I copied emails from aol in 2001 to my ibook, then transferred those documents to my G5 and saved it to my sdmi. Now i cannot open them. Can anyone help me on what to do how to retrieve and/or convert these documents?
I have very precious letters I wrote and I want to retrieve them from 2001. Is there any way? Thanks for your help.
Try assigning Queen as the Album Artist on the compilations in iTunes on your computer.

Sam,
Format your stick with MS-DOS (FAT32) format. I use camera CF cards as memory stick and a good practice is to regularly format them: it deals with defragmentation effectively.
JPG is a standard, regardless of which application writes it and is readable by all applications supporting JPG.
Make sure you properly eject your usb stick when you take the it out of the usb port: it makes sure the OS closes all open files. -
I bought a second hand G4 iBook with iLife 09 on it. I have copied iLife to my new Macbook Pro. The applications would not open, so I did a software update and update all three applications, but they will still not open. Can anyone help?
The seller should have given you the original disk so that you can reinstall as needed. But it likely was a single-user license (which really means single computer) so you can only have a copy on one computer at a time. If the seller didn't give you the disk he is probably still using the software on his new Mac. Your best option to get any of the iWork apps to use in OS X 10.6.6 or later is through the Mac App Store. You can then install them on any Mac you have that has access to the Mac App Store using your Apple ID.

I was told I could sync my music on my pc with my ipad2 by an apple agent. I hooked my ipad2 up to my pc and did so, but now I can not open any of my apps on my ipad2. when I try it just flickers and does not open. Can anyone help?
On you iPad, force close all the Apps in the multitask window.
Follow these steps to force an app to close:
From the Home screen, click the Home button twice.
Tap and hold on the app.
When it starts to jiggle, tap the to close it on by one until all cleared
Now do a Soft reset of your iPad:
Hold both Home and Sleep button for around 10secs until you see the Apple logo then release. After it returns to Home screen, try your Apps again and see if this resolves the issue. -

I think you are trying to install a computer application to use on an iPad. You can't. They are incompatible pieces of hardware. If you want Family Tree Maker for your iPad, then you need to get that version, if it exists, from the iTunes Store. That download can't be done via Safari.

Mine does the same thing occasionally, is your phone jailbroken? Sometimes it will work if you delete the book and reinstall it or put your phone into airplane mode then turn it back off.

I just purchased a mac and bought Logic Pro X. I have used fruity loops a little bit but this is completely different. Can anyone help me on getting started to make basic beats or anything?
Just a suggestion. You can pick up Apple Pro Training Series Logic Pro 9 & Logic Express 9 (iBooks or Amazon). It will be a good start as the versions are somewhat similar. It may be a while till something more current and specific will be out for learning Logic Pro X from the ground up.
There are few Youtube sources are available as well. -
