I have found a solution for my very special case with very same symptoms. I gave my iPhone 3GS to my son, created for him his own iCloud account (for backup and contact isolation) but used my App Store account, so that we pay only once for all those 190 applications. However, I was only able to install applications from my Mac, but not from "Purchased Apps", which showed blank screen or crashed.
Now I have tried to switch language to English (just for the case, probably was not necessary) and created another iCloud account (same Apple ID as I use for App Store) - I have switched only reminders on.
Now I'm able to see purchased apps, and I can install them. I have even changed the language back to Czech and then disabled reminders for that secondary iCloud account and finally deleted this account altogether. Still I can see purchased apps.
Between the steps that I did I have always closed the AppStore application from the task bar. Lets hope, it will survive restart. I hope the right Apple ID is now somewhere in the Keychain and marked for iCloud usage.

Close all open apps by double-tapping the home button, then swiping up and off the screen with the app window (not the smaller icon).
Then reset: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until the screen goes black and you see the Apple, then let go. (No data loss)

That is how it will show, all content is tied to the country as well as to the account, items will no longer show in the Purchased tabs in the store apps for redownloading for free.
For apps if you try to redownload an app from the main part of the store you should (based on what other people have posted) get a prompt saying that you've already bought the app and would you like to redownload it for free - try a free or cheap app and see if you get a similar prompt.
For media (music, films, tv shows) you will have to pay again if you want to redownload them.

Can't open already purchased apps

Yesterday I downloaded an app on the Mac App Store (Angry Birds), once downloaded it didn't open and unexpectedly quit. I downloaded the update this morning and now it says the OpenGL version (2.0) version needed to run the app is not supported by my computer!
How can I get a refund if the app is useless to me?

That should work. Go here to determine if there is perhaps a third Apple ID involved! If not, perhaps your memory isn't what is used to be. Change the password.
There have been some problems accessing pages on the Apple web site. If the hyperlink gives you a "We're sorry" message, try again.

I can't open any excel files after installing Snow Leopard. Is anyone else having this problem?
I have a standard iWork '08 install. Has anyone experienced? And better yet, know of a fix?

Most users who have had a problem opening Office files with the iWork apps after upgrading to Snow Leopard have the problem fixed by updating to the latest versions. For iWork '08 that is Pages 3.0.3 & Numbers 1.0.3. For iWork '09 it's Pages 4.0.2 & Numbers 2.0.2. I don't use Keynote, but it should also be updated. If you're not running the latest versions & Software Update says your software is up to date, make sure the applications are where the installer initially put them. The updaters are very picky. If the location is not where the updater is programmed to look or if the folder doesn't have the name the updater looks for, it will not work. The applications cannot be renamed or moved. They must be in the iWork '08 or iWork '09 folder in Applications. That iWork folder must be named iWork '08 or iWork '09. If it doesn't have the '08 or '09 Software Update won't find them & the updaters won't work.

Can't open Preview/Calendar/App store/iBooks/Terminal/Mail after updated to Mavericks

After I updated to Mavericks, I can not open Preview, Dictionary, App Store, iBooks, Keynotes, Photobooth, Quicktime, Contact, Calender, etc...
Mail keeps crashing everything I opened it.
iTunes and Safari is still working. Can someone tell me what's happening and how to solve my problem? Thanks a lot!
BTW, I remeber this symptom happened after I used Cleanmymac.

Evi, I have the same problem. When I first updated to Mavericks, everything is OK, but I use Cleanmymac too, It is may be because of Cleanmymac, it cleaned about 1G files.

I recently changed the the region of my Apple ID and now none of the previously purchased apps are showing up in Purchased info even if I delete and download them again. Before I changed the region I downloaded the free app called Constellation on my iPad, but upgraded it to Pro after changing region. I'm not exactly sure what happened but for some reason my App Store won't open anymore. Every time I try the message "You can't open the application App Store because it might be damaged or broken" pops up. And for some reason iPhoto is completely missing from my Macbook today as well. How do I get these two back and in working condition again??

Installing the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo will reinstall the App Store for you.
Restart your Mac after the combo is installed.
It's ok to do this even though you are already running v10.6.8
If necessary, you can re download iPhoto.

How can I clear the "Purchased" apps?

How can I clear the "Purchased" apps list from the "Not on This Iphone" list of the Updates section of the App Store on my Iphone 4?
There is no clear function. If I Erase All Content and Settings in General Settings will that do it? It'd be nice not to have to do that and erase all my data and media.

Nick, you had the right idea. Success! I changed my email address on my Apple ID. Then went to my Iphone and under Settings, iTunes & App Stores, press on AppleID: (I.D.inserted), Sign Out, Create New Apple ID. Used the original Apple ID email address to create a "new" Apple ID, going through the whole set up process again, including billing info. Then, when opening the App Store app there are no Purchased apps to display, because there are none on this "new" account. The old account still exists in Apple cyberspace, but it is not tied to my iPhone or iTunes anymore. There does not appear to be any way to delete an Apple ID. Maybe after a few centuries Apple will discard it. Maybe not.

I have installed iLife a few times and because of photostream, the version on the disc must be updated. Software update usually takes care of it. It sounds like you installed an old version over a new version. I've not tried that.
You have a late 2012 machine, if you open the Mac app store from the dock, you should be able to go to the purchased tab and download/install the right version of iphoto. Honestly, you should not have used that disc on this new of mac or at least only installed iDVD & iWeb but not garageband, iphoto, and iMovie.
If the Mac App Store shows iphoto as installed already, drag the app from your applications folder to the trash and reinstall it again from the Mac App Store. That is the version you need. You may find garageband and imovie have similar problems.

PS. your photos are in your photo folder in your home folder. don't touch those, I'm talking about the app "iphoto" in the applications folder.
