Developer first name different from apple id

I have an apple id but when I use it to try enroll as a developer it does not use my correct first name when I log in.

Same problem. I want to register as a developer with my real name (already changed it in my apple it profile), but it still shows my nickname which was by mistake put in name years ago. I don't want to register new apple id.

Listener listners to name different from instance_name

Is it possible to configure listener to lister to a name different from instance_name?
For example, if instance_name is INST1, I'd like to make listener be able to listen to name "INST" and know that this is for "INST1"
If possible, this is what TNSNAME at client is

Thanks for your reply. Actually my concern is much at client side not on database server side. Please let me expalin what I mean.
The back-end database is 2-node RAC - Two instances INST1 and INST2 on node1 and node2 respectively. Most of our clients will use TAF (Transparent Application Failover) config and use SERVICE_NAME=INST in TNSNAMES.ora. They have no issue connection to RAC database and take advantage of fail over and load baclancing capability.
However, one of clients is legacy app. :-( It does not use oracle client (so not using TNSNAME). It has its own db driver. The only option I allow to enter is hostname + SID. This would work fine with stand alone database (one host + one instance), or I can even connection to specific RAC node (like node 1 + SID=INST1).
But we'd like to take advantage of fail over of having two instances. We would like to connection to one instance and if in case node fails, it will go to other.
We can have a virtual hotname using 3rd party load balancer - it will go to the least load node with host name translation - user connects to virtual host > translate to node 1 or node 2 depending on load. . But since listener on node 1 is listenning to SID_NAME=INST1 and node 2 to INST2, using SID=INST at client in tnsname.ora would not work (get error "ORA-12505: TNS:listener does not currently know of SID", nor I could use SID=INST1 or SID=INST2 becuase it won't be transparent when failover. Ideally I want to use SID=INST in TNSNAMES.ora and, if possible, I'd like the listener on node 1 listens to INST1 as well as INST and node2 listners to INST2 as well as INST. This way client connection will be transparent. Sorry for long explanation. But hopefully I make my situation clearer. Thanks again in advance.

Changing Users Name - different from the other post below

I want to change my home name under the places folder. It's not my account name that can be viewed in the preferences under account. When I got this new MacBook Pro and went thru the set up, somehow I must have agreed to use the name that is next to the house icon under places in the finder sidebar. I really don't know where they got it from and when I search the whole computer all that comes up is the user folder. I tried to rename the name but it won't let me. There has to be somewhere I can change that name short of clearing out the contents of the MacBook and loading a new system from the supplied start up disk.

Just to amplify -
An account actually has two names, the "long name" (now called "Full Name" in System Preferences), and the ""short name" (normally a single word in lower case, called "Account Name" in System Preferences when you first set up an account).
When you set up a user account and enter your "Full Name," the system will suggest an Account Name (the "short name"), and you have *just this one chance* to change it:
Once set, the short name becomes the name of your home folder (the house icon in Finder) and is not easily changed. You can't just change the home folder name, because the short name is also an intrinsic part of your user account. However if you very much want to change the short name, there are a few ways to do this. Apple's method is here:

It's somewhat complicated as you will see, and changing the short name this way can sometimes introduce a few permissions glitches. You could still try it, or since your Mac is still new, you might instead consider wiping the HD and starting over.

PPOME order of name differs from personnal area

I think i have a problem....
In my company, we have a personnal area from belgium and one from luxembourg
the screen of encoding are different, asking in one the last name first and in the other asking the first name first.
I don't know if it s because of that but :
when i m in PPOME and i look at my organisation structure and the person assigned to it, i have the name of the superior in the following order :
--> BE : first name last name
--> LU : last name first name
Could it be possible to have just one type of order? ex : first name last name?
If i look in a list, the first name are in the first name column and the last name are in the last column in both of case....
Could someone help me please??

Maybe this is the way the name formats are configured by country grouping.
Have a look in the IMG under :
Personnel Management - Personnel Administration - Personal Data - Name Format and choose the option for Define Name Format.
You can set the name format by country groupings although changing this may effect more than just PPOME.
Also on the PA20 Display Master Data, is there the same name format difference when you enter the personnel numbers of the Belgian and Luxembourg employee.

