I cannot activate Keynote on my Macbook

KEYNOTE:
I have not used this app before. Both my Finder and App store show I have it downloaded. However when I scroll down to it in applications, the item is grayed out and I cannot click on it to activate. It will show up on my dock, but clicking icon just takes me into Finder.
Really counting on this for a major presentation next week- Suggestions?

Delete Keynote from applications, then empty the trash
Log into Mac App Store > Purchases tab and click install

Can't activate Photoshop on new MacBook Pro

Program Version: Photoshop Elements 8.
I just purchased a new MacBook Pro today to replace my three year old MacBook. I sold my old MacBook after I backed it up onto an external hard disk via Time Machine. I have used migration assistant to import everything back onto my new Macintosh and Photoshop throws an error saying that I cannot activate Photoshop because the serial number has been activated more than once (It is also used on my iMac).
My old MacBook has been reformatted and is no longer with me so I cannot go back and deactivate that copy of Photoshop (I have eBay records and emails showing the selling and reformatting of my old Macintosh for proof). What should I do? Who do I talk to? I do not want to purchase another copy of Photoshop. I use Photoshop for graphics in Web Development in University so I need it back up and running!

Yes, I realized that afterwards. To contact support for activation problems, go to the very bottom of the web page and click the Contact Adobe link and you'll see a place on the first tab for activation/deactivation. There are phone numbers in a drop down on the right side of the tab. Sorry, I can't link directly because I only get the US numbers here.

Cannot activate document sharing

Dear All, I am a new mac user from Italy.
I have a macbook and a G5 which used to share resources through a Netgear wifi router.
Now something happened.... and:
. I cannot share the printer (attached to the macbook)
. I can see the G5 from the macbook, but I cannot see the macbook from the G5.
The main problem is that I cannot activate the option "File sharing" in network preferences (in the G5). I tried to click start and then click it on hundred of times unsuccessfully.

I have just had a very similar sounding problem between my iMac G5 & and a macbook pro.
In my case - Applefileserver was crashing on the G5 - you can check this by opening Console from Applications/Utilities/ and seeing if there are any log entries like this

The cause, on my Imac, was a file missing. Use the Finder to view HD/Library/Preferences/ - among many other files, there should be one named com.apple.ByteRangeLocking.plist
If you cannot see this file, then that is likely the problem.
I tried copying the file from my macbook, but that did not solve anything - next I read this Macosxhints page
and created a new file ]com.apple.ByteRangeLocking.plist with the suggested content from the page; using Texedit That cured my problem completely.
If you do find this file is missing, and are uneasy about creating a new one yourself, I will gladly email a copy which works on my iMac G5 with 10.4.8. My email is visible in my discussions profile.

I am trying to assign delegation to a user and I receive the following message.
The delegates settings were not saved correctly. Cannot activate Send-on-behalf-of list. You do not have sufficient permission to perform this operation on this object.
We are using 2010 for the server and client. There are only specific mailboxes that this is happening for after being migrated from Lotus Notes. The user can use their mailfile fine however it is just the delegation that appears corrupted somehow.
I'm not sure how to fix this. I have checked the access through the security tab in ad and that looks fine.
Any help would be appreciated.

I did some more digging and I solved it.
This would be the solution:
In Active Directory Users and Computers
-Click on VIEW
-Click on ADVANCE FEATURES (this is important otherwise you won't see
the complete list in the next steps)
-Click on the USERS container
-Find the problem user's account
-Right mouse the account and click on PROPERTIES
-Click on the SECURITY tab
-In the top box, click on the SELF account
-In the bottom portion of the screen make sure the READ PERSONAL
INFORMATION & WRITE PERSONAL INFORMATION should both be checked for
ALLOW
If you can compare the permissions for 'SELF' with another user you probably should set them accordingly to be safe. I noticed that for the user where setting delegates (SOB) did
not work, more than those 2 permissions were missing.

I purchased Pages, Numbers and Keynote for my MacBook Pro and iPad last year. I just purchased a new iMac for my wife and it came with iWorks. When I try to save a document on the iMac it tells me I must buy an iWorks serial number, but the App Store shows the applications as installed and will not process the request. How do I correct?

Did you pay for iWorks to come preinstalled on the iMac? Because it sounds like what you have is a trial version, which is why it is stating that you need to buy a serial number.
I suggest that you delete the entire trial iWorks suite. Once they are safely in the Trash where the Mac App Store can't see them, you can sign into your account on the MAS and download the MAS versions that you own a license to use.

Sounds like your iPhone was previously hacked/jailbroken. If true, try using google.

Whenever you transfer something from one drive or volume to another, it is copied and the original remains where it was no matter the method you use. It is so by design: just in case you were to delete it on the one drive, you still have it on the other. However, if you no longer want the original, simply delete it and empty the trash.

You have 17 options to save as in Open Office, one of which is .doc files, yes it needs to be saved manually.
You may be able to default to DOC, but have not tried same.
Since Open Office is 99% same as Word, I use it, or Word, either one. Open Office is a bit less buggy than Word 11'
