Is it possible to get a phone from a 3rd party, instead of buying a phone from Verizon at full price, to switch with the basic phone?
i have a basic prepaid phone and was given a samsung android verizon gave me several options from going to a contract or doing prepaid or month to month even got a free sim card

That's a question for Google. If Google wants to give you credit for purchases that you have made from Apple, then that is between you and Google. As far as Apple would be concerned, you don't have anything to transfer.

You may have to call into Verizon Customer care if you have a smartphone to remove the data plan and help you move over. Other than that it's a simple swap between devices. Contract doesn't matter unless you negligent in payment(or the person who you bought the device from is). -

iTunes will only import music from your phone that was purchased from the iTunes store. To transfer music from other sources you have to use 3rd party software, such as PhoneView.

I would have updates for my phone but they paused like 3/4th of the way.. i would have to turn off my phone just so it could finish.. does that happen to anyone else?
The easiest thing to do is a reset on the phone. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. After that, go to the app in question and tap on it. This should restart the download and finish it, as long as you have a solid internet connection.

iTunes is already on your iPhone as part of iOS.
Songs and ringtones are very different. They are differently formatted. You need to do a conversion to create a ringtone from a song. That is best done on your computer. If you have a Mac, you can use GarageBand to do it. If you have a Windows PC, you would need some utility on your computer. -

I am currently running two email accounts on my iPhone 4s.
Both accounts have email/contacts/calendar synced to the phone so I can have all contacts on the phone.
I now have to close one of these accounts due to work but I would like to keep all the contacts on the account I am closing, on the iPhone.
Does anyone know how to save these contacts to my phone so I dont lose any?
