I cloud password different from apple ID? won't recognise my password, so I reset it as want to give my phone to my daughter. Having MAJOR problems!!

I want to give my old iphone4 to my daughter but it won't let me reset anything without my iCloud password. Unfortunately it did not recognise my password and when I requested to reset it I was taken to Apple ID. I changed the password but my email is not an iCloud one so it still won't recognise it or my original i cloud password. Help!! Apple have been no help at all....

Hey! What way did you try to reset your iphone?
The easiest thing (please correct me if i'm wrong now) is:
settings, general, reset -> reset all ("contents and settings")
You just need the unlock-code for this.
What iOS are you running on that phone?

I had a similar issue. I closed the Cloud icon, and when I went to open it again, it just died.
I uninstalled Adobe Creative Cloud, went to the Adobe CC download page and requested a trial copy of PS, being sure to enter my CC name and password. It then reinstalled Adobe Creative Cloud, and all is working again (I hope).

Backed up using i-cloud now can not restore because security questions are different from apple account?

i just purchased a new i-touch for my son becasue he smashed th old one. I purchased it at the apple store and the tech told me to back info up utilizing i-cloud. I did that inside the store. I am trying to set the i-touch up using the i-cloud backup but when i get to the security question part, the questions are different from my apple account. I then get an error message saying server error. I called apple and they did not seem to be much help.

Contact Apple through iTunes Store Support, and explain that you have forgotten your 3 security questions, that you can reset your password, but doing so doesn't reset your security questions.
Explain that after resetting your password, you are still asked for the answers you have forgotten, before you can gain access to My Apple ID > Manage your account > Password & security, which is where you need to be to change your answers.
Remember, support will receive hundreds, if not thousands of requests per day, some from people trying it on, others with little explanation and others that are written extremely poorly. Take the time to explain your situation properly, be precise and concise, brief but comprehensive.

The person who sold you the device can remove the ID without giving it to you. Follow the steos in "What to do if you no longer have the device." In the artcle below. If you can't find the person or they won't do it you're stuck with a unusable device.

My Itunes match status on some songs is different from the the status I get when I click info:
The songs are ripped from cd.
Any idea how to get the correct icloud status?

Ah, I see.
That is a little odd. But I think I know what happened. Did you, perhaps, upgrade that particular track? Because if you did that would give it a "Kind" of "Matched AAC audio file." I have a handful of those in my library as well. As to why it has a status of "uploaded" ... I can only surmise that the resulting matched file that you downloaded has then been "uploaded." Although why is an interesting question.
You could try removing the tracks from your library, and the cloud (but keep them on the HDD). Then readd them to the library and let the iTM process do it's thing. It will probably "match."

How do i transfer information from one iPad to another as I recently bought a new one and want to give the original to someone else.

I bought an iPad 2 in May without 3G and recently decided I wanted that feature so bought a new one with 3G. I want to give the original to someone else, but need to know how to transfer my data and apps to the new one and "wipe" the other so it doesn't include any personalized information. How do i do that?

The sync should backup the iPad as Fred said but take no chances.
Connect your iPad and let it sync. Then right click on the iPad name on the left side of iTunes under devices and select Transfer Purchases. After that completes, right click on the iPad name again and select Backup. After that completes sync one last time and disconnect the iPad.
When the new iPad arrives, before you connect the iPad - launch iTunes and turn off auto sync. From the menu at the top go to File>Preferences>Devices> and check "Prevent iPods, iPhones and iPads from syncing automatically. Quit iTunes.
Now connect the iPad and launch iTunes and activate the device. Then after setting up the iPad - right click on the iPad name on the left side - select Restore - restore from Backup -the backup of your old iPad. When it finishes - go into each tab in iTunes and make sure that you have everything that you want to put on the iPad selected to sync - by putting a checkmark in all of the headings - Sync Apps, Sync Music, Sync Photos, etc. Then select all of the content that you want in each of those tabs and then sync by selecting Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes.
If you have the opportunity to restore from the backup when going through the activation process- restore then and there. I can't remember if iTunes will ask if you want to restore from the backup but if so - go ahead and do it.

How to locate icloud id if different from apple id?

my apple id is current but i apparently have a different icloud password. can't remember it. anyway to access it? it states at sign in that my apple id and password are correct. its just not my icloud password

Today i learned that seperate mail ID can be used for [store] & [iCloud, Game centre, iMessage].
So am gonna Use my hotmail ID for Store alone & gmail id for other services
I found The reason why i got sign in request from my Gmail id while updating apps, its cz my iPad also has some apps purchased with gmail ID.

An totaly different doubt but not importanat to current context now. I created 2 me.com ID for personal & professional now i have an an mail id [email protected] ID also in my iPad wch has same [email protected] as Apple ID. dunno how it happened. it doesn't have any @gmail.com or @hotmail.com like services linked to it !! (created mail id's when icloud was released so i forgot how it happened)

Does signing into app store using [email protected] is same as signing in with [email protected] (both are linked as in abv post)

ICloud email address different from Apple ID

My iCloud account won't allow me to sign in because the email address listed (******@mac.com) is not the address I use for my Apple ID. When I click for sign-in help it wants me to change my password ... which isn't the problem. Any ideas?

Welcome to the Apple Community.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
Providing you are simply updating your existing details and not changing to another account, when you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.

Downloaded game from Apple store, won't mount

You Tube menu different from Apple TV You Tube menu

Hello. When I search You Tube online, I get a certain set of results. I want to watch it on the large screen so I go into the bedroom, turn on APple TV, go to You Tube search and put in the EXACT title that I am seeing on my laptop You Tube menu ---- but nope. It will not come up on the Apple TV version. It is frustrating to to use the remote over and over again for no results.
This happens frequently, but searching for tbis episode of Dateline tonight is what put me over the edge. The only episode that appears is Pt.8_11
I have tried to conquer this on my own a hundred different ways but I accept that it is time to ask for help. Help?

Thank you for taking the time reply. It's an 11 part episode of Dateline and episode 8 of 11 is listed. None of the others come up on Apple TV YouTube menu. It is weird.

Developer first name different from apple id

I have an apple id but when I use it to try enroll as a developer it does not use my correct first name when I log in.

Same problem. I want to register as a developer with my real name (already changed it in my apple it profile), but it still shows my nickname which was by mistake put in name years ago. I don't want to register new apple id.

4S bought in U.S. from Apple and used with Sprint. Now living in Ecuador and found out Sprint locked my phone. How can I get it to work in Ecuador using a local carrier?

I have a couple of 4S iPhones bought at the Apple store in Jan. 2012. We used Sprint until we moved to Ecuador. I want to use them here using a local network, but Sprint has them locked and refuses to help me. What can I do? I bought out the contract with them, so I don't understand.

The Sprint phone is primarily a CDMA phone and can not be completely unlocked. Sprint can unlock the SIM slot for use while travelling internationally, but my understanding is they will only do so for current customers in good standing.
If you bought out the contract, contact them and ask about having the SIM slot unlocked. The worst thing they can say is 'no'.

Attention to the apple developer, u need to check the issue about the iMovie which installed in an iPad 4th gen. Is having a problem during closing the app from the theater page to the home screen. It doesn't closes exactly severally...

Thanks for the swift reply, I have been looking online and a loose plug seems to be somewhat of an issue with many, I hope mine is actually a problem and not what others are experiencing. It's taken me this long to even reach out for the simple fact I HATE being a complainer but this is just horrible.
