I spent 2 days waiting and being transferred from dept to dept and they say its the banks fault......I have the info right in front of me and I entered the new infor just like its on the bill. I really and fed up with the fact that apple comes out with a new phone and makes all the others useless with these BIG downloads that use up all of your storage and then it gets to where you can't even get any updates....and now this. All I want is an app that is worth $2.99

Have you tried selecting 'none' on the payment details screen, exiting it, and then tried going back in and re-tried entering the card's details ? If you leave it as 'none' then you should be able to download app updates, and (depending upon your country) you might be able to get iTunes gift cards and use them as your payment method.

You might try a forced shutdown to begin with, hold down the top and home buttons together until the device shuts down, then restart it.
If your back up continually fails, you might try turning off back up on your mobile device (settings > iCloud > storage & backup) and then deleting the backup file from iCloud by swiping the backup file on the mobile device (settings > iCloud > storage & backup > manage…) and then turning back up on again.
Being able to back up to the cloud can be very useful, especially if you don't have access to a computer or have infrequent access to one, however unless you specifically need to use iCloud for back up, you will find backing up to iTunes significantly more convenient and possibly more reliable.

Since the new library gives you the same message log into another user account on your Mac and see if you can run iPhoto without getting that message. If you get that message there also a reinstall of iPhoto seems indicated. - Reset the iPod:
Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

i went back to check the Mac entry just to make sure it stuck. when i enter the CORRECT security code it seems to accept it. i click done and it seems to save the info. but when i re-log in, the security code and exp date are empty. this is the correct info.

When I try and sync my iphone (backup) with my imac any apps that I have put on the imac OR my iphone will not sync to eachother, so I lose some of my apps. Thank you Carolyn, I understand that and do use the same P/w for both the iphone and the computer and the apps were origionally for the iphone anyway, they just used to back on the computer and now they wont and the imac even cancels them off my iphone when I sync. (1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
