open Office software use shared libs, Microsoft Office too.
    And it could keep both Firefox and Thunderbird up to date. Now both applications update seperately, and many files (compressed, but still) are downloaded two times. The biggest files:
    d3dx9_43.dll, D3DCompiler_43.dll, mozjs.dll
    but there are many others.
    You should decide if it is worth to show my sugestion..
