Ok actually my mistake it says "an error occurred during activation. try again" I spoke with apple tech support right now and she mentioned they are having trouble with there servers. Do you by any chance know what the restrictions area means? Should that be activated or deactivated, does that make a difference?

How can I access my iCloud email account when I don't remember the password and Apple won't accept the answer to my security question?

I set up an email account with " @me.com". I get a wrong password message when I try to log in. When I try to change my password I get an INcorrect answer message to the security question I'm asked my birth date so I know I have it right, unless I did a typo when I set up the account. I'm having a similar problem. Perhaps more complex. I just downloaded the 10.6.3 and it didn't solve the problem for my iPhone 5.
I have the new iPhone 5 and iTunes is asking for iTunes 7.0 in order to recognize the phone. I tried to download iTunes 7.0 but an error comes up stating that I need the 10.6.8. I tried to download from the app store. It will not download. It shows up under "other purchases" but the action button is blank. I have tried to re-download it and it won't let me do that either. Any suggestions?

There is nothing wrong with my iTunes, is more of the App store that I am concerned about. And I've tried the "Authorise this computer" yes it does download when using iTunes, but no luck with App Store. And, yes I am logged onto iTunes when doing purchases.
I find this really fustrating because the App store works fine on my ipod but once it comes to my macbook, it does not download. A few seconds later after I click on an app to download, the pop up message notifies me that the purchase cannot be downloaded.

If the book won't open then try deleting it from the bookshelf and re-download it via the Purchased tab in the ibookstore in the iBooks app and see if you can open that.

How do you update apps that where purchased using different iTunes accounts? I get a cannot connect to iTunes message and it won't accept the password even after you change it.

Both my iPad and iPhone have the same problem. I have purchased apps with three different accounts. I understand I will need to use the original acct to do the update but every time it asks for the password I put it in and get a message that I cannot connect to iTunes store. I have even had the password reset and it still will not connect on the upgrade. But I can sign in with that account and purchase new apps i am loading a free one now just to make sure. So what is that about? Please do not tell me I have to also use the original password! We have reset them so many times that there is no way to remember the original one used at time of purchase a year and 1/2 ago. Please help. I have also upgraded to the iCloud thinking this would solve the problem but it still exists.

I use only one Apple ID and only one ID. I did have to change the password at one point but I had no issues at all with updating apps after I changed the password.
If you can download new apps with the ID that you changed the password for, I would think that you will be able to update apps associated with that ID as well.
Did you try restarting the iPad after signing out of the one account and then sign in to the other account/accounts?

How do I accept/purchase/download ilife programs after restoring Lion on a new Macbook Air using a new apple ID. App store will not let me do anything but accept; and it won't accept the apps with the new apple id

I wanted to restore my new Macbook Air (over the web).. using a new apple ID instead of the old one I originally used when I bought the computer from the apple store a month ago. By doing that, everything worked, but the iLife programs that originally came with it shows in the app store as "ACCEPT". When I try to accept them... it says they are assigned to another ID.. you must repurchase them for this ID.
I have no problem if I have to repurchase. I just can't find anywhere to do that. No matter what I do, I can only "ACCEPT".. which as I said earlier - don't work.

What a nightmare, Serial Number is not being accepted. try the numbers on the discs, Yes I legally bought and own it, and it won't accept it.

Final Cut Studio, I just got a new imac and transfered contents from prior computer. And Final Cut Studio opens to the licesning window, and it won't accept the SN. It was workign on prior computer fine. But it will not accept the upgrade, or orginal SN. What is a person to do? How can a consumer use the software that is blocked that they legally paid for because it is not recogining the SN, yes it's spelled correctly and it's not a zero versus an "0".

Apple Store onlne, Does not list software past 18months on their website. How inconvenient. So that option is null too. I did register it so I will try and call the Apple Sales Support tomorrow, as they are not open currently. A lot of work to get a product to work that is legally purchased. This is why piracy so attractive. Because when You play by the rules and buy software and many many hoops to jump through. We shall see but I am sure the phone number will ask, "oh did you buy some apple support for this?" well we can't help you unless you pay.
The solution is to have the software be able to be installed with valid software, and/or have an online access that shows your SN, and allows you to cancel or regenerate a code.