How to display last name first and then first name last from one name column?

I am trying to write a code which will display the last Name first then second name at last. For example;
If the value of table column is: "John Decker Revora"
I want to display "Revora, John Decker".
I think I will first look for the gap in between the name and from last gap i will pick up the value and then concathenate with rest of the name.

You need to do this in the query, using the instr and substr functions. Search the documentation for info on these functions. As a startpoint, I'll copy here an example from Kevin Loney's Oracle 8i The Complete Reference that does the opposite... you can adjust this to your needs:

Backed up using i-cloud now can not restore because security questions are different from apple account?

i just purchased a new i-touch for my son becasue he smashed th old one. I purchased it at the apple store and the tech told me to back info up utilizing i-cloud. I did that inside the store. I am trying to set the i-touch up using the i-cloud backup but when i get to the security question part, the questions are different from my apple account. I then get an error message saying server error. I called apple and they did not seem to be much help.

Contact Apple through iTunes Store Support, and explain that you have forgotten your 3 security questions, that you can reset your password, but doing so doesn't reset your security questions.
Explain that after resetting your password, you are still asked for the answers you have forgotten, before you can gain access to My Apple ID > Manage your account > Password & security, which is where you need to be to change your answers.
Remember, support will receive hundreds, if not thousands of requests per day, some from people trying it on, others with little explanation and others that are written extremely poorly. Take the time to explain your situation properly, be precise and concise, brief but comprehensive.

First photo order from apple cuts off subjects head

Who is the genius at the Apple developing room who needs to crop a photo so that the subjects head is cut off? Usually when you send a picture into a photo store, they get it right the first time without exercising their creative PHOTOGRAPHER abilities. Why can't the film processors just leave the prints as is when they receive them? Well, I guess I will go elsewhere for my photo orders as the "creative" people there just have to show off their new, exciting film techniques by expanding, editing, cropping, and did I mention that the picture order I did receive looked nothing like what I sent them...UUGGHH!!! Go work at Costco or something...I think that's where I'll try next.

How do I make sure my prints are not cropped incorrectly during processing?
Each print size has its own slightly different rectangular shape, known as the aspect ratio. For example, an 8 x 10 print is proportionately taller and narrower than a 4 x 6 print. To make your image fit these different print shapes, photo labs usually enlarge the image slightly and crop out what doesn't fit.
For the best results, you should crop your images to the same aspect ratio as the print size you are ordering.

Mail server config inconsistent when host name differs from domain name

Hi,
I've installed Leopard server on host server.example.com but want to server email for example.com the host name for incoming mail should be mx01.example.com. DNS is setup properly resolving server.example.com and mx01.example.com (both forward and reverse, mx01 having a separate IP) and mx01.example.com is set as MX for example.com. Both IPs are routed to the internal server by the firewall.
In Server Admin, server.example.com is set as computer name (also resolved to the proper internal IP by our internal DNS), and in mail settings -> General, domain name is set to example.com and host name to mx01.example.com (so that the mail server identifies itself properly when connected on port 25).
Normal mail traffic works perfectly: Users can send and receive mail from/to addresses like <user_shortname>@example.com. I've got problems with mailing lists, though:
First, group based mailing lists (for groups created in Workgroup Manager) have the wrong addresses: <group_shortname>@server.example.com. Those addresses are linked when you view the croup in Directory.app. You can send mails to eg [email protected] when connecting to the server via telnet on port 25, but get an error email ([email protected]>: mail for server.example.com loops back to myself, Reporting-MTA: mx01.example.com) back.
Second, mailman based mailing lists also have the wrong addresses: <listname>@server.example.com and at the bottom of the mails received from the lists, there are also links to the lists web page with the url mx01.example.com instead of the host's name server.example.com.
mx01 should only be used by incoming SMTP, but if this isn't possible, I could revert to using server.example.com for the MX record as well. But the email addresses should definitely use the domain name and not the full server name as domain part. This is a typical email server setup and I can't understand why leopard server handles this differently. Does anyone have a workaround for this or could tell me how to setup an email system properly?

