I cannot find my bookmarks in the new firefox or my old firefox
I downloaded firefox 4 and guessed that my old book marks would transfer so I binned my old firefox. Then realised the book marks had not transfered I reinstated my old firefox from the bin and my bookmarks are nowhere to be seen in any firefox can anyone help please?
The show duplicates/show exact duplicates features have been left out of iTunes 11. Rumor suggests they will be restored in the next build. In the meantime I have written two Windows scripts to make playlists of Duplicates and Exact Duplicates, either from a selection of tracks or the entire library.
If you want to manually remove duplicate tracks use shift-delete to remove selected tracks from the library as well as the playlist. Keep one of each repeated group of files and don't send to the recycle bin unless you are sure that there are multiple files on the disc as opposed to multiple entries to the same file.
There is also my DeDuper script if you don't want to do it by hand. This can preserve ratings, play counts, playlist membership, etc. which are lost in a manual clean up. Please take note of the warning to backup your library before deduping. See this thread for background on deduping and the script.

The previous version of Itunes had a function where I could identify duplicate songs in my iTUNES library. I cannot find this function in the new version of iTUNES.

How do I pair an older Firefox with bookmarks with the new Firefox system without pairing function?
Firefox is fantastic except when I have a problem. I must be real stupid. I have sent questions about different issues in the past and I see I got a lot of help. Unfortunately I cannot read any results. That is why I quit Firefox for a while. I just decided to give it another try; Firefox is worth it.
I have had Firefox installed on my "Win 7 Home" laptop for some time without updating it. It contains all my bookmarks from some time back. I just came back to Firefox and installed it on both my desktop machines with Win 7 Pro. The new Firefox sync and pairing are different. I cannot pair my old laptop with my new machines to copy all my bookmarks. I also cannot pair my two desktops.
What makes it worse, I cannot get the laptop to join the same home group my desktops are in. I tried different combinations with each computer and laptop creating the home group, but I could not get either desktop to be in the same home group as the laptop. The desktops would join each other's home group but not the laptop's. I can see all machines are connected to my home network. This dummy needs help.Hi watashi,

Cannot find UML diagrams in the "New" dialog
I must be missing something simple but I can't for the life of me figure out how to create a UML diagram in JDev 11g. I had previously had the beta version with which I had no problems. But since I installed the release version, there is no "Diagram" category in the "New" dialog.
Are there different packages of the product that have different capabilities? It doesn't seem so from the download site. Or is there an extension I'm missing?
I've searched the forum to no avail.

You're running the Java Edition of the product not the full Studio*.* If you downloaded and installed the studio edition then the issue will be that you started the product with the Java Dvelopment role - You can fix that simply:
Tools > Preferences > Roles, check the Always prompt for role selection at startup and then restart JDeveloper. -
I am running Firefox 6 but cannot find "Organize Bookmarks" under the "Bookmarks" tab.
I am trying to export my bookmarks to Internet Explorer and the Help program says I should have "Organize Bookmarks" as a choice.
"Organize Bookmarks was renamed to Show All Bookmarks in Firefox 4+ versions."
Should be real simple to change it back or change it to something meaningful ;)

I have problem with restoring my saved password in Firefox 9.
The profile is no longer located %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\
In windows 7 the all of the setting of Firefox 9 are located inside (Drive:\\My Documents\FireFox Settings) folder.
I have copied all of my old setting including bookmarks and cookies and they word perfectly.
However I have problem with saved passwords. I copied the files "signons.sqlite" and "key3.db" into (Drive:\\My Documents\FireFox Settings) folder but I don't have my password.
I tried to set a fresh "save password" and then replaced the files "signons.sqlite" and "key3.db" but no luck.
Please help.''' I don't like to use any utility to recover my password.''' I can't trust them. It should work with the file within my system.

My computer had a virus and had to be cleaned, but I had my Mozilla bookmarks in a Word file now located on my Desktop. I have spent hours trying to drag those bookmarks to the new Mozilla. There should be an easy way to do this. Can you tell me how in simple straightforward steps? Thanks.If the Word file is a document file type (.doc), you may be able to save it as a .html file, then import that .html file into Firefox.
In Word, open the .doc file containing the Bookmarks,
*click File > Save As,
*in the "Save in" box, choose a Folder or location on your hard drive to save the file where you can find it later,
*in the "Save type as" box choose ".html",
*in the "Filename box" enter "bookmarks.html" (without the quotation marks),
*click "Save"

When I downloaded the new Firefox about a week or two ago all my bookmarks, and add-ons disappeared and I want you to give them back to me asap?
You shouldn't wait that long to ask advice. Firefox only keeps a (rotating) backup of bookmarks for the last 5 days that you started Firefox. So you may be out of luck.
You can check that you still use your old default profile that had your bookmarks.<br />

What's with the new Firefox 8.0? I made the mistake of updating mine and about 30% of the icons in bookmarks disappeared. It looks like you are requiring a favicon. Anyway, BAD IDEA!!!!!
Briansyddal - you might be able to manage your phone without a PC, but many of us can't, especially those of us with large iTunes libraries. How do you propose I manage my 250GB of music using only a phone? Maybe I could go out and buy 10 iPhones and spread my library out among them!
Catz537 - I have the same problem as you and I've spent hours on the web trying to find a solution to it. It was a problem with iOS 7 and 8.1.1 doesn't fix it. The the only advice from Apple is completely useless because it requires you, effectively, to delete and recreate your iTunes library and lose all your metadata, album art, notes etc and there's also no guarantee it will work. I wish I could be more help (even more - I wish Apple could be more help) - I updated to 8.1.1 at 1400 today. At 2200 I'm still "waiting for changes to be applied" for a measly 16GB of music transfer. -

It sounds like you have you are wanting to get new music to your iPod nano. I know that you haven't used iTunes in quite a while, but syncing the iPod nano to your iTunes library is the only supported method of doing so.

Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Include the options to rebuild the thumbnails. It may take three or four goes to work.

It's not supported. Accessing the files via the Finder can lead to a corrupted Library.
There are many, many ways to access your files in iPhoto: You can use any Open / Attach / Browse dialogue. On the left there's a Media heading, your pics can be accessed there. Command-Click for selecting multiple pics.

You can access the Library from the New Message Window in Mail:
There's a similar option in Outlook and many, many other apps. If you use Apple's Mail, Entourage, AOL or Eudora you can email from within iPhoto.
If you use a Cocoa-based Browser such as Safari, you can drag the pics from the iPhoto Window to the Attach window in the browser.
If you want to access the files with iPhoto not running:
For users of 10.6 and later: You can download a free Services component from MacOSXAutomation which will give you access to the iPhoto Library from your Services Menu.
Using the Services Preference Pane you can even create a keyboard shortcut for it.
For Users of 10.4 and 10.5 Create a Media Browser using Automator (takes about 10 seconds) or use this free utility Karelia iMedia Browser
Other options include:
Drag and Drop: Drag a photo from the iPhoto Window to the desktop, there iPhoto will make a full-sized copy of the pic.
File -> Export: Select the files in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export. The dialogue will give you various options, including altering the format, naming the files and changing the size. Again, producing a copy.
Show File: a. On iPhoto 09 and earlier: Right- (or Control-) Click on a pic and in the resulting dialogue choose 'Show File'. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected. 3.b.
b: On iPhoto 11 and later: Select one of the affected photos in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Reveal in Finder -> Original. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected. -
I uninstalled Safari because it kept crashing and cannot find where to get a new installation.
There's no official download - the simplest thing is to reinstall via Recovery. That's only a problem if downloading 4+GB is difficult. Your files/data should remain intact, although you'd want backups in any case.
