I would suggest downloading the OS X 10.8.2 Combo Update from Apple's website to see if it installs Safari 6.0.1. The way you will download it is by getting a USB stick and going into a computer that has a browser and download the 10.8.2 Combo Update dmg.

I am in a dilemma. After having accidentally deleted MUSE from my computer (!!), I am now unable to download it again from CC. It says it is already updated, but that is no comfort in this situation. I need to download it. Is there any help to get?

Sorry, but I use the Mac.
The problem was solved. Adobe has a small piece of software. It deletes all rests of software pieces on the computer. Muse was gone, but evidentally not small files belonging to Muse. The program erased everything, and now CC thought (rightly so) thought I had not installe Muse and allowed me to do so!

Hi HSPANHS,
Look into your controlpanel and see if muse is still there. If so, delete it.
Then you will be able to download it again.

Cannot download Safari, OS not recent enough?

I was trying to download Safari 3.1.2 from Apple's page, and when I tried to install, it said it could not because it requires an operating system of 10.5.2 or later, but I'm running 10.5.5. Is there something I'm doing wrong or need to install something else first?

The current Safari version is included with your version of Mac OS X; if you need to install or reinstall it, use the original disks followed by the combo updater.

How do I reinstall Bonjour - after I accidentally deleted it from my Macbook Pro!

I need to reinstall Bonjour on my Macbook Pro. I accidentally deleted it because I didn't know what it was!? And now my apps won't work that connect to my iPhone and iPad.

If you are talking about transfer while the iPhone is connected to the MacBook Pro by USB cable, try Image Capture.
If you are talking about transfer through iCloud, only photos taken after you turned on Photo Stream on the iPhone will be uploaded and available for download to your MacBook Pro. Try the method above for earlier photos.
If neither of those helps, you might try a general file-syncing system like DropBox.

Is it possible to add new tags after i accidentally deleted some?

I was renaming all the new coloured tags on my MacBook and i accidentally deleted some of the tags. I now dont have enough for all my different subjects but can see no option to add new tags, is it possible?

What I've done to create new tags from scratch is to create a throwaway text file called "tag test" (or something like that) and temporarily place it on my Desktop for easy access. Then, in Finder, I select the "tag test" file and click the "Edit Tags" icon in the toolbar at the top of the Finder window. (The "Edit Tags" icon looks like a horizontal switch.) From there, you can create a brand-new tag (say, "Tag 1"). After you press Enter, "Tag 1" will appear in the Tags list in the Sidebar. Two-finger click "Tag 1" in the Sidebar, and from the contextual menu, select the color you would like to apply. (You may also rename "Tag 1" to something else if you choose.)
Repeat this process as many times as necessary in order to recreate all the tags you'd like -- and then delete the "tag test" file.

How do I recover QuickTime Player X after I accidentally deleted it?

After accidentally deleting QuickTime Player X, I can't seem to recover it at all. Right now I'm resorting to QuickTime 7, but I can't do screen recordings without Quicktime X. I have searched everywhere on how to recover it, Google, wikipedia, YouTube.....etc. to no avail. Does anyone have any ideas?

ZTE Modem not installing after I accidentally deleted the application

Hi All
I am hoping someone can help.
I have a ZTE M190 modem that I am trying to reinstall onto my Macbook Air. I accidentally deleted the software from my Mac and trashed this as well..
Tried seeing if i can't find it using Time Machine, but not there.
I am currently running Yosemite and have tried most of the stuff i read online.
I can see the modem when i check my system information under Hardware/USB, but have no idea where to reinstall the software that i deleted. I deleted the .kext files as well, restarted, etc.. Nothing helps.
I have installed new drivers, restarted, still nothing..
I even tried using the modem in a windows pc and tried copying the installation files, but obviously the formats differ, and i cannot convert the file format.
I would really appreciate your feedback and advice.

QuickTime in Safari problems after recent update

I noticed that, after the recent 7.1.6 QuickTime update, media content on some web pages (like http://www.comcast.net) do not display. In their place is a QuickTime symbol with a "?." I've attempted to re-install QuickTIme, but to no avail. I've also noticed that the problem does not occur when using other browsers (such as Opera). Any quidance?

Thanks for the link. The file that was recommended to be deleted (com.apple.quicktime.plugin.preferences.plist) didn't solve the problem. However, since the problem didn't affect my other browsers, I tried to delete other Safari preference files (i.e. com.apple.Safari.plist and com.apple.Safari.plist.saved) and the problem disappeared. I didn't find any of this information on the Apple discussion boards, and forgot to look on MacFixIt, etc. Thanks for the help!

Why won't safari update after recent iOS update?

I have done the most recent iOS update and my safari is still operating on the 5.1.10 version. Is this the most recent version? When I go to some websites it signals that it's outdated. Please help!

Or use Firefox. It is still being updated for Snow Leopard.

So i antecedently took safari off my computer. I have tried downloading it again but everytime i do it says that my computer does not meet the requirements for the update. HELP!!!!!!
BTW I have a mac mini that runs 10.4.9

You should know by now that Apple doesn't let you download any application from their web site, so there's no point in looking for it or trying to install what you think is Safari; it won't work.
If you want to reinstall Safari, you need to do this:
1. Insert your Mac OS X 10.4 install/restore disc and navigate to the Optional Installs folder.
2. Open the Optional Installs.mpkg file, check the box in the list of applications to install just Safari, then run the Installer.
3. Quit the Installer when it's done, eject the disc, and you will have Safari 2.x.
4. Download and install the 10.4.11 Combo Update. This will give you Safari 3.0.4.
5. Download and install the Safari Update for Tiger. This will update Safari to 3.1.2.
6. Use Disk Utility to Repair Permissions.

Cant download app world after software update

Hi,
I have just updated the software on my curve 8520 to OS 5 and app world needs to be updated, however the update says it cannot be completed, and when i try to download it via my blackberry browser it says sorry error once i get to the point of selecting my language. Appworld worked fine when i had my old software

Cant download any apps after 3.0 upgrade!? ***??

so about 5hrs ago i successfully downloaded and installed the new firmware 3.0. just now i tried to get an app from my phone (iphone 3g) and it stays saying waiting underneath.
so i try my computer and it says "we could not complete your request itunes network connection"
y is this? when will this get fixed?? this never happend before!!

ITunes store says app is 'downloaded'. It's been accidentally deleted from my mac, so iTunes can't find it. How do I redownload it?

Due to changing backup disks, some apps were deleted from my mac. iTunes says it can't find them, but when I look for them on the App Store, the button says 'downloaded', and there's nowhere to click to re-download them. Where do I go from here?

Thanks for the question. You’ll want to delete the app from your computer (even though technically it cannot be found). Once deleted from iTunes, you can return to your purchase history and re-download it:

Is there anyway to do this? I have not connected my iPhone to my computer since I deleted the messages. I heard that when you swipe to delete something off your Iphone it actually juest becoems hidden and is noted to be deleted when you connect it back to your computer, so I havent connected it. And i havent backed my iphone to the cloud in a long time. I need HELP!

The only way to recover any text msg is if you backed up to itunes on computer and you would need to restore from that backup. No text msg will be hidden and only deleted. Good Luck

Yes, it tells you exactly how to do this:
Open iTunes. (You can download the latest version of iTunes.)