Well, you pointed me into the right direction: Changing the mail server's host name helped a bit. I just dumped the name mx01.example.org. The host is called server.example.org and in mail settings, the domain name is set to example.org while the host name is set to server.example.com. The MX record will have to point to server.example.org, then.
The server now accepts emails to group based mailing lists à la <group_shortname>@example.org. In Directory.app, the link the the group's mailing list still opens a new Mail to <group_shortname>@server.example.org, though.
For mailman based mailing lists, the link to the list's listinfo page in the bottom of emails received from the list is now correctly pointing to server.example.org. The list's address shown there still is <list_name>@server.example.org.

How to locate icloud id if different from apple id?

my apple id is current but i apparently have a different icloud password. can't remember it. anyway to access it? it states at sign in that my apple id and password are correct. its just not my icloud password

An totaly different doubt but not importanat to current context now. I created 2 me.com ID for personal & professional now i have an an mail id [email protected] ID also in my iPad wch has same [email protected] as Apple ID. dunno how it happened. it doesn't have any @gmail.com or @hotmail.com like services linked to it !! (created mail id's when icloud was released so i forgot how it happened)

Why does icloud account name differ from Apple ID?

Hi all. My first Apple product was an iPad (original). At the time I had to set up an account. I used an email address that is no longer active. I've got a new Apple ID - which references my current active email address.
I also have an iPhone. The Apple ID is current, and I'm able to use it to purchase APPS, and login to view my profile, etc.
But, in Settings on the iPhone, when I click on iCloud, and the Account, it lists the original account name (which is the no-long active email address) and a blocked-out password which I don't remember. I'm unable to view Payment Information because it requires a password. I can no longer get wireless on my iPad because the Payment Information credit card has expired.
So - in sum - my ICloud info is wrong and inaccessible, but my Apple ID is accessible. What should I do????

ICloud email address different from Apple ID

My iCloud account won't allow me to sign in because the email address listed (******@mac.com) is not the address I use for my Apple ID. When I click for sign-in help it wants me to change my password ... which isn't the problem. Any ideas?

Welcome to the Apple Community.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
Providing you are simply updating your existing details and not changing to another account, when you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.

You Tube menu different from Apple TV You Tube menu

Hello. When I search You Tube online, I get a certain set of results. I want to watch it on the large screen so I go into the bedroom, turn on APple TV, go to You Tube search and put in the EXACT title that I am seeing on my laptop You Tube menu ---- but nope. It will not come up on the Apple TV version. It is frustrating to to use the remote over and over again for no results.
This happens frequently, but searching for tbis episode of Dateline tonight is what put me over the edge. The only episode that appears is Pt.8_11
I have tried to conquer this on my own a hundred different ways but I accept that it is time to ask for help. Help?

Thank you for taking the time reply. It's an 11 part episode of Dateline and episode 8 of 11 is listed. None of the others come up on Apple TV YouTube menu. It is weird.

In Reporting Services, when we configure a service account in Reporting Services Configuration Manager, this account will be written into Urlreservations section automatically. This account is used for accessing the Web Services URL and Reporting Manager
URL. It's not related to Kerberos setting. For Configuring Kerberos Authentication for SSRS, Please refer to the links below:

I cloud password different from apple ID? won't recognise my password, so I reset it as want to give my phone to my daughter. Having MAJOR problems!!

I want to give my old iphone4 to my daughter but it won't let me reset anything without my iCloud password. Unfortunately it did not recognise my password and when I requested to reset it I was taken to Apple ID. I changed the password but my email is not an iCloud one so it still won't recognise it or my original i cloud password. Help!! Apple have been no help at all....

Hey! What way did you try to reset your iphone?
The easiest thing (please correct me if i'm wrong now) is:
settings, general, reset -> reset all ("contents and settings")
You just need the unlock-code for this.
What iOS are you running on that phone?
