hi guys i m getting this problem i jst bought the iphone 4s but i cant take any backup from my old iphone coz its saying that i have to install new version itunes 10.5 but it doesnt work on my laptop so plz guys help me out

I'm having the same exact problem. I've been searching the boards, and unless I missed something, I can't seem to find a solution to this specific problem that I haven't tried already. This only seems to be a problem with TV shows (I haven't tried downloading a movie), music downloads work just fine. This is also just started a couple of weeks ago. It worked OK before then.
I have emailed support and got a credit for the TV show, but I keep running into the same issue.
I'm currently using iTunes 7.3, although this was a problem while I was using the previous version as well.

HT1152 I downloaded the most recent version of itunes and now I cannot burn CDs....the CD burner and drive are gone....any help???

Yesterday I downloaded the most recent version of itunes and created a playlist....i was unable to burn it to a CD. Message was there was no burner...it's like the entire drive is missing from my computer. My computer tech guy said the same thing happened to him but he hasn't found the fix yet. Any help???

Try to restore your iOS device two more times while connected with a cable, computer, and network you know are good.

doublechecking something before proceeding ... are any boxes ticked in the Compatibility tab for your QuickTime?
(i've seen that message produced when some of the Display Settings boxes in there are ticked, not just the compatibility mode one.)

I have set up a second iTunes user account on my PC, but when I create the new iTunes account it copies the music, videos etc from the original account and they seem to be linked. What am I doing wrong?

On the online tutorials I've seen it shows that when you create a new iTunes library it should open as a blank account, but that isn't happening.
What am I doing wrong?

If you have iTunes 11 turn on the Sidebar. Go to iTunes>View and click on Show Sidebar. You can also do a Crtl+S to show the sidebar. The sidebar is where Devices appears. and Control+B to show the Menu bar

The error message said that my computer didn't have the capabilities, but I have several other HD movies that I have always and can still watch without issue. Just this one doesn't work. Why, and do you know how to fix this?

Apparently the display is required to be HDCP compatible to view HD movies in iTunes. My display isn't so this is my problem. I contacted Apple support and they have agreed to credit me for the HD movie and I have now downloaded the SD version.

Restore to factory settings. That will use the latest iOS and then restore from a backup.
Never, never, never attempt an update/upgrade on any portable computer device without plugging it into its AC charger.

Im trying to free up some of the space on my macbook pro, its been filled up with itunes hd movies, so i purchased a 1TB portable hard drive and moved all my itunes files to it to free up some space. When i went into about this mac and checked storage, it says i have over 400GB's of back ups. When Time Machine backs up a portable Mac, some of the free space will be used to make local snapshots, which are backup copies of recently deleted files. The space occupied by local snapshots is reported as available by the Finder, and should be considered as such. In the Storage display of System Information, local snapshots are shown as Backups. The snapshots are automatically deleted when they expire or when free space falls below a certain level. You ordinarily don't need to, and should not, delete local snapshots yourself, nor should you disable them or Time Machine.

Trying to install iTunes on my Laptop, running windows 7 (64-bit), but whenever I reach the end of the install, it pops up with an error telling me:
"Service 'Apple Mobile Device' (Apple Mobile Device) could not be installed. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to install system services"

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for performance issues or compatibility with third party software.
